Restorasi pasca one visit endodontik dengan perbaikan malposisi dan selective Contouring
No full textKaries yang meluas ke pulpa dapat mengakibatkan inflamasi pulpa. Pulpitis irreversibel merupakan inflamasi pulpa yang dapat diatasi dengan perawatan saluran akar satu kunjungan. Restorasi pasca perawatan endodontik pada gigi depan harus mempertimbangkan estetik. Estetik tidak hanya dilihat dari warna gigi, tetapi juga bentuk gigi, ukuran gigi, oklusi dan penggunaan ruang agar tampak selaras. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada kasus ini adalah karies yang luas hingga menyisakan 1/3 mahkota serta sisa ruang gigi yang sempit. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk melaporkan restorasi mahkota porcelain fused to metal (PFM) pada gigi insisivus sentralis kiri rahang atas (gigi 21) pasca perawatan saluran akar dengan perubahan inklinasi dan selective contouring. Seorang pasien pria berusia 23 tahun dirujuk untuk perawatan endodontik pada gigi 21. Pasien merasakan sakit spontan pada giginya. Gigi labioversi dengan sisa mahkota 1/3 dan sisa ruang sempit. Radiografi menunjukkan karies telah mengenai pulpa. Perawatan endodontik dilakukan dalam satu kunjungan bertujuan menghemat waktu perawatan tanpa mengurangi kualitas perawatan. Evaluasi dilakukan satu minggu setelahnya dan dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan estetik, pembuatan pasak custom dowel dengan perbaikan inklinasi, dan selective conturing gigi untuk mendapatkan ruang ideal. Setelah pemasangan pasak, dilakukan restorasi mahkota PFM. Restorasi pasca endodontik pada gigi anterior dengan malposisi gigi dan ruang gigi sempit dapat berhasil baik dengan pertimbangan estetik, perbaikan inklinasi dengan pasak custom dowel dan selective conturing.ABSTRACT: Restoration post endodontic treatment with malposition correction and selective contouring. Extensive caries can lead to inflammation of the pulp. Irreversible pulpitis is an inflammation of the pulp that can be done by one visit endodontic treatment. Aesthetic aspect should be considered for post endodontic treatment restoration of anterior teeth. Aesthetic is not only seen from the color of the teeth, but also the shape, size, occlusion, and harmonized space. This case is about restoring the remain of 1/3 tooth crown due to extensive caries with narrow tooth space. To report a porcelain fused metal crown restoration in the left maxillary central incisor with inclination correction and selective contouring to obtain space. Twenty three year-old male patient was referred for endodontic treatment on the left maxillary central incisor. Spontaneous pain was also reported. The tooth is labioversy with remaining 1/3 tooth crown due to extensive caries with narrow tooth space. Radiographs showed extensive caries has reached the pulp. Endodontic treatment had done in one visit to save time without compromising the quality treatment. Evaluation was done a week after that and then aesthetic calculation, then custom dowel core with inclination correction for left maxillary central incisor and selective contouring adjacent teeth. After custom dowel insertion, then carried porcelain fuced metal crown restoration. Post endodontic restoration on anterior teeth with dental malposition and narrow tooth space can be managed by aesthetic considerations, inclination correction with custom dowel core and selective contouring

No full textPerawatan saluran akar bukan sekedar melakukan perawatan untuk menyelamatkan gigi yang rusak namun mempertimbangkan juga bagaimana agar setelah dirawat gigi tersebut dapat bertahan lama menjalankan fungsinya didalam rongga mulut. Pada gigi pasca perawatan saluran akar dengan kerusakan yang luas diperlukan pemasangan pasak untuk memperkuat struktur gigi yang tersisa. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi gigi dengan kerusakan yang luas dan anatomi saluran akar distal yang lebar, pasca perawatan saluran akar dan crown lengthening dengan restorasi mahkota porselin fusi metal dan custom split dowel core. Seorang wanita berusia 22 tahun datang ke klinik Konservasi Gigi RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo untuk memeriksakan gigi geraham bawah kirinya yang sudah ditambal sejak sekitar 2 tahun yang lalu. Satu tahun setelah ditambal, gigi tersebut kadang muncul rasa sakit jika digunakan untuk mengunyah makanan dan merasa kurang nyaman ketika minum minuman yang hangat. Diagnosis gigi #37 adalah karies profunda dengan nekrosis pulpa. Perawatan yang dipilih pada kasus ini adalah perawatan saluran akar dan crown lengthening dilanjutkan dengan restorasi mahkota porselin fusi metal dengan custom split dowel core. Hasil pemeriksaan pada kontrol 1 bulan, menunjukkan hasil restorasi yang baik, pasien tidak menunjukkan adanya keluhan. Kesimpulan perawatan ini adalah penggunaan custom split dowel core efektif memperkuat gigi karena pasak tersebut mampu mengisi sesuai bentuk saluran akar yang ada serta menyediakan ferrule yang cukup untuk restorasi akhirnya nanti

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Direct Composite Resin Restoration of Anterior Maxillary Teeth and Esthetic Smile Design: A Case Report
Full text linkDental esthetic complex involves more than one caries with malformed shape and malposition. Dental trauma most commonly affects maxillary anterior teeth, and subsequently affects the esthetics, functions, and psychological well-being of the individual. Composite resins have become an integral part of contemporary restorative and minimally invasive dentistry. Objective: To summarize the successful use of direct composite resin restoration in the management of a 29-year old male patient. Case Report: A 29-year old male patient presenting with multiple secondary caries and crown fractures in the anterior maxillary teeth, resulting in an unaesthetic smile. Comprehensive esthetic dental treatment was carried out. The patient was highly satisfied with the results even after eleven months of follow-up. Conclusion: restorative success with composite resins, the dental treatment plan should be carefully executed with attention to factors such as dental convexities and contours, re‑establishment of function, and esthetics. Smile design should always be a multifactorial decision-making process that allows the clinician to treat patients with an individualized and interdisciplinary approach

Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Effect of Taper and Pitch on Nickle-Titanium File with Variable Cross Section to Its Cyclic Fatigue (In Silico Study)
Full text linkThe geometric design of an endodontic file includes cross-sectional shape, taper, and pitch. NiTi endodontic files of OneCurve (MicroMega) are made of two variations of cross-sectional shape, that is, double-s shaped and triple helix. Various kinds of modifications were made to increase the resistance of the NiTi endodontic files from fracture. Cyclic fatigue is the most common factor that causes a fracture of the endodontic file. Objective: The purpose of this study was to obtain a NiTi endodontic file design that has the best cyclic resistance value based on its taper size and number of pitch. Methods: This study used OneCurve endodontic file size 25.06, then scanned with MicroCT Scan and modified the geometric design. The number of file modifications was nine. Taper size modifications were 4%, 6%, and 8%; the number of pitch modifications was reduced by three, fixed, and added by three. Cyclic fatigue measurement simulations were carried out using the finite element method three times each. The result data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA test and then continued with LSD. Results: The results of the statistical test showed that there was an effect of the size of the taper on the cyclic fatigue values. Endodontic files with a size of a taper 4% had the lowest cyclic fatigue value. Conclusion: The conclusion of this research was that the taper size affects the value of cyclic fatigue in continuous endodontic files made of nickel-titanium with variable cross sections. The number of pitch did not show a significant effect on the cyclic value
