    Adiabatic quantum pumping through surface states in 3D topological insulators

    We investigate adiabatic quantum pumping of ballistic Dirac fermions on the surface of a strong three-dimensional topological insulator. Two different geometries are studied in detail, a normal metal–ferromagnetic–normal metal (NFN) junction and a ferromagnetic–normal metal–ferromagnetic (FNF) junction. Using a scattering matrix approach, we show that each time a new resonant mode appears in the transport window the pumped current exhibits a maximum and provide a detailed analysis of the position of these maxima. We also predict a characteristic difference between the pumped current in NFN- and FNF-junctions: whereas the former vanishes for carriers at normal incidence, the latter is finite due to the different nature of wavefunction interference in the junctions.     Induksi Resistensi Tanaman Krisan Terhadap Puccinia Horiana P. Henn. Dengan Menggunakan Ekstrak Tanaman Elisitor

    Karat putih yang disebabkan oleh Puccinia horiana P. Henn merupakan penyakit yang paling penting pada tanaman krisan (Dendrathema grandiflora Tzvelev.). Serangan pada tanaman ini dapat menurunkan nilai komersial bunga hingga 100%. Induksi resistensi merupakan salah satu strategi untuk mengendalikan penyakit ini. Beberapa jenis tanaman elisitor, terbukti efektif meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman terhadap serangan beberapa patogen. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah memperoleh minimal 2 (dua) spesies ekstrak tanaman yang efektif untuk menginduksi ketahanan tanaman krisan terhadap P. horiana, dan mendapatkan informasi kandungan asam salisilat pada tanaman krisan yang telah terinduksi oleh tanaman elisitor. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua tahapan, yaitu di laboratorium dan rumah kaca Balai Penelitian Tanaman Hias yang dilakukan pada Januari hingga Desember 2013. Tujuh tanaman elisitor yang duji ialah : daun tanaman Ivy (Hedera helix), batang tanaman wilow (Salix sp.), daun bunga pukul empat (M. jalapa), daun Phytholacca americana (anti viral), daun Kucubung (Datura suaveolens), daun pagoda (Clerodendron sp.), dan daun Laja (Alpinia galanga) yang masing-masing diencerkan 50% (100 g bagian bahan tananam digerus menggunakan mortal sampai halus, kemudian ditambah 100 ml bagian 0,01 M fosfat buffer pH 7,0). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak batang Salix sp., dan daun C. japonicum efektif menginduksi ketahanan tanaman krisan terhadap P. horiana dengan persentase penekanan masing-masing mencapai 80,20 dan 75,46%. Kandungan asam salisilat pada tanaman krisan yang terinduksi efektif oleh tanaman elisitor pada krisan, masing-masing bervariasi antara 1853,93 - 3767,55 ppm

    EnglishThe experts have no the same perception regarding the term of “institution”. This leads to unworkable definitions and concepts. This paper reviews the existing thoughts, especially those related with the term of “organization”, and simplifies them to formulate an easier concept which enables scientists and practitioners to work with. Different meanings exist due to different points of views of the experts, especially in early stage of sociology development. Sine 1950’s, social institution and social organization have been distinguished strictly. The author proposes a solution, i.e., the term of “institution” to mention the social system in which it is classified into two important components, namely “institutional aspect” and “organizational aspect”. Through this differentiation, it is expected that the analysis becomes more detailed, signifies the strong and weak aspects, and enables to choose the strategy of developing it.IndonesianIstilah “kelembagaan” belum memperoleh kesamaan pengertian di kalangan para ahli. Hal ini menyebabkan munculnya beberapa pengertian dan konsep yang menyebabkan tidak dapat dioperasionalkan. Tulisan ini berusaha melakukan tinjauan (review) seluruh pemikiran yang berkembang, terutama kaitannya dengan istilah “organisasi”, untuk kemudian merumuskan satu konsep yang lebih mudah sehingga dapat dipergunakan baik untuk kalangan ilmuwan maupun praktisi. Ketidaksamaan pemaknaan terjadi karena setiap ahli memiliki titik pandang yang berbeda dalam membahasnya, terutama pda masa-masa awal perkembangan sosiologi. Namun, semenjak era 1950-an, sesungguhnya sudah terlihat adanya pembedaan yang tegas antara kelembagaan (social institution) dan organisasi (social organization). Sebagai solusinya, penulis menggunakan istilah “kelembagaan” untuk menyebut suatu sistem sosial dimaksud, yang didalamnya dapat dibagi menjadi dua komponen penting, yaitu “aspek kelembagaan” dan “aspek keorganisasian”. Dengan membedakan seperti ini, maka analisa dapat lebih mendalam, dapat diketahui aspek apa yang kuat dan lemah, serta dapat memilih strategi untuk pengembangannya

