March Surakarta University, November 2016.This research aimed to identified factors underlying students of FKIP UNS in used the fashion when studying, and described strategy of FKIP students in used the fashion when studying.This research used descriptive-qualitative approaches with case study. The objects of this research is all the students of FKIP UNS. Data were gained from informant. Making the subject of research with purposive sampling. In collecting data using direct observation and structured interviews. Triangulation data used to test the validity of the data. The technique of data analysis used interactive analysis model.The results of this research showed (1) the factors underlying students of FKIP UNS in used the fashion when studying are: a) the recategorization was less going well; b) the recategorization was strong to others identity; c) fashion as artifactual's communication of students of FKIP UNS. (2) Strategy of students in used the fashion when studying is crossing category. The truth is individual may have more than one identity, with the result that crossing category are consequence of double identity. When students was studying and used the uniforms that combined their fashion. However, the uniforms and fashion have differential identity, this is crossing category in the context of social identity communication in the fashion.Based on the results, it can be concluded that the use of fashion on students of FKIP UNS when studying is a manifestation of sosial identity. Besides uniforms, students also have another identity that they show in the same time when studying, that is fashion

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang mendasari mahasiswa FKIP UNS dalam menggunakan fashion ketika kuliah, dan mendeskripsikan strategi mahasiswa FKIP UNS menggunakan fashion dalam menyesuaikan aturan seragam. Penelitian ini menggunakan bentuk pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus tunggal terpancang. Obyek penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa FKIP UNS. Sumber data diperoleh dari informan. Teknik Sampling diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Untuk mencari validitas data menggunakan trianggulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Mahasiswa FKIP UNS tetap menggunakan fashion bergaya meskipun diikat oleh aturan seragam, hasil penelitian di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa menggunakan berbagai macam mode fashion ketika kuliah, hal tersebut didorong oleh adanya pengaruh suatu kelompok sosial dan organisasi yang diikuti mahasiswa, selain itu juga terdapat pengaruh dalam diri mahasiswa yang ingin menampilkan sesuatu yang sifatnya pribadi melalui fashion. Ada sebagian dari mereka menggunakan fashion yang cenderung menabrak aturan seragam FKIP, sehingga mahasiswa tersebut dapat digolongkan kepada mahasiswa yang kurang patuh terhadap aturan seragam FKIP, namun sebagian lagi ada mahasiswa yang tetap mematuhi aturan seragam, mereka cenderung menggunakan mode fashion yang tidak menabrak aturan seragam. Kedua kriteria mahasiswa dalam menggunakan fashion tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa mahasiswa ingin menyampaikan suatu pesan melalui fashion yang mereka gunakan, (2) Ketika kuliah mahasiswa FKIP UNS mengkombinasikan fashion mereka dengan pakaian seragam FKIP UNS, hal ini merupakan bentuk penyesuaian mahasiswa terhadap aturan seragam, sehingga antara fashion mahasiswa dan pakaian seragam berjalan bersamaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan fashion pada mahasiswa FKIP UNS ketika kuliah merupakan wujud dari identitas sosial yang dikomunikasikan melalui fashion. Ketika mahasiswa menggunakan fashion dan seragam dalam waktu yang sama, maka mahasiswa memiliki lebih dari satu identitas. Jadi, yang mendorong mahasiswa FKIP UNS menggunakan fashion ketika kuliah adalah adanya identitas sosial yang ingin mereka tampilkan melalui fashion.     Factors associated with good response in methadone therapy in a Malaysian district hospital

    Introduction: Methadone maintenance treatment is effective in reducing opiate use, related crime and HIV risk be- haviors. However, the number of patients dropping out of treatment or continue misusing drugs are significant. Pri- mary screening of such patients could be useful in the development of guidelines targeted to prevent such incident. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of good treatment responders and whether socio-demographic factors and methadone dosage are associated with good responses. Methods: Respondents were studied from No- vember 2009 until April 2010 and involved all patients that had undergone methadone therapy from November 2005 to November 2009. Data was obtained from medical and pharmacy records. Missing data was obtained directly from patients via direct interviewing. Patients were considered to have a good response if they stay in the programme and have negative urinalysis result within 6 months of enrolment. Results: 66 out of 104 patients have a good response in methadone therapy. There is an association between good response in methadone therapy and educational level (p=0.045) and district of origin (p=0.041). However, there were no associations with methadone dosage. Conclusion: Higher educational level of at least secondary school education was found to be a good predic- tor of good response to methadone therapy. Patients who originated from nearby areas have better outcomes. This could be due to the direct observation therapy which could have an effect on non-compliance of patients who lived far away. This suggests the need to provide methadone therapy in local areas for better accessibility and compliance

