    Literature Review: The Relationship Between Technology Development, the Digital Era, and HRD In Indonesia's Underdeveloped Regions

    This study aimed to find the relationship between technology development and human resource development in underdeveloped areas, especially in Indonesia. The effect of technological development in the digital era is really good, but there are fewer facilities in underdeveloped areas. This was a literature review study. The sources for this literature review were indexed journals and proceedings on Google Scholars from 2019 onwards. There was only one journal before 2019, which was in 2017. With low human resources and minimal access to the internet, human resources in remote areas are threatened with being left behind in facing the changing times brought by the digital era. This research was limited to a general overview of remote areas and their impacts on existing conditions in the digital era. This research can contribute to policy building by the government by giving some views about the condition of the digital era and its impact on human resource development. This research also showed the importance of human resource development in underdeveloped areas. This research can also be a reference for future research on human resource development, the digital era, and the underdeveloped regions in Indonesia.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kompensasi dan Kompetensi Karyawan terhadap Kinerja dengan Disiplin Kerja sebagai Variabel Intervening Karyawan PT Duta Jaya Bakti Bersama Palembang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 115 orang sehingga jumlah sampel sebanyak 115 orang karyawan PT Duta Jaya Bakti Bersama Palembang. Pengolahan data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan program Smart PLS. Hasil penelitian didapat Kompensasi berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap disiplin kerja pada karyawan di PT Duta Jaya Bakti Bersama Palembang. Disarankan pada pihak perusahaan untuk lebih meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dengan memperhatikan kompensasi, sedangkan untuk kompetensi perlunya penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pelatihan (Diklat) dari setiap pekerjaan dalam perusahaan serta memperhatian disiplin kerja karyawan

    The Role of Organizational Culture in Enhancing Lecturer Performance: Mediating Effects of Work-Life Balance in LLDIKTI Region 2

    This study explores the relationship between work-life balance (WLB), organizational culture (OC), and lecturer performance (LP) in higher education institutions under LLDIKTI Region 2. The research specifically investigates how organizational culture mediates the impact of work-life balance on lecturer performance. Using a sample of 220 lecturers, the data were analyzed via path analysis to assess both direct and indirect effects. The results show that work-life balance positively influences organizational culture, which in turn enhances lecturer performance. However, the direct effect of work-life balance on performance was found to be non-significant, suggesting that organizational culture plays a crucial mediating role. This research provides novel insight into how institutional culture mediates the effects of personal well-being on professional outcomes, offering significant implications for policy development in higher education. A strong focus on organizational culture can maximize the benefits of work-life balance initiatives to boost lecturer performance in Indonesian higher education institutions

    Self-development moderates the impact of digital literacy and talent on human error

    Effective public services are important for increasing community satisfaction and organizational credibility. This study aims to explore the influence of digital literacy, underutilized talent, and human error on the effectiveness of public services, with self-development as a moderating variable. This study was conducted with employees of the Trade Office of South Sumatra Province. The research method used was quantitative data analysis, which was performed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this study show that digital literacy and self-development play an important role in reducing human error and increasing the effectiveness of public services. These findings have practical implications for human resource management in the public sector, focusing on improving digital literacy and employee self-development.

    Female Lecturers Managing Work-Family Conflict with Career Autonomy

    This study investigates the impact of Work-Family Conflict (WFC) and the Glass Ceiling (GC) on Job Satisfaction ( JS) among female lecturers in Catholic higher education institutions in Indonesia. Data from 269 respondents were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results show that WFC and GC negatively impact job satisfaction by hindering career progression and creating tension between work and family roles. Protean Career Orientation (PCO) was identified as a key mediator, enabling women to maintain higher job satisfaction despite these barriers. The findings suggest that fostering PCO through targeted development programs can help institutions support female lecturers in navigating institutional challenges and improving job satisfaction

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Disiplin Kerja dan pengembangan karir berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja pegawai Polres Banyuasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada pegawai Polres Banyuasin. Jumlah populasi adalah sebesar 303 responden dimana sampel yang diambil untuk penelitian adalah sebanyak 172 orang. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik probability sampling jenis proportionate random sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah Disiplin Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja pegawai Polres Banyuasin dan Pengembangan Karir berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Polres Banyuasin. Saran yang dapat diberikan dari penelitian ini adalah agar lebih memperhatikan Disiplin Kerja pegawai terutama pada dimensi Bekerja Etis dan untuk Pengembangan Karir pegawai diharapkan lebih memperhatikan akses informasi pengembangan karir di Polres Banyuasin, selanjutnya untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai Polres Banyuasin diharapkan agar dapat memberi evaluasi terhadap kualitas dan keterampilan kinerja pegawai. &nbsp

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.
