Interperasi Kata Qātilū dalam Q.S. Al-Taubah (9): 29 Studi Analisis Kajian Ma‘nā cum Maghzā Sahiron Syamsuddin
The verses of the Al-Quran have meanings and purposes related to the history behind the revelation of the verses. The meaning of verses can be explored by various approaches and methods of interpretation. This article examines the word qātilū in Q.S. At-Taubaḥ [9]: 29. The word often has a double meaning so it is understood incorrectly and only the external aspects are discussed. Basically the word qātilū in the Koran means "fight". But in fact the word qātilū in Q.S. At-Tubaḥ [9]: 29 is used as "legal" legitimacy to commit murder. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the meaning of the word qātilū using a descriptive analysis method. The theoretical approach used is the maʻna cum maghza theory initiated by Sahiron Syamsuddin. The process of interpretation in the maʻna cum maghza theory is carried out by: First, paying attention to the meaning of at-tarikhī or the meaning of the language intended by the author. Second, looking for significance (al-ma'na al-tarikhī) is paying attention to the historical context of the studied verse. Third, dynamic phenomenal significance (al-maghza al-mutharrik al-muʻasir). Primary source analysis was carried out by interpreting the word qātilū from various commentaries, the Koran, and supported by secondary sources in the form of relevant books, journals, and articles. The results of this research show that: First, the word qātilū means "fight" namely to the People of the Book, especially the Romans. Second, this verse refers to the permissibility of fighting when Islam is under pressure and threats such as territorial expansion by the people of the book in the Arabian peninsula, disobedience in paying jizya, torture of Muslims, etc. Third, this verse has asbabun nuzul, namely the context of the war with the Romans called Ghazwa al-ʻUra. Fourth, orders to fight are permissible when there are threats, violations of agreements, and rebellion against Islam. When these elements do not occur, fighting/killing other people is prohibited
Implementing the Principles of Andragogy in ELT to Enhance the students’ English Competence
Various methods and activities have been undertaken by English teachers to improve the ability of students in English, but the reality shows that a monotonous and tedious method causes students to become passive. This study aims to determine the effect of using the principles of andragogy on the motivation and ability of English speaking students at the Faculty of Law, University of Sawerigading Makassar. The data in this study were obtained through oral tests given in the initial and final tests. The author also uses a questionnaire filled by 25 students from the experimental class. Data obtained from oral tests were then analyzed and interpreted using the SPSS 16 program, while questionnaires were analyzed and interpreted using a Likert scale. The results showed that the treatment given to the experimental class succeeded in improving students' English proficiency. The questionnaire results also show that the average value obtained is 90.16 and can be classified as "very interested". This indicates that the students in the experimental class responded positively to the method used.

KAIDAH KEMUTTASILAN SANAD HADIS (Studi Kritis Terhadap Pendapat Syuhudi Ismail)
The study of the sanad is very important in hadith studies. This article attempts to analyze and criticize Syuhudi Ismail theory of the ittisal sanad (the connectedness of hadith chain). The author comes to two conclusions. First, a chain hadith is considered muttasil (unbroken) if each narrator to the previous nearest narrator validly existing under the provisions of tahammul wa \u27al-ada’ al-hadis and according to historical provisions. Second, the credibility, religious commitment, and cleverty (s}iqah, ‘adalah, d}âbit}) are not something that are essential in determining ittisal sanad. The ‘adalah (religious commitment) (without cleverty) should be sufficient, as long as it does not fall on mudallis narrators category

Khaled Abou El Fadl’s perspective on hadith hermeneutics
This article discusses the method of hadith hermeneutics according to Khaled M. Abou El Fadl. El Fadl's academic concern is related to the authoritarianism of fatwas issued by several ulama and fatwa institutions. These fatwas are considered authoritarian and discriminatory towards women, seem rigid, and can’t adapt to the times. This authoritarianism phenomenon appears due to methodological errors in understanding legal texts, and the absence of negotiations between the text, the author, and the reader, each of whom has problems. Therefore, Khaled offers a hermeneutic method that consists of three things: text competence, meaning determination, and the concept of representation in Islam. If these three elements are met, then the fatwas of Islamic law produced by the ulama are authoritative, authoritarian, and discriminatory
An Analytical Solution of the Generalized Heat Equation Using the Offset Fractional Fourier Transform
In the present work, the main objective is to explore the solution of generalized heat using the offset fractional Fourier transform. The offset fractional Fourier transform is introduced, related theorems and essential properties are collected. Some examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method
