This article was written to provide an overview of the opportunities of education and inter-ethnic relations in the perspective of critical education. The author conducted in-depth study of literature, especia lly in relation to critical education perspective on inter-ethnic relations and educational opportunities. Thoughts on the critical education of modernism to the postmodernism marks optimism into the role of education as cultural tr ansformation and production area, not as reproduction of culture. Meanwhile, inter-ethnic relations deepens national integration, among other things: (1) promote community life in harmony, (2) realizing cultural relatio nship model, (3) appreciating the differences, (4) repairing the emergence of social prejudices, (5) valuing diversity and foster democracy. In this context, the school holds a very important role as a venue for the empowerment and liberation of individuals and groups in a just society by promoting individual and collective autonomy in participatory democratic system that respects the diversity and plurality of social and cultural groups. Democracy as a celebration of difference and diversity, not to serve the agenda of the elite minority and the majority of the ruling ideology
MENEROPONG PERGANTIAN KEPALA DAERAH YANG MASA JABATANNYA TELAH DAN AKAN BERAKHIR DAN DIISI OLEH PENJABAT (PJ) KEPALA DAERAH YANG BERAKHIR PADA PEMILIHAN KEPALA DAERAH (PILKADA) SERENTAK NASIONAL TAHUN 2024
In 2022 the government through the ministry of home affairs has appointed officials (PJ), namely governors, regents and mayors. The appointed officials are to replace governors, regents and mayors whose term of office has ended for 5 (five) years. For 2023 the government through the ministry of home affairs will appoint acting governors, regents and mayors. The term of office of the acting regional head will end after the appointment and inauguration of the governors, regents and mayors resulting from the simultaneous national regional head elections on November 27 2024. The officials who have been appointed by the Minister of Home Affairs in 2022 are 7 (seven) governors, 76 ( seventy six) regents and 18 (eighteen) mayors. Whereas in 2023 the government will appoint officials namely 18 (eighteen) governors, 115 (one hundred and fifteen) regents and 38 (thirty eight) mayors. In appointing and appointing the acting regional heads, the government is guided by Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents and Mayors. Furthermore, this problem arose when the provisions of Article 201 Paragraph (10) and Paragraph (11) of Law Number 10 of 2016 were requested for a material review to the Constitutional Court in Case Number 15/PUU-XX/2022. In one of its rulings, the Constitutional Court stipulated that, "The government should make technical regulations in appointing acting regional heads" (in the form of government regulations, author). But it seems that the government, in this case the Ministry of Home Affairs, has not yet implemented the Constitutional Court's decision, even though in 2023 the government will appoint another acting regional head. For this reason, the author is interested in conducting research with the title "Specifying the Change of Regional Heads whose Term of Office Has Ended And Will Be Filled By Acting (PJ) Regional Heads Which End in the 2024 National Concurrent Regional Head Elections (Pilkada)
Deliberative Problems in the Distribution of Covid-19 Social Assistance: Critical Dialogue with the Village Government
The distribution of Covid-19 social assistance has caused vertical conflicts between the village government and its people. This problem occurred all over Indonesia, including in Blitar Regency, where the village heads gave up and asked for advocacy from the District Parliament (DPRD). This study aims to identify the problem in the distribution of Covid-19 social assistance faced by the village government in Blitar Regency. Critical paradigms are used as the basis for finding problems, while the research approach used is qualitative with a case study. The results showed that the problems in the distribution of Covid-19 Social Assistance in villages in Blitar Regency are divided into two, the accompanying problem in each social assistance and the derivative problem resulting from the social assistance distribution processes. Theoretically, most of the distribution of the covid-19 social assistance are experiencing deliberative problems which means the absence of deliberation. Elaboration on the recommendations made by the village government, the analysis of theories, and relevant studies refers to the alignment towards deliberative democratic methods, because this method hints at the management of social assistance that is more participatory, transparent, and oriented to the value of justice

PENGERTIAN, HUBUNGAN, DAN IMPLEMENTASI SOFT SKILLS, PEMBELAJARAN AFEKTIF, DAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PROSES BELAJAR MENGAJAR
This paper is the result of the author who has participated in various trainings organized by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education. Based on that, it can be stated that both soft skills, effective learning, and character education, the three are not in the realm related to technical skills, professional scientific fields, or things that are motoric in nature. All three are in the area ofpersonality competence. All three are more closely related to EQ., SQ., Heart, to live together and to be than with IQ, hand, head, to do, or to know. Thus the meaning of sofs skills, character education is not much diferent from affective abilities. However, of course there are diferences, such as the sofs skill gives a broader picture ofpersonality, while character education provides a more specific and specific personality picture than affective competence. This can be seen clearly from the many and broad scope of the attributes of soft skills, as well as the specific and specific character education goals that emphasize the basic values of character, namely honesty, smart, tough, and caring. Efforts to carry out character education in the ISBI Bandung environment will be confronted with the main problem, namely the ability to make changes in the level of thought patterns and patterns of action. The mindset of entering into the realm, namely the implementation of activities carried out in the ISBI Bandung environment must be able to incorporate elements of the basic values of character into each activity carried out. The pattern of action can be in the form of building synergy between lecturers and students. The synergy between lecturers and students is an intellectual capital to realize success.
