Application of Short Card Method in Teaching Compositions in the Intensive Education Program

    No full text
In many Islamic education contexts, teaching Arabic composition poses pedagogical challenges due to students’ limited exposure to structured writing and syntactic complexity. This study aims to examine the application and pedagogical impact of the Short Card Method as an instructional tool for improving Arabic writing skills within an intensive education program. Using a qualitative case study design, the research was conducted through class observations, student writing analysis, and interviews with learners and instructors. The data were analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman model to identify key patterns in learning behavior, grammatical development, and engagement dynamics. The findings demonstrate that the Short Card Method significantly enhances students' grammatical accuracy, fosters cognitive engagement, and improves coherence in written compositions. By incorporating color-coded, manipulable sentence and paragraph components, the method allows students to visualize syntactic relationships and logically organize ideas before writing. These outcomes suggest that low-tech, visual-based learning tools can effectively support Arabic writing instruction when combined with constructivist learning principles. The study contributes an innovative, student-centered approach to teaching composition that is adaptable to faith-based and resource-constrained learning environments

Malaysia is among the top countries in the world in producing oil palm. Nowadays, the number of oil palm production plays a significant role in Malaysia economic growth. The diseases that attack the oil palm leaves were became a major problem in the early growth stage of oil palm such as Culvularia leaf spot that caused by Culvularia sp., Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp elaeidis (Foe), Corticium leaf spot caused by Corticium solani. It was became a problem when hard to be eradicated and taken several methods to eliminate it. Therefore, the main objectives of this study were to recognize and define what type of leaf diseases and its causal agents on oil palm seedlings. Next, to determine disease incidence and distribution of leaf diseases on oil palm seedlings reared in the greenhouse structure. Last but not least, the purpose control on the disease that attacked oil palm seedlings. In this study, disease that I found in the greenhouse three UITM Jasin were found and isolated it to identify what type of disease that attack the oil palm seedlings leaves. In vitro studies, the sample of leaf diseases were collected and its causal agent induced to grow on PDA. Four type of diseases were identified which were Culvularia leaf spot, Fusarium wilt, Common spear rot and Rhizoctonia solani. The most leaf disease attacked on oil palm seedlings was Culvularia leaf spot at 41% incidences. The causal agent for each of leaf diseases have been identified after isolation and observation under microscope based on their microscopic characteristics (Conidia and hyphae). The most recommend control methods have been identified to control common spear rot, Rhizoctonia solani and Culvularia leaf spot was using the biological control method such as Bacillus subtillis, Tricoderma harzianum and wild basidiomycetes. But the most effective approach in controlling fusarium wilt was using the resistances cultivars

On the bicycle, there have some of additional equipment that help cyclist in term of safety features likes bike helmet, reflector light, and speedometer. Furthermore, bike should have many the new innovation of additional equipment to improve the safety features. For example, if the cyclist cycling over the speed limit especially when cycling down the hill with maximum speed that could not brake properly for stopping because bicycle is lighter transportation that will easy accident happen. On fitness exercise, cyclist need one of system to monitoring whole their training season for the speed and healthy level (pulse (rate). To further improvise the productivity of bicycle, we came out with the idea of Bike intelligent Training System (BITs). This project is made to innovation the existing Bike Speed Sensor Equipment by improvement a safety features on bicycle and monitoring the health of pulse rate cyclist. This project will focus on two new specification in terms of safety features on bicycle and monitoring the health of cyclist. By monitoring the pulse rate when cycling activities, cyclist can be maintain their health which doing the exercise properly and flow their body health condition not to force it. BITs is design for monitoring speed of cycling in KM/H. For the improvement of safety features on bicycle, BITs also can warning or notifying by the cyclist if they over speed limit to inform the cyclist to slow down their speed for avoid any accident when cycling in highest speed. Lastly, for all the additional equipment on bicycle should be waterproof suitable when raining, small and lighter
