    ABSTRACT ROSDIAWATI, 2020. The Ability to Distinguish between Anecdotal Texts and Exposition Texts of Grade X Students at MAN Enrekang (supervised by Akmal Hamsa and Mayong Maman). The study aims to discover (1) the ability to distinguish between the form of anecdotal text structure and the exposition text of grade X students at MAN Enrekang, (2) the ability to distinguish between the characteristics of anecdotal text and exposition text of grade X students at MAN Enrekang, and (3) the ability to distinguish between the form of linguistic rules of anecdotal text and exposition text of grade Xstudents at MAN Enrekang. This study is a quantitative research. There are three variables in this study, namely students' ability to distinguish between anecdotal and exposition text structures, students' ability to distinguish between the characteristics of anecdotal text and exposition text, students' ability to distinguish between anecdotal and exposition text language rules. The population of the study were students of grade X at MAN Enrekang with 190 students. The sample employed random sampling technique and obtained 61 students. The determination of the sample was based on the steps that had been determined through the random sampling technique which was divided into two groups, namely class X MIPA3 and class X IPS3. Class X MIPA3 with the total of 33 students and class X IPS3 with the total of 28 students. The measurement instrument used was a test. The instrument was validated by expert lecturers. The data obtained were analyzed by employing descriptive analysis. The results of the study reveal that (1) there are still many students who do not understand the skills to distinguish between anecdotal texts and exposition texts based on the form of structure, the characteristics, and the form of language rules, and (2) the scores obtained by students are vary.     Warna Lokal Minangkabau dalam Novel Dayon Karya Akmal Nasery Basral

    Local colors have an influence on the development and introduction of the local culture of an area. The purpose of the study describes the local colors of Minangkabau in the novel Dayon by Akmal N Basral. Data collection techniques include reading techniques, note-taking techniques, and library techniques. The collected research data is analyzed through three stages including, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis show that there is a local color content in the novel Dayon by Akmal N Basral, including: a) Inyiak Tiger Beliefs, b) Minangkabau Community Customs, c) art, d) language, e) livelihood of foodstuffs, f) local animals, and g) Traditional Houses. The existence of local color content in Dayon's novel shows that the author photographed the activities of the Minangkabau people. The local content is able to become a characteristic of regional communities and is useful in shaping the character of the nation.  &nbsp

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mendiskripsikan hasil belajar teks biografi sebelum penerapan teknik pembelajaran PORPE siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 10 Makassar, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar teks biografi setelah menggunakan teknik pembelajaran PORPE siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 10 Makassar, dan (3) membuktikan pengaruh secara signifikan penerapan teknik PORPE terhadap hasil belajar teks biografi Kelas X SMK Negeri 10 Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian Kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain jenis one-group pretest-postest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 10 Makassar yang berjumlah 475 orang. Penarikan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 46 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik tes bentuk pilihan ganda. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar teks biografi sebelum menggunakan teknik PORPE siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 10 Makassar dikategorikan kurang baik dengan nilai rata-rata 42,65; (2) hasil belajar teks biografi setelah menggunakan teknik PORPE siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 10 Makassar dikategorikan cukup baik dengan nilai rata-rata 70,46; (3) hasil uji hipotesis diketahui bahwa nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar teks biografi pada pretes dan postes. Dengan demikian hipotesis diterima, yaitu ada pengaruh secara signifikan penerapan teknik PORPE terhadap hasil belajar teks biografi siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 10 Makassar.     Abstrak: Penelitian in bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan media audio dan media gambar dalam pembelajaran menulis ekspositori bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan secara signifikan antara efektivitas pembelajaran menulis ekspositori berbasis media audio, gambar dan tanpa media pada siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembhasan disarankan: pertama, kepada guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia agar memanfaatkan media setiap pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan lebih mengutamakan pemanfaatan media gambar dalam pembelajaran emnulsi ekspositori daripada media audio serta berusaha meningkatkan kompetisi menyeleksi dan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat sesuai dengan tujuan, materi, kodisi siswa, dan sarana. Kedua, disarankan kepada kepal SMP negeri 21 Makassar agar menyediakan fasilitas pembelajaran (media) dalam rangka memperbaii pembelajaran menulis ekspositori dan mendorong para guru bahasa Indonesia untuk membiasakan diri memanfaatkan media setiap proses pembelajaran serta mendorong, memotivasi, dan memfasilitasi para guru bahasa Indonesia meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengelola pembelajaran berbasis media melalui pelatihan dan penataran. Ketiga, kepada para peminat pembelajaran, peneliti, dan ilmuan agar melakukan penelitan lanjutan dengan keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia lainnya dan penelitian efektivitas pembelajaran berasis media pada mata pelajaran lain serta melakukan penelitian tentang pembelajaran menulis bahasa Indonesia yang berbasis media lainnya secar komperehensif

