    Chemistry and Physic Quality of Lohmann Brown Eggs as a result of Lemuru COD (Sardinella Longiceps) Feeding

    ABSTRAC AMILUDDIN INDI. H4A 004 001. Chemistry and Physic Quality of Lohmann Brown Eggs as a result of Lemuru COD (Sardinella Longiceps) Feeding. (Counselor : EDJENG SUPRIJATNA dan LUTHFI D. MAHFUDZ) This Research aim to identify the effect of lemuru cod feeding in ration, as an effort to increase the omega-3 content, decrease cholesterol degree in eggs and produce good quality eggs. Research conducted in Balebat Farm, sukorejo village, Kendal Regency. The material used are 120 horn chicken, with age of 22 weeks and average early weight of 1.745,2 ± 8,26 g. the ration used is arranged based on isoprotein. The experiment using complete random program (rancangan acak lengkap/RAL) with 5 treatments consists of R0: ratio without lemuru cod adding;R1: 1,5% of ration and lemuru cod; R2: 3% of ration and lemuru cod; R3 4,5% of ration and lemuru cod; R4: 6% of ration and lemuru cod. Every treatment has repeated 4 times, and every rrpetition has filled by 6 layer period chicken. Data has processed statistically by variety analysis. If there are any treatment effect, it will be continued with Duncan doubled distance test. The result research shows that the lemuru cod feeding in ransom has bring tangible effect (p<0,05) to the cholesterol content successively from R0 to R4: 230,07 to 157,24 mg/egg. Increasing EPA content from R0 to R4: 0,28 to 0,67%. DHA from R0 to R4: 0,81 to 5,01%. The analysis shows that the lemuru cod feeding in ratio has been tangible effect (P<0,05) to the egg physic quality. The egg yolk color score from R0 to R4: 6,750 to 0,080; the eggshell thickness from R0 to R4: 0,346 to 0,658 mm, haugh unit from R0 to R4: 87,673 to 98,688, eggs index from R0 to R4: 79,165 to 72,020, the eggyolk index from R0 to R4: 0,435 to 0,805 g Conclusing of the research is that the lemuru cod feeding in ration has decrease the cholesterol content and increase the omega-3 fat acid in eggs and increase the eggyolk color, eggshellthickness, haugh unit, eggyolk index with the lemuru cod feeding in ransom to 6% can be used for layer period chickens.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    EFEK BAHAN FILLER LOKAL TERHADAP KUALITAS FISIK DAN KIMIA BAKSO AYAM PETELUR AFKIR

                Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk olahan daging ayam petelur afkir yaitu bakso dengan nilai gizi sesuai dengan standar nasional produk olahan dan untuk mengevaluasi daya suka konsumen terhadap bakso ayam petelur afkir yang menggunakan filler lokal Sulawesi Tenggara melalui uji organoleptik.  Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, 3 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan adalah P1= daging ayam petelur afkir 60% dan tepung sagu 25%, P2= daging ayam petelur afkir 60% dan tepung ubi kayu 25%, dan daging ayam petelur afkir 60% dan tepung talas 25%. Variabel penelitian meliputi uji kualitas fisik (susut masak dan pH), uji organoleptik (warna, aroma, tekstur, kekenyalan, dan rasa), dan uji kimia (kadar air, protein, lemak, dan abu). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan bahan filler lokal tidak berpengaruh nyata ( p>0,05) terhadap susut masak, kadar air, lemak, tekstur, kekenyalan, dan rasa bakso akan tetapi berpengaruh nyata ( p<0,05)  terhadap pH bakso, kadar protein, abu dan warna bakso. Disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan terbaik didapat pada penambahan tepung sagu dan ubi kayu yang banyak disukai panelis.Kata kunci: Bakso Ayam, Filler Lokal, Kualitas Fisik, Organoleptik dan Kimi

    We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used

    This study aims to know the effect of (Piper betle L.) leaves extract addition in drinking water on carcass percentage and abdominal fat of broiler chicken. Experimental material was used to this study were eighty broiler chicken SR-707. Broiler chicken was divided into twenty pen with five treatments and four replications and each pen was filled with four broiler chickens. The treatments were P1 = drinking water without betel leaves extract, P2 = drinking water + 0,5% extract of betel leaves, P3 = drinking water + 1% extract of betel leaves, P4 drinking water + 1,5% betel leaves extract, and P5 = drinking water + 2% betel leaves extract. variables were final weight, carcass percentage and abdominal fat of 5 weeks broiler chicken. The data obtained was processed and analyzed using analysis variance and continued using F-test. The result showed that addition of betel leaves extract in drinking water did not give significant (P>0,05) effect on final weight, carcass percentage and abdominal fat of broiler chicken. The conclusion was using betel leaves extract untill 2% in broiler drinking water no decreased final weight, carcass percentage and abdominal fat of broiler chicken that was slaughtered at 5 weeks of old.Key words: Final Weight, Carcass percentage, abdominal fat, Piper betle L, BroilerABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efek dari penambahan ekstrak daun sirih (Piper betle L) dalam air minum terhadap bobot akhir persentase karkas dan lemak abdominal ayam broiler. Materi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 80 ekor ayam broiler strain SR-707 yang dipelihara selama 5 minggu. Ayam penelitian dibagi dalam 20 petak kandang dengan lima perlakuan dan empat pengulangan yang masing-masing petak diisi dengan 4 ekor ayam percobaan. Air minum perlakuan yang diberikan terdiri atas: P1= kontrol, P2 (Air minum + ekstrak daun sirih 0,5%), P3(Air minum + ekstrak daun sirih 1%), P4 (Air minum + ekstrak daun sirih 1,5%), P5 (Air minum + ekstrak daun sirih 2%). Parameter yang diamati adalah bobot akhir, persentase karkas, lemak abdominal ayam broiler umur 5 minggu. Data yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisis berdasarkan prosedur sidik ragam dan di uji dengan uji-F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak daun sirih dalam air minum berpengaruh tidak nyata (p>0,05) terhadap bobot akhir, persentase karkas dan lemak abdominal ayam brolier. Kesimpulan yang di peroleh dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan ekstrak daun sirih sampai pada level 2% dalam air minum tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot akhir, persentase karkas dan lemak abdominal ayam broiler yang dipotong pada umur lima minggu.Kata kunci: Bobot akhir, Persentase karkas, lemak abdominal, daun sirih, broiler
