    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    This study aims to describe the improvement of Civics learning outcomes by using the concept map method in fourth grade students of SDN Pangkatrejo I, Sugio District, Lamongan Regency. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were fourth grade students, amounting to 18 students. The method of data collection in this study used tests, observation and documentation. The research instrument was in the form of tests and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative. Student learning outcomes from the cycle of student achievement are still low because under the KKM the class average reaches a value of 64.4. In the first cycle after applying Civics learning using media Picture Concept Maps showed PKn learning outcomes from the average class increased to 75.0 had reached KKM but learning completeness was still 72.2% had not reached 75% then proceed to cycle II. In the second cycle the class average reached a value of 82.8. Student mastery learning has also been completed with the percentage of completeness 88.9% exceeding the minimum completeness criteria which is 75%

    Masalah dalam penelitian ini, hasil belajar masih rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pre-eksperimen dan dengan bentuk atau model One Shot Case Study. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi Augmented Reality terhap hasil beljar pesrta didik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Karangrayung kelas XII MIPA 1 Semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil penilaian harian. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pengaruh aplikasi pada persentasi ketuntasan belajar kompetensi induksi elektromagnetik sebesar 22,85 %, yaitu ketuntasan belajar sebelum perlakuan 74,29 % menjadi 97,14 % setelah perlakuan menggunakan aplikasi Augmented Realit

    Career guidance instructional is an intracuricular activity that must be taken by every student of a guidance and counseling study program. This course is one of the subjects to form student mastery competencies on the basic concepts, theories and application of guidance and counseling services. This study aims to examine the significance of career guidance instructional using image-based PowerPoint media to improve students academic performance, which is carried out using a quasi-experimental method. The population of this research is 300 students of guidance and counseling study program at University of PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. The research sample was taken using class lottery techniques, obtained 33 students as the experimental group and 23 students as the control group. Students academic performance data were collected by using multiple choice test forms developed by researchers through content validity procedures, which were analyzed using the SPSS t test of parametric statistic techniques of program for Windows version 23.0. The results of data analysis obtained t value of .312 at a significant level of .756 which means not significant. The conclusion of this research is that career guidance instructional using image-based PowerPoint media significantly cannot improve students academic performance.     This paper discusses the highly controversial issues in the northern part of Surabaya; an issue that has attracted the attention of both parents and teachers alike, the issue of High School students’ attachment to the values of Islam. Many worried that given their attitude, these students have no concern whatsoever with the basic principles of Islam. This paper will show the otherwise by investigating carefully the notion of career choice among these students. This specific field of investigation has not received proportional attention from any field researcher apart from its significance both to the state of our education and moral conduct. The paper first argues that the attitude of these students is more complicated than many have assumed. It then tries to show that religious values are in fact the strongest determinants in students making their career choice. This theory comes as a serious challenge to many baseless assumptions that as a religion Islam has lost its influence over its younger followers. This research is done in different areas in the northern part of Surabaya. The questionnaires are distributed at random representing each area proportionally.     Penerangan jalan merupakan salah satu penunjang sarana transportasi yang cukup penting. Salah satu jalur perekonomian alternatif di desa Plana Somagede adalah keberadaan jembatan gantung yang menghubungkan desa Plana dengan desa Pelumutan Kecamatan Kemangkon Kabupaten Purbalingga. Aktivitas di jalur ini tidak hanya pada siang hari namun sampai waktu malam hari. Jalur ini belum dilengkapi penerangan jalan karena tidak terlewati jalur listrik PLN. Penerangan jalan sangat dibutuhkan agar masyarakat merasa nyaman dan aman. Solusi yang ditawarkan oleh tim PKM adalah pemasangan penerangan jalan berbasis listrik tenaga surya (PLTS). Listrik tenaga surya merupakan teknologi pembangkitan listrik yang tidak membutuhkan biaya operasional. Teknologi PLTS merupakan pemanfaatan energi baru dan terbarukan sebagai pembangkit listrik alternatif. Penggunaan PLTS sangat aman dan ramah terhadap lingkungan. Penerangan di jembatan gantung berhasil terpasang sebanyak 5 titik, sehingga sangat membantu masyarakat yang melakukan aktivitas di malam hari. Sosialisasi terkait dengan PLTS, instalasi dan perawatan dilakukan melalui pembagian makalah kepada sebagian warga masyarakat. Therefore, it is found urgent learning science and technology on education Islamic perspective that reflects tawheed values or gratitude to God, or motivating people to be be thankful to God. It is the learning science and technology that do not exploit, instead cultivating, making use this nature for human walfare in order to develop the realization to God power on His all creatures. This learning science and technology “model” should be the centre of learning in madrasah (boarding school), so the expected competence students internalized is not only the mastery of knowledge (cognitive) but also gratitude to God (affective and psychomotor)