    Abstract: Changes in the educational system in Indonesia aim to meet the demands of the era, including the science and technology, economic, social, political advancements and society’s structure. Education funnctions as an accelerator for such advancements so that it requires ideal program. Subject matter teachers are expected to be able to understand and implement such program in order to attain the advancements. However, in practice, there are a lot of constraints. Some constrains concern the human resources and this results in education of low quality. Such constraints can be overcome through a policy and strategy focusing on decentralization and autonomy in education. It is necesarry to improve teacher professionalism by eliminating obstacles through teacher trainings to get rid of personal, economic, structural, social, and culturl constraints.     Abstract: This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using pictoral, audio and environmental media in studying expository writing in Bahasa Indonesia for Class II pupils at SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. This research uses quasi-experimental design, limited to audio, pictoral and environmental media variables. Simple random design is used with four treatment groups. The population is 331 class II pupils, SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. Primary data is pupils’ expository writing scores. Secondary data is student perceptions of studying expository writing, through questionnaires. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical technique and inferential statistic testing using different type ANOVA, utilizing SPSS 15.0 for Windows. There is a significant difference between the effectiveness of studying expository writing based on audio media with studying expository writing based on environmental media. If the learner’s aim is to memorise words, then audio media is the most appropriate, while if the aim is motoric, then environmental media is the most appropriate. There is a significant difference between effectiveness of studying expository writing based on pictoral media with studying expository writing based on environmental media. Studying expository writing based on pictoral media is most effective, compared to audio media and environmental media, and studying expository writing based on audio media is more effective than studying expository writing based on environmental media in studying bahasa Indonesia for pupils of Class II SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. This finding shows that use of pictoral media is more effective in raising pupils’ learning prestige. Use of pictures in the learning process will provide optimal results if used appropriately, meaning appropriate with and supporting learning material. Use of media in teaching, particularly pictoral media, really helps speed up pupils’ understanding. Learning media in expository writing helps frame thoughts and ideas, as well as increasing students’ focus

    Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk intrerfensi: (1) morfosintaksis bahas Bugis (BB) dan (2) paling sering muncul dalam penggunaan karangan bahasa Indonesia (BI) siswa. Penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan sampel total 19 siswa SD. Instrumen adalah tes menulis karangan siswa dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan menggunakan karangan berstruktur siswa dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian; 1) pemindahan morfem gramtikal BB dalam pemakaian BI; 2) pemindahan unsur frasa BB dalam pemakaian BI; 3) penerapan hubungan gramatikal BB-BI; dan 4) pola struktur kalimat. Bentuk interferensi yang paling sering muncul adalah pemindahan morfem gramatikal BB dalam pemakaian BI sebanyak 7 atau 38,8

    Abstract: In reformation era, people wish to have changes in various dimensions of life. They attempt to develop the quality of human resources In order to have high competitive power through the modification of educational curriculum, which is accordance with the change of time and the demand of community development. The operation of the educational system, therefore, has moved from centralized system to decentralized one. This movement can be considered as the consequence of the application of the educational rule No. 20, the year 2003. Im this care, competency based curriculum implies that the teaching of language and Indonesian literature refers to the achievement of standard competency and literature appreciation. These two comptencies should be presented through the the teaching and learning of language (communicative) skills, and should be done integratedly, both in an attempt to achieve linguistic competency and to achieve competency in literary appreciation.
