    Kebijakan penyebaran dan pengembangan ternak sapi bergulir harus menerapkan prinsip kehati-hatian dan analisis karakter calon peternak penerima bantuan. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepatuhan peternak dalam mengembalikan atau mengulirkan ternak sapi dan menganalisis pengaruh karakter peternak terhadap kepatuhan peternak dalam mengembalikan atau mengulirkan ternak sapi pada pola gaduhan ternak sapi pemerintah daerah di Kabupaten Batang Hari. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Batang Hari. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei, yaitu suatu penelitian dengan cara mengambil sampel dari suatu populasi yang bertujuan memperoleh generalisasi sejauh populasi dari mana sampel tersebut diambil. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Simpel Random Sampling. Setelah ditentukan populasi sasaran beserta strata populasi, maka ditentukan ukuran sampel n yang disebut overall sample size. Pengukuran variabel kualitatif digunakan kuesioner bentuk pertanyaan dengan Scala Likert’s Summated Rating’s yang diuji dengan uji validitas (test of validity) dan uji reliabilitas (test of reliability) instrumen. Data skala ordinal dilakukan transformasi menjadi skala interval dengan menggunakan Method of Succesive Interval (MSI). Untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh karakter peternak kepatuhan peternak dalam mengembalikan atau mengulirkan ternak sapi pada pola gaduhan ternak sapi pemerintah daerah di Kabupaten Batang Hari digunakan analisis jalur (path analysis)

Haryono No. 169 Malang e-mail: [email protected]   Abstrak Seiring dengan berkembangnya lingkungan ketenagakerjaan di Indonesia, terdapat beberapa kebijakan yang dimaksudkan untuk memakmurkan Pekerja/Buruh yang berada di dalam lingkungan perusahaan salah satu kebijakannya adalah memberikan Kompensasi kepada Pekerja/Buruh Perjanjian Kerja Waktu Tertentu (PKWT) apabila Para Pekerja/Buruh tersebut sudah habis Kontrak kerjanya, Namun pada kenyataannya masih ada beberapa perusahaan salah satunya PT. Kompas Media Nusantara yang belum memberikan Kompensasi terhadap Pekerja PKWT Profesional dengan alasan masih banyak pengaturan di dalam peraturan perundang-undangan di bidang yang bersangkutan dengan PKWT dan pemberian Kompensasi yang belum memberikan Pengaturan yang jelas. Oleh sebab itu penulis mengangkat judul “Efektivitas Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 35 Tahun 2021 Tentang Perjanjian Kerja Waktu Tertentu, Alih Daya, Waktu Kerja Dan Waktu Istirahat, Dan Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja  Dalam Pemberian Kompensasi Kepada Pekerja Perjanjian Kerja Waktu Tertentu (Studi di PT. Kompas Media Nusantara)”, karena pada kenyataannya masih banyak kondisi dimana Pekerja/Buruh tidak mendapatkan hak yang seharusnya diterima yaitu Kompensasi. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian hukum yuridis empiris dengan metode pendekatan yuridis sosiologis. Penelitan ini membahas mengenai faktor apa saja yang membuat kurang efektifnya pengaturan mengenai pemberian Kompensasi kepada Pekerja/Buruh PKWT. Kata Kunci: kompensasi, perjanjian kerja waktu tertentu, efektivitas   Abstract As labor is growing in Indonesia, there have been some policies intended to ensure the wellbeing of laborers/workers working in companies. Providing compensation is one of the policies provided for workers/laborers working under the Temporary Work Agreement (henceforth referred to as PKWT) and this compensation will be received when the contract ends. PT. Kompas Media Nusantara is a company that has not provided any compensation for some of its workers under PKWT. Workers not receiving their compensation when their work contract ends are common to find. For this reason, the author raises the title "Effectiveness of Article 15 Paragraph (1) of Government Regulation Number 35 of 2021 Concerning Temporary Work Agreement, Outsourcing, Working and Break Time, and Layoffs in the Provision of Compensation for Workers Under Temporary Work Agreement (A Study in PT. Kompas Media Nusantara)”, because in reality there are still many conditions where workers/laborers do not get the rights they should receive, namely compensation. With an empirical-juridical method and a socio-juridical method, this research investigates what factors have caused the lack of effectiveness of the regulation concerning the provision of compensation for workers/laborers working under PKWT.     Abstract: Professional development of faculty members is an emerging concept in developing countries. It has been embraced quickly in developed nations unlike developing and under developing nations. The major purpose of this paper is to explore various perceived issues and challenges to professional development of faculty members and to provide suggestions to improve such emerging problems. This paper provides suggestions and recommendations for the universities where professional development practices have not yet started or have been started but facing some problems. Author has explored various perceived issues and challenges highlighted by prior studies that have further served as basis to design structured questionnaire and semi-structured interview questions for this study. Four renowned universities of Punjab were selected from which sample of 108 respondents were chosen for data collection. Data has been analyzed by taking simple means and standard deviations through SPSS. The findings of this paper reveal that the issue that is most alarming and has got lowest mean score is granting rewards and incentives and level of satisfaction of faculty members to professional development programs. Author has provided various recommendations as to conduct proper need assessment before training, to properly plan quality training programs and take input of trainees as well, to increase grants and funds for training, to create positive working environment for teachers, to train the trainers, to provide financial and non financial benefits to trainees and to properly scheduling training programs. This study could be beneficial for policy makers, managers and administrators of universities who could device better policies and practices to promote quality teaching in institutes.     The meat consumption pattern of costal community in the regency of Esat Tanjung Jabung was chicken, beef, fish, anchovy, wet shrimp ,, freshwater fish and salted fish. The beef consumption was around 8.03 g percapita perday. Family habit in consuming beef, family taste in consuming beef, the family in-come percapita and the meat availaibity simultaniously affects on meat consumption in this area. However in partial family income is the only factor affecting the meat consumption on costal community in the regency od East Tanjung Jabung

