Reversible gating of smart plasmonic molecular traps using thermoresponsive polymers for single-molecule detection

Single-molecule surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has attracted increasing interest for chemical and biochemical sensing. Many conventional substrates have a broad distribution of SERS enhancements, which compromise reproducibility and result in slow response times for single-molecule detection. Here we report a smart plasmonic sensor that can reversibly trap a single molecule at hotspots for rapid single-molecule detection. The sensor was fabricated through electrostatic self-assembly of gold nanoparticles onto a gold/silica-coated silicon substrate, producing a high yield of uniformly distributed hotspots on the surface. The hotspots were isolated with a monolayer of a thermoresponsive polymer (poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)), which act as gates for molecular trapping at the hotspots. The sensor shows not only a good SERS reproducibility but also a capability to repetitively trap and release molecules for single-molecular sensing. The single-molecule sensitivity is experimentally verified using SERS spectral blinking and bianalyte methods

This paper details the development of comic book fan culture through the twentieth century. It examines the growing cultural relevance of comic book material and explores the narrative and thematic links between Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" and 1980s conceptions of masculinity and heroism.M.A.Includes bibliographical referencesby Justin Man

    Lizzo “Truth Hurts” Co-Author Allegations

Famous recording artist, Lizzo, filed a preemptive lawsuit on October 23rd, 2019 to disprove allegations that Justin and Jeramiah Raisen and Justin “Yves” Rothman deserve author credit for her song, “Truth Hurts.”Lizzo is seeking a declaratory judgment that the alleged authors have no interest in the copyright or right to share profits. The Raisens and Rothman claim that the lyric “I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100% that bitch”, which originated from a popular internet meme, was a part of an unreleased demo, which Lizzo recorded at the Raisen’s studio, and on the final track. Lizzo claims that Rothman believes that she will pay him to stop making accusations against her, simply because he was present at a writing session for the demo track.

This article examines the credibility and relevance of the role Justin Martyr is accredited with in the contemporary interreligious dialogue. In fact, the concept of Logos spermatikos he introduced into the Christian theology is acknowledged since Vatican II as the justification of the openness towards the non-Christian religions. While examining the dialogue practiced by Justin himself, the author of this article reaches the conclusion that the open mindedness of Christians involved in the contemporary interreligious dialogue goes beyond the one of Justin
