Pengaruh Sekam Bakar Dan Pupuk NPK Pada Pertumbuhan Bibit Lada
Lada merupakan tanaman yang membutuhkan unsur hara dalarn jumlah yang relatif banyak. Untuk memperoleh tingkat pertumbuhan dan hasil yang tinggi diperlukan dosis pemupukan yang tinggi dengan komposisi unsur yang berimbang. Salah satu hambatan dalam pertumbuhan bibit lada adalah kurang tersedianya unsur hara dalam tanah. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan unsur hara bagi tanaman dilakukan dengan pemberian pupuk yang sesuai dengan  dosis  yang  tepat  sehingga  diharapkan pertumbuhan tanaman lada dapat meningkat. Penelitian Pengaruh sekam bakar dan Pupuk NPK pada Pertumbuhan Bibit Lada bertujuan untuk  memacu pertumbuhan vegetatif bibit lada. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Pembibitan dan Laboratorium Analisis Politeknik Negeri Lampung pada bulan April sampai dengan Oktober 2019. Perlakuan disusun secara faktorial dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok. Faktor pertama adalah pemberian sekam bakar yang terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu S0 = media tanam hanya menggunakan tanah (sebagai kontrol), S1 = media tanam dengan perbandingan tanah dan sekam bakar 3:1, S2 = media tanam dengan perbandingan tanah dan sekam bakar 2:2.   Faktor kedua adalah empat taraf pupuk NPK Mutiara yaitu M0 = tanpa pemberian NPK Mutiara , M1 = pemberian NPK Mutiara 1,5 g/polibeg, M2 = pemberian NPK Mutiara 3 g/polibeg, dan M3 = pemberian NPK Mutiara 4,5 g/polibeg.  Setiap perlakuan diulang tiga kali, sehingga diperoleh 36 satuan percobaan. Masing-masing satuan percobaan terdapat tiga bibit lada yang akan dijadikan sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian sekam bakar tidak berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan bibit lada. Sedangkan pemberian pupuk NPK Mutiara 4,5 g/polibeg berpengaruh nyata pada jumlah daun dan jumlah cabang. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara pemberian sekam bakar dan NPK Mutiara pada pertumbuhan bibit lada. Waktu dan Cara Aplikasi Cendawan Mikoriza Arbuskular (CMA) pada Pertumbuhan Bibit Tanaman Kopi
The effort to increase productivity of coffee plants in long dry season upland of Ultisol include application of Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizae (VAM) on coffee plants, because its application only one time and its affect along a life time of coffee plant in the field. This study aims to determine the exact time and applications method of VAM on growth coffee seedlings. This study used 10 g VAM/polybag or 800 spores as basic treatment. This study used randomized block design and experiment arranged in factorial 3 x 5 with three replications. The first factor was the time of VAM application: given at nursery seedlings (W1), given at transplanting (W2), and combine of given at nursery seedlings and transplanting (W3). The second factor was the applications method of VAM: without VAM inoculant (C0), VAM inoculant placed around the coffee seedling root up to a depth of 2 cm below root (C1), up to a depth of 4cm below root (C2), up to a depth of 6 cm below root (C3), and VAM inoculant mixed with media planting (C4). All data were analyzed for variance. Data analysis followed by separation of means using LSD test with significance level of 5%. The resulted showed that both time and applications method of VAM have affect on growth component and root infection rate. The best application time was double application, i.e. combine of given at nursery seedlings and transplanting, and the best applications method was VAM inoculant placed around the coffee seedling root up to a depth of 2 cm below root, both of them increased plant height, stem diameter, leaf amount, long of root, and root infection rate
Pemanfaatan Trichocompost untuk Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Bibit Lada Perdu
Shrub pepper seedlings contained of trichoderma are that contain fungi Trichoderma harzianum in the form of trichocompost planting media. This study aims to determine the best variety of pepper and on growth of shrub pepper seedling and trchocompost fertilizer dosage on growth of pepper seedling. The study was carried out in the nursery of Politeknik Negeri Lampung as long as 6 month since july 2018. This study used a randomized block design. The first factor is variety of pepper seedlings consisting of two levels, V1 = Natar 1 and V2 = Natar 2. The second factor is the four levels of trichocompost fertilizer, T0 = topsoil 100% , T1 = top soil and trichocompost with 75% :25%, T2 = top soil and trichocompost with 50% : 25%, dan T3 = top soil and trichocompost with 50% : 50%. Each treatment was repeated three times. The results showed that giving trichocompost fertilizer is significantly to increase in plant height shrub pepper seedlings. Natar 1 and Natar 2 showed the same of plant height shrub pepper seedlings, number of seed leaves, stem diameter, number of primary branches. Efektivitas Pupuk Hayati (Inokulan Cendawan Mikoriza Arbuskula dan Trichoderma) dan Pupuk P pada Karakter Fisiologis, Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Nilam (Pogostemon cablin Benth.)