    Kerja praktek merupakan salah satu kurikulum wajib yang harus ditempuh oleh mahasiswa S-1 Teknik Sipil, Fakultas Teknik Sipil, Perencanaan, dan Kebumian (FTSPK). Dengan kegiatan tersebut diharapkan mahasiswa dapat menambah pengetahuan dan pengalaman tentang dunia industri yang dapat menunjang pengetahuan teoritis yang didapat dari perkuliahan sehingga mahasiswa dapat menjadi sumber daya manusia yang siap menghadapi tantangan era globalisasi. Selain itu, mata kuliah kerja praktek menjadi salah satu pendorong utama bagi mahasiswa untuk mengenal kondisi di lapangan kerja. Dalam menerapkan teori-teori tersebut, mahasiswa dapat melakukan kegiatan Kerja Praktek di sebuah proyek yang sedang berjalan. Salah satu proyek tersebut adalah Proyek Pembangunan Apartemen Kyo yang berlokasi di Kota Surabaya. Surabaya merupakan kota metropolitan kedua di Indonesia setelah Jakarta. Sebagai kota yang menjadi pusat dari berbagai kegiatan, Surabaya berperan penting untuk mempercepat laju pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tahun 2021, Jawa Timur memiliki angka pertumbuhan ekonomi sebesar 7,05% yang menunjukkan terjadi pemulihan ekonomi pada kondisi pandemi ini. Hal ini juga diperkuat dengan pertumbuhan penduduk di Surabaya berdasarkan data sensus 2020 menunjukkan peningkatan 42,47%. Dengan aktivitas perekonomian dan kepadatan penduduk yang sangat tinggi, maka dibutuhkan peningkatan kapasitas hunian untuk mengakomodasi laju pertumbuhan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, PT. Tanrise Jaya Indonesia sedang membangun apartemen Kyo Society. Letak gedung tersebut berada di dekat Universitas Negeri Surabaya dan juga dekat dengan bandar udara internasional juanda sehingga merupakan tempat strategis untuk hunian bagi para pendatang di Surabaya dan juga para mahasiswa. Dalam hal ini, PT. Tanrise Jaya Indonesia menggandeng PT. WIKA Gedung, Tbk sebagai kontraktor utama dalam proyek pembangunan apartemen Kyo Society tersebut. Rencananya gedung ini memiliki 1 lantai basement, 1 lantai untuk lobby, 5 lantai untuk parkir, 31 lantai hunian, dan juga 1 lantai Atap. ===================================================================================================== Practical work is one of the mandatory curricula that must be taken by undergraduate students in Civil Engineering, Faculty of Civil, Planning, and Earth Engineering (FTSPK). With these activities, it is hoped that students can increase their knowledge and experience about the industrial world which can support the theoretical knowledge gained from lectures so that students can become human resources who are ready to face the challenges of the globalization era. In addition, practical work courses are one of the main drivers for students to get to know conditions in the work field. In applying these theories, students can carry out practical work activities on an ongoing project. One of these projects is the Kyo Apartment Development Project, which is located in the city of Surabaya. Surabaya is the second metropolitan city in Indonesia after Jakarta. As a city that is the center of various activities, Surabaya plays an important role in accelerating the pace of economic growth in Indonesia. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2021, East Java has an economic growth rate of 7.05% which indicates an economic recovery in this pandemic condition. This is also reinforced by population growth in Surabaya based on the 2020 census data showing an increase of 42.47%. With economic activity and a very high population density, it is necessary to increase residential capacity to accommodate this growth rate. Therefore, PT. Tanrise Jaya Indonesia is building the Kyo Society apartment. The location of the building is near the State University of Surabaya and also close to the Juanda International Airport so that it is a strategic place for housing for immigrants in Surabaya and also students. In this case, PT. Tanrise Jaya Indonesia cooperates with PT. WIKA Gedung, Tbk as the main contractor in the Kyo Society apartment construction project. The plan is for this building to have 1 basement floor, 1 floor for the lobby, 5 floors for parking, 31 residential floors, and also 1 roof floor

