No full textThis article discusses Alf Nilsen-Børsskog’s four-volume series of novels Elämän jatko [Continuation of life, 2004–2015], seen as the first literary works treating the Kven culture from a native perspective. Nilsen-Børsskog’s novels are analysed as constituting a “counterstory”, a term coined in the postcolonial cultural research paradigm to refer to self-representation. The Kvens have been considered a national minority in Norway since 1999, and their language has been an official minority language since 2005. The present author scrutinizes how Nilsen-Børsskog’s work differs from previous literary descriptions of this minority, often marked by the frequent use of stereotypes of the Kven language and culture

No full textFișierul atașat conține: Rezumat, Abstract, Cuprins, Introducere.În prezenta lucrare este abordată tema cu privire la producerea biocarburanților din biomasă solidă prin Sinteza Fischer-Tropsch (FT).
Actualitatea temei rezidă din faptul că, în prezent, preocupările mondiale se îndreaptă spre reducerile emisiilor gazelor cu efct de seră, care contribuie direct la fenomenul schimbării climei. Pentru a soluționa această problemă, în lucrare au fost analizate două direcții spre combaterea lor. Se vorbește despre:
producerea biocarburanților prin sinteza FT, astfel reducînd concentrațiile de emisii CO2;
utilizarea deșeurilor solide drept materie primă în procesul de producere de biocarburanți, în așa mod deșeurile (rezidurile lemnoase) nu vor fi arse pe terenuri.
Tehnologia de sinteză Fischer – Tropsch, dată în exploatare din anul 1920, este și astăzi implimentată la centralele, ale căror țări sunt înalt industrializate, deoarece impune costuri mari de întreținere.
Memoriul explicativ este structurat în 4 capitole, cu un volum de 83 pagini; 10 tabele, 33 figuri; bibliografia cuprinde 70 surse.This paper addresses the issue of the production of biofuels from solid biomass by the Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis (FT).
The topicality of the theme is that global concerns are now moving towards greenhouse gas emission reductions that contribute directly to the phenomenon of climate change. In order to solve this problem, two directions were dealt with in the paper to combat these problems. It is talked about:
¸ production of biofuels through FT synthesis;
¸ the use of solid waste as a raw material in the production of biofuels.
The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology, which has been in operation since 1920, is still being used in power plants, whose countries are highly industrialized, as it imposes high maintenance costs.

Evolutionary patterns of cat-like carnivorans unveils drivers of the sabertoothed morphology
No full textpeer reviewedThe sabertooth morphology stands as a classic case of convergence, manifesting recurrently across various vertebrate groups, prominently within two carnivorans clades: felids and nimravids. Nonetheless, the evolutionary mechanisms driving these recurring phenotypes remain insufficiently understood, lacking a robust phylogenetic and spatiotemporal framework. We reconstruct into the tempo and mode of cranio-mandibular evolution of Felidae and Nimravidae and evaluate the strength of the dichotomy between conical and sabertoothed species but also within sabertoothed morphotypes. To do so, we investigate morphological variation, convergence, phenotypic integration, and evolutionary rates, employing a comprehensive dataset of nearly 200 3D models encompassing mandibles and crania from both extinct and extant feline-like carnivorans, spanning their entire evolutionary timeline. Our results reject the hypothesis of a distinctive sabretooth morphology, revealing instead a continuous spectrum of feline-like phenotypes in both cranium and mandible, with sporadic instances of unequivocal convergence. Disparity peaked at the end of the Miocene and is usually higher in clades containing taxa with extreme sabertoothed adaptations. We show that taxa with saberteeth exhibit a lower degree of craniomandibular integration, allowing to exhibit a greater range of phenotypes. Those same groups usually show a burst of morphological evolutionary rate at the beginning of their evolutionary history. Consequently, we propose that a reduced degree of integration coupled with rapid evolutionary rates emerge as key components in the development of a sabertoothed morphology in multiple clades.SYNTHESYS Access Progra