    This study is to review the facts in the health care field, where WHO has agreed to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in 2014. UHC is a health system that ensures every citizen in the population has fair access to a qualified promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health care at reasonable costs. Universal coverage contains two core elements namely equitable access to qualified health services for every citizen, and the protection of financial risks when people use health services. Indonesia is currently in transition towards UHC. Law No. 40 Year 2004 about National Social Security System (UU SJSN)' has answered the basic principles of UHC by requiring every citizen to have access to comprehensive health services that are needed through pre-effort system. Then, the author will formulate solutions to these problems which can be seen as a recommendation for the implementation of health care development. Problem solving methods used in formulating solutions to problems are policy analysis using William Dunn and Abidin's theory, and the Fishbone Diagram. Based on the analysis, the author advises the need to arrange a formulation that meets the demands of integration of Jamkesda into JKN. Formulation of policies which have been directed towards the centralization of health financing through JKN program must be balanced by providing a flexible space for local governments to participate in decision making processes dynamically. This formulation is called Centralized Dynamic Integration policy formulation.Â

    Writing a diary with colorful propeller mind mapping method is an innovative method to enhance the 7th grade hearing impaired students' capabilities and skills of writing in Karya Mulia Special Secondary School for Students with Disabilities (SMPLB) Surabaya. This innovative effort was based on the constraints or obstacles to teach hearing impaired students in developing the abilities and skills of writing a diary that were still far below the average of minimum completion criteria (KKM). To find out the extent of this innovative method's implementation's impact, the author wanted to do a class action research (PTK) that includes 3 cycles where two-time meetings were conducted in each cycle. The research was started from the pre action activities continued to a cycle-1, cycle-2, to cycle-3. The result indicates that there has been improvements in 7th grade student's learning outcome in writing a diary through mind mapping mehod using learn to write diary through colorful propeller mapping method AsbtrakMenulis buku harian melalui metode pemetaan pikiran (mind mapping) dengan menggunakan Baling-Baling berwarna merupakan metode inovatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan menulis buku harian siswa tuna rungu kelas VII SMPLB Karya Mulia Surabaya. Upaya inovatif ini beranjak dari kendala/hambatan sebelumnya dalam membelajarkan siswa tuna rungu mengembangkan kemampuan dan keterampilan menulis Buku Harian yang hasilnya berada jauh di bawah rata-rata Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Untuk mengetahui sejauh mana dampak dari penerapan metode inovatif ini, penulis melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mencakup 3 siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Penelitian dimulai dari kegiatan pra tindakan, dilanjutkan dengan siklus-1, siklus-2, sampai dengan siklus-3.     THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ICT UTILIZATION ON COGNITIVE ACHIEVEMENT IN THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION DURING THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK IN INDONESIA

    In the current Covid-19 transition period, it is very necessary to use innovative vocational learning models in digital models. The number of vocational learning models using ICT as the main tool during the pandemic needs to be studied further on how the model is implemented and its effectiveness. The problem that arises is that we do not know whether the use of ICT tools in vocational learning is effectively used. This study aims to empirically verify the effectiveness of ICT in vocational education learning during the Covid-19 transition period. Meta-Analysis is used as a method to conduct this research. There are 30 latest articles reviewed during the year of 2020 to 2021. All articles are classified based on the author, year of publication, the ICT device or application used, and the results of the post-test experimental and control classes. The results are obtained after the calculation using the effect size (ES) formula. The calculation results show that the learning using ICT as a tool during the Covid-19 pandemic has a high effect (1.28) on cognitive achievement in vocational education. The conclusion of this study is that ICT-assisted learning has a high level of effectiveness and is suitable for learning in the vocational field. Then, the dominant multimedia device or application used in the vocational learning in Indonesia is the computer technology network and it is the most widely used for the application of ICT in learning

    Kemangkusan Kandidat Biofungisida Berbahan Aktif Bakteri Antagonis terhadap Fusarium oxysporum pada Phalaenopsis (Effectiveness of Biofungicide Candidate with Bacteria Active Ingredient Againts Fusarium oxysporum on Phalaenopsis)