    Studi Efek Interaksi Tanah-Struktur pada Penerapan Sistem Isolasi Gempa untuk Bangunan Eksisting di Tanah Lunak

    Kejadian gempa sering sekali terjadi di Indonesia karena posisi Indonesia yang menempati zona tektonik sangat aktif. Salah satu upaya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan perlindungan seismik struktur menggunakan sistem isolasi dasar. Konsep penggunaan sistem isolasi dasar adalah untuk meningkatkan periode alami struktur dan juga memberikan tambahan redaman sehingga dapat mengurangi gaya gempa pada struktur. Namun masih terjadi keengganan dalam penggunanaan sistem isolasi dasar pada tanah lunak dikarenakan besarnya efek interaksi tanah-struktur pada lokasi tersebut. Interaksi tanah-struktur adalah konsep desain yang mempertimbangkan respon dari struktur, pondasi, dan kondisi tanah. Efek dari interaksi tanah-struktur terdiri dari memanjangkan periode struktur dan juga meningkatkan redaman pada struktur sehingga memiliki efek yang sama dengan sistem isolasi dasar. Namun pada tanah lunak semakin panjang periode struktur, gaya gempa pada struktur bukannya malah berkurang justru malah meningkat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa topik interaksi tanah-struktur masih perlu dikaji lebih lanjut. Dalam tesis ini, gedung A merupakan gedung beton bertulang 13 lantai dibangun pada tanah lunak yang dimodelkan dengan variasi perletakan dasar. Pemodelan pertama menggunakan sistem terjepit kaku dan pemodelan kedua menggunakan sistem isolasi dasar. Pemodelan ketiga menggunakan sistem terjepit kaku dengan mempertimbangkan pengaruh interaksi tanah-struktur. Pemodelan keempat menggunakan sistem isolasi dasar dengan mempertimbangkan pengaruh interaksi tanah-struktur. Kemudian 4 pemodelan tersebut akan dievaluasi respon struktur menggunakan Non Linear Time History (NLTH) dengan 7 (tujuh) pasang rekaman gempa pada level BSE-1E dan BSE-2E. Respon struktur yang diteliti adalah karakteristik dinamik struktur, gaya geser dasar, rasio simpangan atap, simpangan antar lantai, kerusakan sendi plastis elemen struktur, dan disipasi energi. Hasil dari analisa terhadap parameter yang ditinjau adalah dengan pemberian sistem isolasi dasar dapat mereduksi respon struktur sehingga kerusakan elemen struktur dapat diminimalisir. Selanjutnya dengan pemberian efek interaksi tanah-struktur justru memiliki efek yang berkebalikan dengan sistem isolasi dasar yang malah menurunkan respon struktur. Hal tersebut membuat efektifitas pemasangan sistem isolasi dasar pada tanah lunak menjadi semakin menurun. Namun, pemasangan isolasi dasar pada tanah lunak tetap memberikan reduksi respon struktur yang cukup signifikan. ============================================================================================================================= The occurrence of earthquakes is frequent in Indonesia due to its position in a highly active tectonic zone. One approach to meet seismic protection requirements is through the use of base isolation systems. The concept of using base isolation systems aims to increase the natural period of structures and provide additional damping to reduce seismic forces on the structure. This is achieved by isolating the structure from the foundation, allowing the base isolation system to absorb seismic energy before it reaches the upper structure. However, there is still reluctance in implementing base isolation systems on soft soil due to the significant effects of soil-structure interaction (SSI) at such locations. Soil-structure interaction is a design concept that considers the response of the structure, foundation, and soil conditions. The effects of soil-structure interaction include lengthening the period of the structure and increasing the damping, which is similar to the effects provided by base isolation systems. However, in soft soil, as the structure's natural period increases, the seismic forces on the structure do not decrease but rather increase. This indicates that the topic of soil-structure interaction still requires further investigation. In this thesis, Building A, a 13-story reinforced concrete building constructed on soft soil modeled with variations in the foundation systems. The first model uses a fixed base system, while the second model utilizes a base isolation system. The third model uses a fixed base system with the influence of of soil-structure interaction. The fourth model uses a base isolation system while considering the effects of soil-structure interaction. Subsequently, these four models will be evaluated for their structural response using Non Linear Time History (NLTH) with 7 pairs of earthquake recordings on BSE-1E and BSE-2E level. The investigated structural responses area are dynamic structural characteristics, base shear force, roof displacement ratio, inter-story drift, plastic hinge damage of structural elements, and energy dissipation. The results of the analysis of the parameters investigated are that the use of a base isolation system can reduce the structural response so the damage to structural elements can be minimized. Furthermore, the application of SSI effect has the opposite effect to the base isolation system which actually reduces the structural response. This makes the effectiveness of installing a base isolation system on soft soil decrease. However, the installation of base isolation on soft soil still provides a significant reduction in structural response

