An Investigation of Listening Problems Encountered by 1st Semester Students in Foundation of Listening Subjec
Gusnadi, penelitian yang diberi judul “An Investigation of Listening Problems Encountered by 1st Semester Students in Foundation of Listening Subject” bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan mencari kesulitan-kesulitan mahasiswa pada belajar Foundation of Listening. Observasi, angket, dan list interview digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data secara qualitiatif. Adapun hasil temuan yang diperoleh antara lain; mahasiswa kesulitan memahami apa yang diperdengarka, mahasiswa mendapatkan kesuliatan pada saat mengambil inti dari apa yang diperdengarkan. Masalah lain adalah masalah teknis yang terkadang sangat mengganggu keberlangsungan pembelajaran Listening. Persiapan yang baik,pemeriksaan alat laboratorium bahasa, dan berlatih listening secara berkesinambungan akan memudahkan mahasiswa dalam belajar Listening. Pengaruh Kecepatan Lari, Kekuatan, dan Daya Ledak Tungkai Terhadap Kemampuan Lompat Jauh Pada Siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecepatan lari dan kekuatan secara langsung daya ledak tungkai. Serta mengetahui pengaruh kecepatan lari, kekuatan, dan daya ledak tungkai terhadap kemampuan lompat jauh siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Analisis Jalur atau Path Analisys. Populasi penelitian ini siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba. Sampel digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 orang dari siswa laki kelas VIII pada SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba dengan teknik penentuan sampelnya Probability Sampling (Random Sampling). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan program komputer SPSS 21.
Hasil penelitian dari pengujian analisis regresi masing-masing struktur menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat pengaruh langsung kecepatan lari terhadap daya ledak tungkai pada siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba, sebesar -0,335. (2) Terdapat pengaruh langsung kekuatan otot tungkai terhadap daya ledak tungkai pada siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba, sebesar 0,507. (3) Terdapat pengaruh langsung kecepatan lari terhadap kemampuan lompat jauh pada siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba, sebesar -0,586. (4) Terdapat pengaruh langsung kekuatan otot tungkai terhadap kemampuan lompat jauh pada siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba, sebesar 0,676. (5) Terdapat pengaruh langsung daya ledak tungkai terhadap kemampuan lompat jauh pada siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kabupaten Bulukumba, sebesar 0,504. Dilihat dari nilai α= 0,05 maka pengaruh langsung kecepatan lari dan kekuatan terhadap daya ledak tungkai semua signifikan karena nilai P < 0,05. Demikian juga dengan variabel kecepatan lari, kekuatan, dan daya ledak tungkai terhadap kemampuan lompat jauh juga signifikan karena nilai P < 0,05.

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Perencanaan Humas Berbasis Management By Objective (MBO). Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah gambaran perencanaan humas berbasis management by objective (mbo) dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat di SMK Harapan Bangsa Kecamatan Watang pulu Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang?. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran perencanaan humas sekolah berbasis management by objective (mbo). Pendekatan dan desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Humas, Pengurus Komite/Guru dan Kepala Bagian Tata Usaha. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni observasi kondisi fisik sekolah, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa SMK Harapan Bangsa belum sepenuhnya menerapkan sistem Management By Objective (MBO) atau manajemen berdasarkan sasaran dalam menjalankan perencanaan humas sekolah, adapun hal tersebut dijabarkan sebagai berikut; penetapan tujuan yang dilakukan oleh SMK Harapan Bangsa telah mengarah pada sasaran masing-masing programnya karena tujuan dari program yang telah disusun dapat dirasionalisasikan sesuai dengan kekhususan program, penentuan standar keberhasilan yang dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah telah cukup menjelaskan kegiatan para personil sekolah dan peran stakeholder-nya bagi eksistensi sekolah. Akan tetapi masih perlunya dijabarkan lebih terperinci terkait tentang pembagian tugas dan batasan wewenang para pejabat sekolah terkait masing-masing tupoksinya, pemilihan tindakan/kegiatan untuk mencapai tujuan yang dilakukan oleh sekolah telah sesuai dengan program yang telah direncanakan akan tetapi perlunya kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut dituangkan dalam dokumen program sekolah berupa petunjuk pelaksanaan teknis sekolah khususnya pada departemen kerja humas sekolah

Berdasarkan survei awal melalui Mentimeter, diketahui bahwa 33% mahasiswa sudah memiliki perencanaan karir yang jelas, sedangkan 67% masih merasa tidak yakin akan kesiapan mereka dalam menentukan arah karir setelah lulus. Ketertarikan peneliti terhadap topik ini muncul karena banyak mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang masih mengalami kebingungan dalam merencanakan karir, sehingga penting untuk mengetahui sejauh mana perencanaan karir berpengaruh terhadap kematangan karir mereka.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perencanaan karir terhadap kematangan karir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir angkatan 2021 Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan regresi linear sederhana, serta pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS versi 20. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir angkatan 2021 yang berjumlah 427 orang, dengan sampel sebanyak 80 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara perencanaan karir terhadap kematangan karir mahasiswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji regresi yang menunjukkan nilai p-value < 0,05, serta nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 43,3%, yang berarti perencanaan karir memberikan kontribusi terhadap kematangan karir mahasiswa. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perencanaan karir yang baik dapat meningkatkan kematangan karir mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, universitas disarankan untuk memperkuat layanan bimbingan karir, memberikan pelatihan dan workshop, agar mahasiswa lebih matang dalam menyusun rencana karir mereka.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. THE DIFFERENCE OF SPEAKING ABILITY BETWEEN STUDENTS WHO TAKE ENGLISH COURSE AND WHO DO NOT AT PRIVATE ISLAMIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL NURUL ISLAM OF GUNUNG TOAR DISTRIC OF KUANSING REGENCY

who take English course and who do not at private Islamic senior high school Nurul
Islam of Gunung Toar district of Kuansing regency ”.
There are two variables used in this research namely variable X is speaking ability
for those students who take English course and Y is speaking ability for those students
who do not take English course. There are two formulations of the problem in this
research, the first ‘is there any significant difference on the speaking ability between
students who take English course and for those who do not?, and the second is ‘what are
the factors that influence the speaking ability between students who take English course
and for those who do not?.
Some programs are applied in English course out of the teaching and learning
process, such as conversation program, all of the students should speak English every
meeting and who speak another language get punishment like one hundred for one
mistake. Those programs are not applied in the school. All of the system and program in
English course should make their students have better ability than the students who do
not take English course. Based on the previous short research of the writer, the writer
found that ability, especially in speaking ability of the students who take English course
isn’t suitable with what it should be. The writer found the facts from the phenomena:
some students who take English course are still shy to express their activeness in teaching
and learning process, some students who take English course aren’t brave to
communicate in class.
This research done in private Islamic Senior High School Nurul Islam, so the
subject of this research is all of the students in Islamic senior high school Nurul Islam.
The subject is taken by using total sampling technique for those students who take
English course and proportional random sampling for those students who do not take
English course. To get the data, the writer use test and questionnaire. Then to analyze the
data the writer uses the formula as follows:

Based on the data analysis by using ‘t’ test, t is 0.486, and 22 degree of freedom
where at 5% is 2.07 and at 1% is 2.82 (2.07>0.486<2.82), by using SPSS t is 0.523, df =
22 (2.07>0.523>2.82), so Ho is rejected, it means that there is no significant difference
on speaking ability between the students who take English course and those who do not.
The conclusion is students speaking ability influenced by some factors, like students
follow English program actively
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
