The letter hamzah: highlights of origin and background
Full text linkHamzah is a difficult letter in pronunciation compared to other letters because its point of articulation (makhraj) is located at the bottom part of the throat, the farthest compared to other points. Therefore, the symbol of hamzah also has a diverse background based on the hamzah letter identity, which has a concession (rukhsah) in the expression due to the difficulty of pronouncing it. The problem has caused confusion among the community to understand the scope of hamzah symbols found in the mushaf because the Muslim community, especially in Malaysia, is bound by the narration of Hafs bin Sulayman al-Kufi that does not reveal the change of the letter hamzah based on its identity. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to reveal the correct understanding of the scope of hamzah letters involving symbols, colours and vowel marks (lines or harakat) based on the history recorded by qurra’. This descriptive study discusses the views of qurra’ related to the letter hamzah, specifically involving symbols, colours and vowel marks (lines or harakat). All data were analysed using inductive and conductive methods. The findings show that the letter hamzah has a diverse background referring to its symbols, colours and vowel marks (lines or harakat). All these backgrounds cannot be realised within the community when they are still bound by the narration of Hafs bin Sulayman al-Kufi. If this understanding is not explained in detail to the public, it is worried that the community will be confused about the identity of the letter hamzah that is subject to various changes in all aspects, whether involving symbols in the mushaf or the variety of pronunciation based on ahruf al-Sab’ah. This study can also be an added value for teachers of the Quran in understanding the scope of the letter hamzah as one of the letters in the hija’iyyah letters
The Politicization of Heresy: Foucault's Analysis of the Hamzah Fansuri and Nuruddin Ar-Raniry Debate
Full text linkThis article delves into the historical debates between two prominent figures, Hamzah Fansuri, and Nuruddin Arraniry, in the context of Islamic civilization in Aceh. While existing literature recognizes this significant event as the genesis of enduring Islamic thought in Aceh, a crucial aspect remains underexplored - the analysis through the lens of power/knowledge theory by Michel Foucault. Consequently, this article aims to fill this scholarly gap by employing a political knowledge approach to reexamine the conflict between these two intellectuals. By focusing on the motives of power in Nuruddin Arraniry's accusations of heresy against Hamzah Fansuri and considering the prevailing political landscape, the article argues that the charges were primarily driven by a quest for influence within the Aceh sultanate. This perspective leads to the conclusion that the knowledge conflict between Hamzah Fansuri and Nuruddin Arraniry stemmed from the underlying tension between Sufism and fiqh, calling for a reevaluation of their ideological divergence

Full text linkSkripsi ini membahas tentang tata bahasa Arab, khususnya mengenai penulisan hamzah dan metode pengajarannya dari sudut pandang metodologis. Penelitian ini merumuskan tiga masalah utama: (1) definisi hamzah dan klasifikasinya, (2) aturan penulisan hamzah, dan (3) metode pengajaran penulisan hamzah. Hamzah adalah huruf vokal pertama dalam abjad hijaiyyah, yang ditulis sebagai "alif" atau kadang "ya", dan terbagi menjadi beberapa jenis seperti hamzah asli, hamzah istifham, hamzah nida', hamzah wasl, dan hamzah qat'. Aturan penulisan hamzah berbeda tergantung pada posisinya dalam kata serta harakat huruf sebelumnya. Metode pengajaran yang dianjurkan untuk pemula adalah metode induktif, yang mendorong siswa berpikir kritis dan berpartisipasi aktif. Dr. Hamzah Ahmad berjaya membangunkan sebuah Kenderaan Kawalan Automatik (AGV) kos rendah yang berpotensi besar merevolusikan sektor perindustrian negara.
Penyelidikan itu turut dibantu oleh pensyarah FTKEE, Profesor Madya Ts. Dr. Mohd Razali Daud, dan Ts. No full textKemahiran menulis merupakan antara kemahiran terpenting selain kemahiran mendengar, bertutur
dan membaca. Kemahiran ini perlu dititikberatkan oleh pelajar agar mereka dapat menguasai
penulisan bahasa Arab dengan baik terutamanya dalam penulisan hamzah alwasl dan hamzah
alqat’. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini bertujuan mengkaji penggunaan hamzah alwasl dan hamzah
alqat’ dalam kalangan pelajar. Seramai 70 orang pelajar dalam bidang bahasa Arab di salah sebuah
universiti pantai timur, Malaysia telah dipilih sebagai responden dalam kajian ini. Kajian ini
telah menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian. Ia seterusnya diedarkan kepada responden
yang terpilih untuk mendapatkan data yang sesuai dengan objektif kajian. Dapatan kajian
menunjukkan pelajar berkemampuan dan mengambil berat terhadap tajuk hamzah alwasl dan
hamzah alqat’. Justeru, kajian dapat merumuskan bahawa penggunaan hamzah alwasl dan hamzah
alqat’ dalam kalangan pelajar bidang bahasa Arab di salah sebuah universiti pantai timur, Malaysia
berada pada tahap yang baik berdasarkan kepada hasil kajian yang diperoleh. Kajian ini turut

Tulisan ini melihat konsep \u27Seni untuk Seni\u27 yang berasal dari Barat itu secara ringkas. Konsep \u27Seni untuk Seni\u27 ini kemudiannya disorot mengikut fahaman Hamzah menerusi lima buah novelnya, iaitu Rumah Itu Dunia Aku - RIDA (1951), Pemburu Pulang ke Rumah - PPKR (1953), Samseng- S (1956), Rumah Kosong- RK(l956) dan Hujan Air Mata- HAM (1958). Kelima-lima buah novel ini kemudiannya telah diterbitkan oleh Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka dalam sebuah koleksi yang bertajuk Novel-novel Hamzah (1989), diselenggarakan oleh S.Othman Kelantan.
