Through the exposure of various stages of life and moments of encounters with Others, the author wants to confirm his argument on how culture is an arena of discourses that is continually constructed, in which also involves power relations between Self and Others. Using Abu Lughod’s approach and several contributions from philosophical thinking, the author would like to state that the theoretical journey and life trajectory is a continuity which shows the fundamental argument, that culture is an arena of contestation that is based on power relations between the self and the Other

No full textObjek yang menjadi target utama dalam peningkatan sistem pengelolaan keuangan terpadu yaitu kelompok petani dan nelayan serta masyarakat umum yang berada di Desa Kasia. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan pelaksanaan pengelolaan keuangan pada keluarga petani. Identifikasi masalah pada kegiatan ini adalah : (1) Sebagian besar peserta masih beranggapan bahwa kegiatan tersebut untuk memberikan bantuan modal (2) Partisipasi peserta dalam bertanya sangat kurang, sehingga sangat sulit untuk mengetahui dan mengukur apakah materi dapat diterima dengan baik oleh peserta (3) Masih banyak peserta yang tidak bisa berhitung (4) Masyarakat masih bingung dalam prosedur menabung di bank dan (5) Sebagian besar ibu rumah tanggga keluarga petani dan nelayan kurang aktif dalam berusaha karena menunggu modal yang diberikan dari pemerintah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka pemateri memberikan tips dalam melakukan pengelolaan keuangan keluarga petani antara lain cara mengelola keuangan yang terbatas, melakukan saving, memberikan nilai tambah terhadap hasil pertanian dan perikanan, mendahulukan kebutuhan daripada keinginan serta mengelola aset agar dapat optimal. Hasil yang dicapai pada kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat di Desa Kasia yaitu : (1) 90 persen peserta memahami materi yang disampaikan pemateri dengan baik (2) 70 persen peserta mampu mengaplikasikan, (3) 50 persen peserta mampu mengimplemntasikan secara berkelanjutan

No full textInitially the Tax Return (SPT) was submitted manually through the Tax Service Office, then along with developments in science and technology, the Directorate General of Taxes implemented an internet based tax service system namely, E-Form. This research aims to analyze the Effectiveness os Use E-Form In Order to Improve Corporate Taxpayer Compliance. The research method that the author uses in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using interviews, observation, documentation and triangulation. The effectiveness theory used uses the Beni, Pekei theory. The results of the study concluded that the use E-Form it is quite effective in increasing taxpayer compliance but is not optimal because there are still obstacles in human resource factors and technological factors in carrying out work. Which hinders the effectiveness of use E-Form is that there are still taxpayers who do not understand E-Form, occurs server down or failed impor csv file. Efforts made to overcome these obstacles include being persuasive and providing comprehensive outreach and education to taxpayers regarding E-Form so that they can carry out their rights and obligations in accordance with applicable regulations

No full textWith the current globalization, many foreign cultures enter Indonesia through many platforms that are easily accessible to various groups. Including the Korean Wave culture that is familiar and has spread among teenagers. This study aims to determine what the Korean Wave has caused to the sense of nationalism of Economics Education students at the University of Education Indonesia. How to counteract the negative impact on the sense of nationalism for Economics Education students at the University of Education Indonesia. The type of research used is a literacy study where the author will look for data by means of observation, and interviews. The object of this research is Economic Education students at the University of Education Indonesia. The positive impact is that it can make students more enthusiastic about learning, because korean wave is an entertainment media for students during breaks as a fatigue reliever. The negative impact is that it makes students lack a sense of nationalism towards the homeland, they look more at Korean culture than Indonesian culture