    Red spinach is a popular vegetable particularly in urban areas, but limited land availability due to urbanization poses a challenge. hexagonal vertical aeroponic system can be a solution to increase production in limited spaces. This study was conducted in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java. The research was a factorial experiment designed using a Split-Plot Design (SPD) method involving two treatment factors. The first factor (main plot) was planting direction (A), consists of six levels: East, Northeast, Northwest, West, Southwest, and Southeast. The second factor (sub-plot) was the number of plants per planting hole (P), consists of three levels: 2 plants/hole, 4 plants/hole, and 6 plants/hole. The results showed that the East direction and 4 plants/hole produced the highest interaction for fresh weight/planting hole

    Flood management, characterization and vulnerability analysis using an integrated RS-GIS and 2D hydrodynamic modelling approach: The case of Deg Nullah, Pakistan

    One-dimensional (1D) hydraulic models have been extensively used to conduct flood simulations for investigating flood depth and extent maps. However, the 1D models cannot simulate many other flood characteristics, such as flood velocity, duration, arrival time and recession time when the flow is not restricted within the channel. These flood characteristics cannot be disregarded as they play an important role in developing flood mitigation and evacuation strategies. This study formulates a two-dimensional (2D) hydrodynamic model combined with remote sensing (RS) and geographic information system (GIS) approach to generate additional flood characteristic maps that cannot be produced with 1D models. The model was applied to a transboundary river of Deg Nullah in Pakistan to simulate an extreme flood event experience in 2014. The flood extent images from the moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS) and observed flood extents were used to evaluate the model performance. Moreover, an entropy distance-based approach was proposed to facilitate the integrated multivariate flood vulnerability classification. The simulated 2D flood modeling results showed a good agreement with the flood extents registered by MODIS and the observed ones. The northwest parts of Deg Nullah near Seowal, Dullam Kahalwan and Zafarwal were the most vulnerable areas due to high flood depths and prolonged flooding duration. Whereas high flood velocities, short flood arrival time, prolonged flood duration and recession times were observed in the upper reach of Deg Nullah thereby making it the most susceptible, critical and vulnerable region to flooding events.Higher Education Commission of Pakista

    Analisis Perbedaan Potensi Eksternal dan Internal Antara Pola Pemeliharaan Ternak Sapi di Kebun Sawit Kecamatan Sungai Bahar

    ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan potensi internal dan eksternal pola pemeliharaan ekstensif dan semi intensif ternak sapi di Kebun Sawit Kecamatan Sungai Bahar Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Metode penelitian adalah metode survey, selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menunjukkan bahwa pada potensi internal dari masing-masing pemeliharaan hanya faktor ketersediaan kandang, sistem perkawinan dan jenis pakan yang berbeda dengan nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 (P<0,05) dan nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel =1,70 (thitung > ttabel). Sementara itu, pada potensi eksternal faktor yang berbeda antara pola pemeliharaan ekstensif dengan semi intensif adalah faktor pembelian ternak, ketersediaan lahan hijauan dan kehilangan ternak dengan nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 (P<0,05) dan nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel =1,69(thitung > ttabel). Kesimpulan potensi internal dan eksternal pola pemeliharaan ekstensif dan semi intensif ternak sapi di Kebun Sawit Kecamatan Sungai Bahar Kabupaten Muaro Jambi menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda.Kata kunci : potensi internal dan eksternal, pemeliharaan ekstensif dan semi intensi