    Layu fusarium yang disebabkan oleh Fusarium oxysporum pada tanaman anggrek dapat menimbulkan kerusakan tanaman hingga mencapai 40%. Bakteri antagonis B 37 dan B 26 hasil isolasi dari tanaman anggrek efektif mengendalikan penyakit layu fusarium pada tanaman anggrek masing-masing sebesar 65,3 dan 48,9%. Isolat bakteri tersebut belum diidentifikasi, diuji kompatibilitasnya, dan diaplikasikan masih dalam bentuk biakan murni. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah: (a) mengidentifikasi secara biokimia isolat bakteri B 26 dan B 37, (b) mendapatkan formulasi bahan pembawa organik yang kompatibel dengan isolat bakteri B 26 dan atau B 37, serta (c) mengendalikan F. oxysporum pada tanaman anggrek Phalaenopsis dengan menggunakan kedua bakteri tersebut yang sudah dikemas dalam bahan pembawa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) hasil identifikasi secara biokimia bakteri B 26 dan B 37 ialah Bacillus spp., (b) semua bahan aktif calon biopestisida (Bacillus spp. B 26 dan B 37) kompatibel terhadap bahan pembawa dari bahan alami yang mengandung karbohidrat dan protein minimal, tetapi kurang kompatibel pada media pembawa dari bahan alami yang mengandung karbohidrat dan protein optimal serta air steril, dan (c) perlakuan Bacillus spp. B26 atau B 37 dalam media pembawa yang mengandung karbohidrat dan protein minimal atau disuspensikan dalam air (disuspensikan dalam air setiap akan dilakukan perlakuan) yang diaplikasikan dengan merendam benih selama 1 jam yang kemudian diikuti dengan penyemprotan tanaman setiap 7 hari, efektif mengendalikan penyakit layu fusarium pada anggrek Phalaenopsis.KeywordsPhalaenopsis; Fusarium oxysporum; Identifikasi; Kemangkusan; BiopestisidaAbstractFusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum on orchid plants caused damage plants up to 40%. The isolates has not been yet identified, tested for compatibility and are applied in the form of a pure culture. Purposes of the study were (a) identify bacteria isolates of B 26 and B37 biochemically, (b) obtain isolates of Bacillus spp. B 26 and or B 37 are compatible with the organic carrier, and (c) controlling of F. oxysporum on Phalaenopsis orchid plant by using both the bacteria that have been packaged in a carrier. The results showed that (a) results of biochemical identification, biopesticide active ingredient B 26 and B 37 concluded as bacteria of Bacillus spp., (b) all biopesticides active ingredient (Bacillus spp. B 26 and B 37) are compatible to the carrier material that contains carbohydrates and protein minimum, but not in carrier contains carbohydrates and protein optimum, as well in sterile water, and (c) the treatments of Bacillus spp. B 26 or B 37 were suspended in carrier of natural ingredients that contains carbohydrates and protein minimum or in sterile water (suspended in the water each will be treated) were applied by means of dipping of seedling for 1 hour and followed by spray on plants every 7 days, consistently suppress fusarium wilt on Phalaenopsis orchids

    Isolasi dan Identifikasi Mikoparasit Utama pada Karat Krisan (Isolation and Identification of Major Mycoparasite on Chrysanthemum Rust)

    Pada beberapa jenis cendawan karat dilaporkan terdapat mikoparasit dan salah satu di antaranya adalah Cladosporium sp. Mikoparasit yang ditemukan di Kebun Percobaan Segunung Balai Penelitian Tanaman Hias (Balithi), dapat menekan penyakit karat pada krisan sampai dengan 100%. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mempelajari karakter morfologi dan molekuler cendawan mikoparasit yang terdapat pada pustul karat krisan asal Kebun Percobaan Balithi. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Penyakit Balithi Segunung dan Laboratorium Biologi Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) Cibinong pada Januari sampai dengan Desember 2012. Identifikasi secara morfologi dilakukan dengan melihat ciri makroskopis dan mikroskopis cendawan. Identifikasi secara molekuler dilakukan berdasarkan analisis pada sekuen internal transcribed spacer (ITS) ribosomal DNA. Amplifikasi PCR pada ITS menggunakan primer ITS 4: 5`-- TCC TCC GCT TAT TGA TAT GC – 3` dan ITS 5: 5`--GGA AGT AAA AGT CGT AAC AAG G –3`. Hasil pengamatan makroskopik dan mikroskopik menunjukkan bahwa isolat 567 yang menginfeksi karat putih pada krisan asal Segunung termasuk ke dalam genus Cladosporium. Hasil analisis secara molekuler, Cladosporium memiliki homologi 100% dengan Cladosporium cladosporioides strain 1-09 (aksesi no: JF502459) yang berada di genbank.KeywordsCladosporium; Karat putih; Mikoparasit; Identifikasi; MorfologiAbstractSeveral rust species reported associate with mycoparasite and one of them is Cladosporium sp. Mycoparasite was found at Segunung Experimental Station of Ornamental Crops Research Institute (IOCRI), suppressed the rust up to 100%. The study was conducted at the Mycology Laboratory of IOCRI and Indonesian Institute of Sciences (IIS) Cibinong from January to December 2012. The aims of the research was to identify and study morphology and molecular characters of mycoparasite on chrysanthemum rust pustules from IOCRI. Morphological identification was observed by the macroscopic and mycroscopic characteristics. Molecular identification based on partially genetic analyzes on internal transcribed spacer (ITS) of the ribosomal DNA of the fungus. PCR amplification of the ITS using ITS Primary 4: 5`-- TCC TCC GCT TAT TGA TAT GC - 3` and ITS Primary 5: 5` - AAA AGT AGT CGT GGA AAC AAG G -3`. Observation of morphology showed that mycoparasite isolate 567 infected chrysanthemum white rust is belonging to Cladosporium genus. The results of molecular analysis showed that Cladosporium sp. has 100% homology with Cladosporium cladosporioides strain 1-09 (accession no: JF502459) from genbanks
