    Get PDF
This study was created to determine the effect of students' perceptions of online learning on student learning outcomes in class XI entrepreneurship subjects at  Sumpah Pemuda Vocational School, West Jakarta. The research design used is quantitative, where student perception is the independent variable and student learning outcomes in entrepreneurship subjects are the dependent variable. There were 130 student populations studied, but only 98 were sampled using random sampling technique. Based on the results of the calculation of the T-test of the influence of students' perceptions, the coefficient value is 0.244 and it can be seen that the Tcount is 2.462. While T table is calculated by the formula a/2 (0.05:2 = 0.025), n-k-1 (98-1-1) = 96 for that Ttable value is 1.984 with a sig value of 0.016 (0.016 <0.05). So it can be concluded that H1 is accepted, which means that there is an influence of students' perceptions about online learning on student learning outcomes in class XI of entrepreneurship subjects at the Sumpah Pemuda Vocational School, West Jakarta

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

This research aims to analyze the learning styles of students in the first semester, namely semester 1, at the Pamulang University Economic Education Study Program using a quantitative approach and phenomenological methodology. The research subjects were 6 students in the first semester of the Economic Education Study Program as Key Informants and 2 lecturers who taught in the first semester as informants. The data collection technique used was interviews. The data analysis technique for this research is by means of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the research show that early semester students have a tendency towards a visual learning style where students prefer to learn by clearly seeing what the lecturer says, starting from mouth movements, hand movements and writing made by the lecturer on the blackboard. Students also tend to write down points that they consider important during the lecture process. This is in line with one of the characteristics of the visual learning style, which is that they enjoy writing down the information they get. By being aware of their respective learning styles and carrying out learning activities according to their learning styles, students can understand the material being studied more optimally. Thus, it can be concluded that students in the first semester of the Economic Education Study Program for the 2023/2024 Odd Semester Academic Year tend to have a visual learning style.Keyword: Education; Study; Learning Style. The purpose of this study was to analyze the school's efforts to improve the quality of education during the Covid 19 Pandemic at MA/Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Junior High School)  Al Muhtadi. This study is a type of qualitative research using a descriptive methodology. Descriptive research is a methodology that seeks to describe and interpret objects as they are. Data collection techniques used in this study included observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a decline in the quality of education at MA Al Muhtadi during the Covid19 Pandemic. This was seen in two indicators: academic and non-academic. Academically, there is a decrease in student learning outcomes because of a decrease in students' understanding of the learning material. Meanwhile, from the non-academic side, there was a decline in students' non-academic achievements because during this pandemic, various competitions in which students usually participated were abolished. The school has made various efforts to improve the quality of education at MA Al Muhadi. The effort is to maximize the support provided by the government in the form of a special internet quota for the learning process. The second is an effective policy from the principal for the implementation of the learning process. Third, teachers should improve their performance during the online learning process. Fourth, cooperation between schools and parents can be increased so that parents can fully support online learning activities.