    This article aims to examine the history and origins, the process of implementation and the symbolic meaning contained in the Siraman Gong Kyai Pradah Ceremony. The method used in the preparation of this article is the literature review method. The sources used are books, articles, journals, theses, and other relevant sources. The Gong Kyai Pradah ceremony is a tradition and local wisdom that is owned by the people of Sutojayan District, Blitar Regency. This tradition is held routinely from generation to generation, on every 12th of Rabiul Awal and 1st Shawwal of the hijriyah calendar which is in Alun-Alun Kawedanan Lodoyo. This ceremony is intended as an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT and respect for the Prophet Muhammad. Besides that, it is also a means of praying and conveying hope regarding safety, welfare, security, health and harmony. This tradition has become a tourism potential and a magnet that can attract tourists. The Gong Kyai Pradah ceremony is transformed into an identity attached to Sutojayan District and Blitar Regency. In the future, this ceremony must be continuously carried out and preserved not eroded by the times. Apart from that, with preservation, future generations will also be able to witness a tradition and local wisdom that is inherent and ingrained in existence and is carried out. Artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengkaji sejarah dan asal usul, proses pelaksanaan dan makna simbolik yang ada dalam Upacara Siraman Gong Kyai Pradah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyusunan artikel ini adalah metode kajian pustaka. Sumber yang digunakan adalah buku-buku, artikel, jurnal, skripsi, dan sumber lain yang relevan. Upacara Gong Kyai Pradah merupakan sebuah tradisi dan kearifan lokal yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Kecamatan Sutojayan, Kabupaten Blitar. Tradisi ini digelar secara rutin secara turun-temurun, pada setiap tanggal 12 Rabiul Awal dan 1 Syawal penanggalan hijriyah yang dipusatkan di Alun-Alun Kawedanan Lodoyo. Upacara ini ditujukan sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur kepada Allah SWT dan penghormatan kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW. Selain itu juga menjadi sarana untuk berdoa dan menyampaikan harapan mengenai keselamatan, kesejahteraan, keamanan, kesehatan, dan kerukunan. Tradisi ini menjadi sebuah potensi wisata dan magnet yang mampu menarik wisatawan. Upacara siraman Gong Kyai Pradah ini bertransformasi menjadi identitas yang melekat pada Kecamatan Sutojayan dan Kabupaten Blitar. Di masa yang akan datang, upacara ini harus terus dilaksanakan dan dijaga kelestariannya agar tidak tergerus oleh perkembangan zaman. Selain itu dengan adanya pelestarian, generasi penerus di masa depan juga dapat menyaksikan sebuah tradisi dan kearifan lokal yang sudah melekat dan mendarah daging ini tetap ada dan dilaksanakan.

    Pembuatan dan Pengenalan Alat Peraga IPA di MTs Al-Ikhsan Beji Purwokerto

    Pembuatan alat peraga dapat digunakan untuk membantu proses belajar mengajar. Alat peraga optik dan kelistrikan sudah berhasil dibuat dan dikenalkan di MTs Al-Ikhsan Beji Purwokerto. Alat peraga optik digunakan untuk membantu menjelaskan materi yang berhubungan dengan sifat pemantulan dan pembiasan cahaya. Alat peraga kelistrikan digunakan untuk membantu menjelaskan hukum Ohm, rangkaian seri dan rangkaian paralel. Pengenalan alat peraga optik dilakukan terhadap 42 siswa dan seorang guru IPA. Pemantauan respon siswa terhadap penggunaan alat peraga dilakukan menggunakan kuisioner. Respon siswa 99% menyatakan alat peraga membantu pemahaman siswa, 75% siswa menyatakan alat peraga relevan dengan materi pembelajaran,  94% siswa menyatakan alat peraga dapat meningkatkan minat belajar, 98% menyatakan dapat memicu kreativitas dan 88% siswa menyatakan perlu pembuatan alat peraga yang lain.Demonstrating apparatus serves as a tool to help learning process. Demonstrating apparatus relating to optics and electricity has been made and introduced to at MTs Al-Ikhsan Beji Purwokerto. The demonstrating apparatus for optics was used to explain the nature of reflection and refraction of light. The demonstrating apparatus for electricity was used to help in explaining Ohm’s law, series and parallel circuits. The demonstration was conducted in front of 42 students and their science teacher. Responses of students were measured using questionnaires.  The measurement says that 99% of the students think that demonstrating apparatus helps comprehension, 75% of them stated that the demonstrating apparatus is relevant to the learning subject, 94% of them said that demonstrating apparatus can motivate interest in learning, 98% of them stated that it can provoke creativity and 88% of the students felt that it is necessary to make other demonstrating apparatus
