Abalisys of indicators of tourism activity in Timis county

    No full text
Timis county, county with a high level of economical development, constitues a point of touristic atraction due to the natural and antropical resources of which it disposes. The economical development of the county constitutes a priority for the decisive factors at its level, in this direction evolving an economical development strategy which relies on a general political agenda drafted by the actual guvernamental institutions and whose focus are all the components of the national economy. In the current paper, we propose an analysis of the main index factors of the touristic activity of the county. This paper reflects upon imposing certain stimulatory and revigoratory measures on the touristic activity, for the touristic potential of the Timis county is not put to good use at a proper level

    Sustainable Building Design in Kenya

    No full text
Sustainable design strategies involve complex interactions among social, economic and environmental factors those should be analyzed and solved quite differently by heterogeneous disciplines and stakeholders involved. Focusing on the cities of developing countries in tropical regions, characterized by fast urban population growth and a staggering increase in the energy consumption for building sector, it emerges that appropriate active strategies and building energy optimizations are promptly recommended. For this purpose, in the present work, energy evaluations were carried out for the designing of a residential building in Nairobi, Kenya, considering different strategies and solutions, taking into account also the affordability and considering the possibility to push local based economies through the use of built-on-site materials. This strategy may lead to a significant cost reduction and energy saving due to lower construction costs and in addition also a lower embodied energy of the building materials. Furthermore, in a region understudy, characterized by unstable economic security, the employment of local labor forces may lead to the formation of local based economies

ETHNICAL IDENTITY AND THE [RESERVATION OF VALUES IN MULTIETHNIC COMMUNITIES (CASE STUDY: DUDESTII VECHI, TIMIS COUNTY)

This article is based on the data provided by an actualresearch carried out in 2013-2014 in a multiethnic community inthe Banat area, Timis County, namely in the village of Dudestii-Vechi (Old Dudesti). In this study, I have tried to find out fromthe inhabitants of the studied community what their perception oftheir own person is, but also of those who live with them. In thisrespect, I have developed and applied a psycho-sociologicalquestionnaire, highlighting these aspects. Thus, in DudeÅŸtiiVechi, the number of questionnaires applied was 590, and they wereapplied to the following groups of people

GEOMETRIC THEOREMS, DIOPHANTINE EQUATIONS, AND ARITHMETIC FUNCTIONS

    No full text
This book contains short notes or articles, as well as studies on several topics of Geometry and Number theory. The material is divided into ve chapters: Geometric theorems; Diophantine equations; Arithmetic functions; Divisibility properties of numbers and functions; and Some irrationality results. Chapter 1 deals essentially with geometric inequalities for the remarkable elements of triangles or tetrahedrons. Other themes have an arithmetic character (as 9-12) on number theoretic problems in Geometry. Chapter 2 includes various diophantine equations, some of which are treatable by elementary methods; others are partial solutions of certain unsolved problems. An important method is based on the famous Euler-Bell-Kalmar lemma, with many applications. Article 20 maynbsp;be considered also as an introduction to Chapter 3 on Arithmetic functions. Here manynbsp;papers study the famous Smarandache function, the source of inspiration of so manynbsp;mathematicians or scientists working in other elds. The author has discovered variousnbsp;generalizations, extensions, or analogues functions./p

Identification of quercitin and rutin from propolis ethanolic extract (EEP) of Timis county

    No full text
In this paper were studied the possibilities of some flavonoides (quercetin and rutin) identification from the propolis ethanolic extract (EEP), depending on the harvesting region from the west of Romania (Timis county), the obtained results were compared to those obtained for similar products in literature (Hungary, Czechia, China, Slovenia). Representative samples were collected from three different regions of Timis county (Lugoj 1, Lugoj 2 and Faget). The identification of quercitin and rutin from propolis ethanolic extracts (EEP) was realized with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). For separation and quantification the ethanolic extracts of propolis (EEP), I used the high performance liquid chromatography. Quantification was performed on the basis of the calibration curve obtained for pure quercitine. I used the HPLC Hewelett Packard apparatus Agilent 1100 type with UV detection, with the following characteristics: column: Nucleosil C18; 5µm dimension for stationary phase particles; column dimension: 150 x 4,6mm x mm; eluent acetonytrile:water = 1:1, eluent flow: 1 mL/min; wave length: 365 nm; temperature 30°C; injected volume: μL

Stability of tripled fixed point iteration procedures for mixed monotone mappings

    No full text
Recently, Berinde and Borcut [Berinde, V. and Borcut, M., Tripled fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011), 4889-4897] introduced the concept of tripled fixed point and by now, there are several researches on this subject, in partially metric spaces and in cone metric spaces.  In this paper, we introduce the notion of stability definition of tripled fixed point iteration procedures and establish stability results for mixed monotone mappings which satisfy various contractive conditions. Our results extend and complete some existing results in the literature. An illustrative example is also given

What Means External Prestressing for an Old Gerber Structure

AbstractThe bridge over the Timis River in Albina, assures the connection between the city of Timisoara and Lugoj through the city of Buzias, facilitating the access to the county capital for the inhabitants of this area. Due to the important economical development of this region, DJ 592 represents an artery with a special role for maintaining the social-economical connections in this part of the Timis county, but also a viable alternative for the DN 6 route linking Timisoara to Lugoj. In order to provide normal traffic conditions on the bridge, works have been designed to increase the loading class to E level (trucks A30 and special vehicles V80), under 2 lane gauge conditions. This aim modified the static schema of the bridge from a Gerber structure in a longitudinal and vertical prestressed continuous beam. The gauge was obtained by realizing a reinforced concrete slab, over the existing one (overlay)
