Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Pengaruh Budaya Kaizen dan Disiplin Kerja Terhap Kinerja Karyawan di PT Tokki Engineering and Fabrication
No full textAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, menganalisis dan menjelaskan bagaimana pengaruh budaya kaizen dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Toki Engineering and Fabrication. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 110 responden dari 155 populasi karyawan dengan menggunakan metode Simple Random Sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik Analisis Rentang Skala dan Analisis Jalur dengan bantuan Method of Succesive Interval (MSI), uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t dan uji F, program komputer Microsoft Excel 2013 dan SPSS versi 16. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh parsial budaya kaizen terhadap kinerja karyawan secara signifikan sebesar 26,3%. Terdapat pengaruh parsial disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan secara signifikan sebesar 67,8%. Kemudian adanya pengaruh simultan budaya kaizen dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Tokki Engineering and Fabrication secara positif dan signifikan sebesar 82,8% sedangkan sisanya 17,2% merupakan pengaruh dari variabel lain yang tidak diteliti.Kata Kunci: Budaya Kaizen; Disiplin Kerja; Kinerja Karyawan. AbstractThis study aims to determine, analyze and explain how the influence of kaizen culture and work discipline on employee performance at PT Toki Engineering and Fabrication. This research was conducted using descriptive and verification methods with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 110 respondents from 155 population of employees using the Simple Random Sampling method. The data analysis technique used is the technique of Scale Range Analysis and Path Analysis with the help of the Method of Succesive Interval (MSI), hypothesis testing using t test and F test, Microsoft Excel 2013 computer program and SPSS version 16. The results of this study reveal that there is an influence partial kaizen culture on employee performance significantly by 26.3%. There is a partial effect of work discipline on employee performance significantly by 67.8%. Then there is a simultaneous influence of kaizen culture and work discipline on employee performance at PT Tokki Engineering and Fabrication positively and significantly by 82.8% while the remaining 17.2% is the influence of other variables not examined.Keywords: Kaizen Culture; Work Discipline; Employee Performanc
Literature Study: The Influence Of Educational Background And Work Experience On Employee Performance
Full text linkThis study aims to determine the effect of work experience on employee performance based on a literature review. Analyze the combined effect of educational background and work experience on employee performance. Identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the relationship between education, work experience, and employee performance. Provide a conceptual overview and recommendations regarding the equivalence of education and work experience in improving employee performance. The research method used is a library study, where researchers review previous research and then draw conclusions from the results. This study was conducted by reanalyzing previous research relevant to the research objectives and developing a deeper understanding. Based on the results of the reanalysis of three previous studies, this study shows that educational background and work experience have a significant influence on employee performance. A higher level of education positively contributes to improved cognitive abilities, technical skills, and understanding of job duties and responsibilities. This results in increased efficiency, work quality, and problem-solving abilities in the workplace.Furthermore, work experience has also been shown to have a positive relationship with employee performance. Employees with longer tenure tend to have a better understanding of systems, organizational culture, and applicable work procedures. This experience allows them to work more effectively, reduce errors, and adapt more quickly to changes or challenges in the workplace. Simultaneously, the combination of a good level of education and adequate work experience forms stronger work competencies, which ultimately contributes to increased productivity and overall performance quality. These results are in line with previous research findings which confirm that human resources with a higher educational background and extensive work experience are important assets for organizations in achieving goals and competitive advantages

This study aims to determine, explain, and analyze the effect of store atmosphere and service quality on decisions to care for beauty at Farina Beauty Clinic Karawang. This type of research is qualitative with 100 respondents who are determined by descriptive and verification methods. Data collection techniques are questionnaires and surveys. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis, data transformation, verification analysis, and path analysis. The results showed that the variable store atmosphere and service quality had a positive and significant effect both partially and simultaneously on the decision to care for beauty at Farina Beauty Clinic. Based on the coefficient of determination, the decision to care for beauty gave a contribution of 0.479 or 47.9% to the variable store atmosphere and service quality. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested to Farina Beauty Clinic to expand the existing parking area and handle consumers swiftly again, so that consumers continue to make repeat purchases at Farina Beauty Clinic.Keywords: Store Atmosphere, Service Quality, Beauty Care Decisions

Tidak terkecuali industri perfilman dunia yang membuat masyarakat mencari alternatif hiburan yaitu dengan menonton film atau serial melalui layanan streaming yang mudah untuk diakses. Platform layanan streaming video mendunia adalah Netflix. Konsumen dapat membeli paket langganan untuk menikmati fasilitas video yang disediakan Harga berlangganan Netflix relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan perusahaan jasa sejenis. Netflix mengalami penurunan jumlah pelanggan yang disebabkan oleh harga paket langganan yang dirasa sangat memberatkan konsumen. Namun Netflix tetap menjadi layanan streaming video paling populer di dunia. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi literatur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga dengan minat konsumen berlangganan Netflix dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang dapat memengaruhi minat konsumen dalam berlangganan Netflix. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa harga memiliki pengaruh dengan minat konsumen dalam berlangganan Netflix Pasca Pandemi selain itu ada lima faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi minat konsumen dalam berlangganan netflix yaitu, perbedaan pekerjaan, perbedaan sosial ekonomi, perbedaan hobi dan kegemaran, perbedaan jenis kelamin dan perbedaan usia yang perlu untuk dipenuhi
The Influence of Debt To Equity Ratio and Earning Per Share on Share Prices in Coal Mining Sub-Sector Companies Listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2020-2023
Full text linkAvailability of funds is a component that supports industrial sustainability. Industry can obtain funds easily by offering shares to the public through the capital market. This condition will directly influence activities in the capital market, which in turn influences the amount of demand and supply on the stock exchange and has an impact on share price fluctuations. Low share prices can motivate investors to buy more shares. The average share price in the mining subsector from 2020 to 2021 experienced a significant increase, from 2022 to 2023 there was a significant decrease due to negative sentiment for the coal subsector, where Indonesia's largest coal consumer, one of which is China, reduced demand for Coal exports and Europe reduce demand for coal. The aim of this research is to find out and analyze the influence of the Debt to Equity Ratio on stock prices, to find out Earning Per Share on stock prices, and to find out jointly the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio and Earnings Per Share to share price. The population in this study are coal mining sub-sector companies listed on the IDX. This research uses a quantitative approach with sample determination, namely purposive sampling and obtained 10 companies as research samples over a 4 year period, namely 2020-2023, thus using 40 financial reports. The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis with partial and simultaneous hypothesis testing using SPSS as data processing. The research results simultaneously state that DER and EPS have an effect on stock prices. Partially, DER has no effect on share prices. EPS influences share prices
