Factors affecting the employability skills of vocational students majoring mechanical engineering
This study aims to find out the significance of the direct effect of industrial work practices on work learning readiness, vocational competency, and employability skills, the direct effect of work learning readiness on employability skills, and the direct effect of vocational competency on employability skills. The significance of the effect founds was expected to enhance the knowledge and consideration for developing employability skills vocational high school (VHS) students especially at industrial work practice, work readiness, vocational competency at vocational high school. The research used a quantitative approach with ex-post facto type. The data were analyzed quantitatively to test the formulated hypothesis. The research was conducted at State and Private Vocational High School in Yogyakarta Special Region. The population of the study was grade XII students majoring mechanical engineering. The research samples were 444 students who were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection techniques were questionnaires distribution and documentation. The content validity was established using expert judgment. The construct validity was established using analysis factor by Kaiser Meyer Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy (KMO MSA) with a value of 0.691. The reliability of the research was judged using Cronbach's alpha with value for work readiness of 0.921 and employability skills of 0.864. The data analysis technique used path analysis. The result of the study shows that employability skills can be improved through effective implementation of industrial work practice, good training work learning readiness, and vocational competency-based technical skills and non-technical skills

Konstruk Green Skills Mahasiswa Pendidikan Vokasional Bidang Teknologi Manufaktur.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menginvestigasi kondisi implementasi green skills mahasiswa, (2) mendapatkan konstruk-konstruk yang membentuk green skills mahasiswa, (3) mengungkapkan model pengukuran konstruk dari variabel yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap green skills mahasiswa, dan (4) menghasilkan model struktural green skills mahasiswa pendidikan vokasional.
Penelitian ini menggunakan model sequential, yaitu dari penelitian kualitatif dan dilanjutkan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di politeknik negeri dan swasta di Provinsi Jawa Timur, Jawa Tengah, dan Jawa Barat. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa jurusan teknologi manufaktur. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 247 mahasiswa dipilih dengan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data kualitatif dilakukan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dan literature review yang sistematik, sedangkan pengumpulan data kualitatif menggunakan self-assessment dan instrument. Validitas isi dilakukan melalui focus group discussion pakar pendidikan teknologi dan kejuruan. Validitas konstruk dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Modeling. Reliabilitas diukur menggunakan construct reliability dan variance extracted. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah bibliometric dan confirmatory factor analysis.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Kondisi implemetasi green skills mahasiswa politeknik pada jurusan teknologi manufaktur termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik. (2) Kontruk green skills mahasiswa dapat dicermati melalui 10 dimensi yang ada di dalamnya yaitu inovatif, penyelesaian masalah, keterampilan ICT, disiplin, green career, green entrepreneur, green employment, green job, perawatan, dan networking. (3) Variabel yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap green skills mahasiswa yaitu kesadaran, pengetahuan, values, dan sikap. (4) Model structural green skills mahasiswa adalah pada (a) dimensi kesadaran terdiri dari kontrol diri, kepekaan, tertib, peduli, usaha; (b) dimensi pengetahuan terdiri dari pemahaman tentang sustainable development goals, green technology, kesehatan keselamatan keamanan dan lingkungan, perubahan iklim, dan renewable energy; (c) dimensi values terdiri dari relationship, ketaatan, kebersihan, figure, dan acknowledgement; (d) dimensi sikap terdiri dari mengurangi, membuat, mengadaptasi, save, recycle, economize, dan decide
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Faktor-Faktor Yang Berpengaruh Terhadap Employability Skills Siswa SMK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji: (1) pengaruh praktik kerja industri terhadap kesiapan belajar bekerja, (2) pengaruh praktik kerja industri terhadap kompetensi kejuruan, (3) pengaruh praktik kerja industri terhadap employability skills, (4) pengaruh langsung kesiapan belajar bekerja terhadap employability skills, (5) pengaruh langsung kompetensi kejuruan terhadap employability skills, (6) pengaruh tidak langsung praktik kerja industri terhadap employability skills melalui kesiapan belajar bekerja, dan (7) pengaruh tidak langsung praktik kerja industri terhadap employability skills melalui kompetensi kejuruan.
Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis expost facto. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Negeri dan Swasta Se-Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII jurusan teknik pemesinan. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 444 siswa dipilih secara proportionate stratified random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan dokumen. Validitas isi dilakukan melalui pertimbangan ahli. Validitas konstruk dilakukan dengan analisis faktor Kaiser Meyer Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy dengan nilai 0,691 dan reliabilitasanya menggunakan Cronbachs Alpha dengan nilai untuk kesiapan kerja sebesar 0,921 dan employability skills sebesar 0,864. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah path analysis.
Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh langsung prakerin terhadap kesiapan belajar bekerja sebesar 23,3%, (2) terdapat pengaruh langsung prakerin terhadap kompetensi kejuruan sebesar 28,2%, (3) terdapat pengaruh langsung prakerin terhadap employability skills sebesar 10,1%, (4) terdapat pengaruh langsung kesiapan belajar bekerja terhadap employability skills sebesar 50,1%, (5) terdapat pengaruh langsung kompetensi kejuruan terhadap employability skills sebesar 15,4%, (6) terdapat pengaruh secara tidak langsung prakerin terhadap employability skills melalui kesiapan belajar bekerja sebesar 11,7%, (7) terdapat pengaruh secara tidak langsung prakerin terhadap employability skills melalui kompetensi kejuruan sebesar 4,3%. Employability skills siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui pelaksanaan praktik kerja industri, kesiapan belajar bekerja, dan kompetensi kejuruan yang maksimal.

EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN GAMBAR TEKNIK MESIN DENGAN AUTOCAD 2020 DI SMK NEGERI 1 PALANGKA RAYA
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran Gambar Teknik Mesin dengan Autocad bila dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini menggunakan sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI SMK N 1 Palangka Raya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group. Uji-t dilakukan untuk mengukur efektivitas media pembelajaran menggunakan Autocad dan pembelajaran konvensional berdasarkan kriteria hasil belajarnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas pembelajaran dengan Autocad dibanding pembelajaran konvensional mempunyai perbedaan yang signifikan. Pembelajaran Autocad lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi Gambar Teknik Mesin kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Ray
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