    The objective of this research is to study instructional model cooperative type Think Pair and Share with experiment method assisted by multi representation based student worksheet influences to representation skills of verb, math, picture, and graphic on physics learning of class XI MAN 1 Jember. On verbal representation skill, Sig. value=0,00 lower than α = 0,05, so Ha accepted and H0 rejected. The sig value 0,00 shows that experimental class students’ learning outcome are better than control class. So, the research hypothesis is accepted and it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of instructional model cooperative type Think Pair and Share with experiment method assisted by multi representation based student worksheet to verbal representation. While on mathematics, graphics, and picture representation skills Sig.value is greater tha α = 0,05, so Ha accepted and H0 rejected. The sig value 0,00 shows that the learning outcome of experimental class students’ learning outcome are not better than control class. So, the hypothesis is rejected. It can be concluded that there is not a significant influence of instructional model cooperative type Think Pair and Share with experiment method assisted by multi representation based student worksheet to mathematics, graphics and picture representation skills

Therefore, when listening to the description of his talk was easy to understand, understood and grown the love (awe) to him. Feelings of love and admiration were also growing in the hearts of thousands of his disciples. Therefore, a lot of people who liked to tell his karamah - Karamah, although teachers themselves said, Karamah not very important for one's piety, but the consistency in doing good, more better than a thousand Karamah. Once passed away into Rahmatullah, the tomb of K.H. Muhammad Zaini Abd. Ghani always visited by the public until now. Hundreds of people come every day from various parts of this city.     The South Asian countries have a shared past based on deep-rooted common cultural heritage and historical legacy. The region has demographic and geographical advantages young labour force and a contiguous border. The spatial dimension of regional integration of Northeast India and Bangladesh can be inferred from the historical fact that economic growth of Northeast during the British rule flourished essentially on the strength of its integrated transport network through East Bengal. Inland-water trade between India and Bangladesh is important in linking not only Assam but the region as a whole to Bangladesh. Cost effective trade routes through water ways is more important than land routes for India’s Northeast through the corridors of Bangladesh. Notwithstanding the importance of waterways, the land routes continue to be the safe transit for informal trade between both the countries.Regional cooperation; Northeast India

    CHALLENGING GENDER ROLES: A FEMINIST ANALYSIS OF GHANI KHAN'S THE PATHANS

    <p><span>The present research aims to analyse the representation of gender dynamics in Ghani Khan’s <em>The Pathans</em> who is also known as Lewanai </span><span>Phalsafi (The Lunatic Philosopher), <span>is a towering literary figure in Pashto literature. He is commonly known for his poetry and art. Ghani Khan strived to unveil the atrocities of the tribal system and the usurpation of women's rights at the hands of the Pashtoon male-dominant society. Using a feminist theoretical framework and conducting textual analysis, this study endeavours to examine the ways prominent Pashto poet Khan challenges the traditional gender roles of Pashtuns. Specifically, this analysis will focus on the respective representation of masculinity and femininity and the power dynamics, and social norms that define both Pashtun women and Kaftar. The author has used strong female characters, increased the question of masculinity, and created a broader discussion on gender views. Therefore, all aspects of writing are from a feminist perspective. Hence, The Pathans emerges as a dominant text in creating and changing gender roles. The study reveals the ambiguous view of the author on the question of gender roles and shows how these views are expressed through the characters of women and men of Kurdish nationality. The study has shown that Khan’s place of birth strongly influences his views on the distribution of rights and obligations between people of different genders. Khan’s novel focuses on how power relations are pivotal in a particular society. </span></span></p&gt