The efforts to increase the effectiveness of nutrient uptake were using inoculant arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and trichoderma. Inoculant arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and trichoderma combined with inorganic fertilizer P (P2O5) are expected to increase the growth, production and physiological characteristics of patchouli plants.This study aims to determine the best biological fertilizer types on growth and yield and physiological characteristics of patchouli plants and determine the dosage of P fertilizer (P2O5) which is good for growth and yield and physiological characteristics of patchouli plant. This research uses factorial randomized block design (RAK), consisting of 2 factors, biofertilizer (H) and (P) dose of phosphat fertilizer, which is repeated 3 times. Factor I is biofertilizer (H), consisting of four (4) levels, namely: H0 = control, H1 = inoculant arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), H2 = trichoderma, and H3 = inoculant AMF and trichoderma. Factor II is a dose of P fertilizer consisting of four (4) levels, namely: P0 = control, P1 = 2 g P2O5, P2 = 4 g P2O5, and P3 = 6 g P2O5. Data analysis was done by fingerprint (F test) at 5% real level, and if there were significant effect difference, followed by using Duncan test with 5% real level. The results showed that application of bioertilizer inoculant AMF combined with trichoderma can increase the growth of patchouli plants. Similarly, the provision of fertilizer P (8 g) is very important for the process of patchouli plant metabolism. Keywords: Inoculant AMF, Tricoderma, Phosfat, Patchouli
Pengaruh Kombinasi Media Lapisan Tanah dan Takaran Cocopeat pada Pertumbuhan Bibit Kakao (Theobroma cacao L.)
Efforts to produce good quality cocoa seedling in quality and quantity, ie the use of planting media containing nutrients needed by plants. Topsoil and cocopeat combination are expected to increase the growth of cocoa seedling. The purpose of this study was to to obtain a good soil layer medium planting on the growth of cocoa seedling, to obtain optimum cocopeat on the growth of cocoa seedling, and to obtain the interaction of soil layer medium planting and cocopeat on the growth of cocoa seedlings. This research was conducted in Politeknik Negeri Lampung’s Teaching Farm in January 2017 until June 2017. The experiment was conducted by factorial randomized block design with two factors and each treatment combination was repeated 3 times. The first factor consists of two levels and the second factor consists of four levels. The first factor, namely top soil and sub soil. The second factor is composting cocopeat on planting medium consisting of 0% cocopeat and 100% soil, 25% cocopeat and 75% soil, 50% cocopeat and 50% soil, 75% cocopeat and 25% soil. The results showed that the cocopeat 0%-75% gave the same effect on the high varieties of seedlings, stem diameter, number of leaves, total dry weight, and dry root weight. In general, top soil and sub soil medium planting did not affected on the growth of cocoa seedling and cocopeat did not affected on the growth of cocoa seedling. There was no interaction between media layer of soil and cocopeat in all observation variables.Â
Adaptation of Tea Seeds (Camellia Sinensis L.) Lowland Based on Physiological Characteristics and Growth at Suboptimal Temperatures
This study aims to determine the best clone species and the best dosage of Salvinia natans compost on the growth and physiological character of lowland tea. This study aims to determine the best types of clones and dosage of Salvinia natans compost for growth and physiological character of lowland tea. This study used a randomized block design experiment with three replications arranged in factorial 2x4. The first factor is a type of clones consists of two (2) levels, namely: Gambung 6 (G1) and Gambung 7 (G2). The second factor is the dosage of Salvinia natans compost with topsoil 100% (K0), topsoil and Salvinia natans compost comparison by1: 1(K1), topsoil and Salvinia natans compost comparison by2: 1(K2), dan topsoil and Salvinia natans compost comparison by3: 1(K3). All data were analyzed for the variance. Analysis followed by separation of means using LSD test with significance level of 5%. The results showed that the clones of Gambung 7 showed the higher value for observation variability in higher growth of seedlings (40,75) and better dry weight(10,78 g). Topsoil planting medium comparison by Salvinia natans compost (1: 1) showed the higher value for observation variability in higher growth of seedlings (42,25) and better dry weight (10,95 g). So, the conclusion is Gambung 7 for the best clone species on the growth and physiological character of lowland tea. The best dosage of Salvinia natans compost on the growth and physiological character of lowland tea is topsoil planting medium comparison by Salvinia natans compost (1: 1)
Pemanfaatan Kompos Kiambang dan Sabut Kelapa Sawit sebagai Media Tanam Alternatif pada Prenursery Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)
The efforts to achieve optimal results in the development of oil palm cultivation one of which is the use of the planting medium. Palm oil seedlings require planting medium that has the chemical and physical properties are good. Media palm nurseries generally consist of topsoil are mixed with sand and organic matter which is expected to obtain a good medium fertility premises. Top soil needs more difficult, so we need to look for alternative media to growing media prenursery palm oil. This study used randomized complete design and experiment arranged in seven media with four replications. The applications method of media: 100 % topsoil (A), topsoil and salvinia compost (1:1) (B), topsoil and coir palm oil (1:1) (C), topsoil and salvinia compost (1:2) (D) , topsoil and coir palm oil (1:2) (E), coir palm oil and salvinia compost (1:2) (F) , topsoil , salvinia compost, and coir palm oil (1:1:1) (G). All data were analyzed for variance. Data analysis followed by separation of means using LSD test with significance level of 5%. The resulted showed that both time and applications method of topsoil have affect on growth component. PENGEMBANGAN UNIT PENANGKAR BIBIT LADA BERKUALITAS DI POLITEKNIK NEGERI LAMPUNG
Pepper is one of the spice crops that contribute to improving the Indonesian economy. Pepper cultivation is carried out on a small scale to a large scale. Pepper propagation by cutting is considered quite effective and efficient. Politeknik Negeri Lampung has been develop the Pepper Nursery Unit since 2007. This unit runs a business in the production of climbing pepper seedling, shrub pepper seedling, and pepper nursery training. The aim of this program is to support the mission of Politeknik Negeri Lampung in preparing itself to face college campus autonomy through the acquisition of revenue from established business units, accelerating the process of developing an entrepreneurial cultural system in the campus environment, providing competency development opportunities for staff and students, and increasing the role of the Politeknik Negeri Lampung for the community, especially in agriculture. The impact of this program is the availability of hight quality pepper seedling, increasing income generating Politeknik Negeri Lampung, establishment of the Pepper Nursery Unit and training service, improving the skills of Politeknik Negeri Lampung students in pepper nursery, developing entrepreneurial potential for students and staff, as well as increasing the role of Lampung State Polytechnic in community service activities.Keywords—Campus entrepreuneurship, estate crop, nursery business
Application of Multiple Fertilizers and White KNO3 to Increase Pepper Plant Growth
Pepper production was decresed, it is caused by quality varieties and less intensive maintenance. Furthermore, price of pepper is unstable. Fertiliation is one of the efforts to increase pepper production. This study aims to obtain the right dose of compound fertilizer (NPK) and white KNO3 to increase production of pepper plants. The experiment using 5 combinations of fertilization : 0,5 g NPK (control), 1 kg NPK combined with 2% white KNO3 each plant, 1,3 kg NPK combined with 2% white KNO3 each plant 1,6 kg NPK combined with 2% white KNO3 each plant. Variables observed for cultivated pepper plant: panicle length (cm), number of panicles, number of segment, and number of branches. Application of 1,3 kg NPK combined with 2% white KNO3 each plant visualized the best of panicle length (4,38 cm), number of panicles (34), number of segment (49,8), and number of branches (17,2)
RESPONS PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN LADA PERDU TERHADAP PEMBERIAN PUPUK KOMPOS LARVA BLACK SOLDIER FLY
Lada (Piper nigrum L.) merupakan tanaman rempah yang memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan perekonomian Indonesia. Upaya peningkatan produktivitas lada di Indonesia khususnya di Lampung karena mengalami penurunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pengaruh pemberian pupuk kompos black soldier fly dalam meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman lada. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun praktikum Politeknik Negeri Lampung, pada bulan Agustus 2020 sampai dengan Desember 2020, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 20 satuan percobaan. Perlakuan terdiri atas 4 taraf, yaitu tanah/kontrol (B0), tanah – sekam bakar 3:1 (B1), tanah – kompos BSF 3:1 (B2) dan tanah – sekam bakar – kompos BSF (B3). Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji F, jika ada perbedaan maka dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT taraf 5%, Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan tanah – sekam bakar 3:1 (B1), perlakuan tanah – kompos BSF 3:1 (B2) dan tanah – sekam bakar – kompos BSF (B3) memberikan pengaruh dalam meningkatkan diameter batang, jumlah cabang dan persentase bunga menjadi buah tanaman lada pada umur 16 minggu setelah tanam.
