The aim of the study was to investigate and compare different kinesitherapy techniques and their impact on the recovery of patients with ischemic stroke. Also, to investigate the effect of kinesiotaping on thrombolized patients. Materials and Methods. The study was conducted in 2014-2015 at the General Hospital for Treatment in Blagoevgrad - Neurology Department. The study contingent consisted of 20 patients, 10 of whom had an ischemic stroke and underwent venous thrombolysis (experimental group). In the other ten patients, no innovation was applied (control group). Results and analysis: In patients with a brain accident, the muscles in the affected limbs are hypotonic. From a kinesitherapeutic point of view, it is very important in the hospital setting not to allow a pathological increase in muscle tone without a precondition for spasticity in the muscles and subsequent contracture. In our study, we examined the change in muscle tone using the Ashworth test. All patients were tested on the day of hospitalization, on the 5th day and on the 7th day (the day of hospitalization), on the 30th day. Discussion. Kinesio tape provides maintenance of the affected muscles and causes significant proprioceptive irritation, which helps to restore the existing motor deficit. Conclusion. We believe that the choice of methodology is extremely difficult due to the colorful clinical picture and the general condition of the patient. The combination of different methods could help the patient recover faster

In this study evaluated the presence of lateral and protrusive guidance in Dentistry students, from Federal University of Santa Catarina. The research involved 187 volunteers with an average age of 22 years, both gender. They were questioned about temporomandibular dysfunction and previous orthodontic treatment, absence and / or dental agenesis, and also underwent a clinical examination by a calibrated operator to observe the presence or absence of guidance, at both sides. The subjects were classified by their guidance occlusal protection type as canine, group or other type of guide . At the right side, canine guidance acquired 43,3%; guide group only 4,8% and another tooth as a guidance 41,2%. At the left side were found 51,8% with canine guidance , 0,5% group and another type of guide obtained 34,8%. Bilateral canine guidance was present in 40,1%. Regarding the presence of anterior guidance, 60,4% of participants leading a strong association with the prior execution of orthodontic treatment (p< 0,006) . No other association was found with types of orthodontic treatment and temporomandibular disorders, except for the presence of in the left canine guidance and make come true orthodontic treatment, which obtained a weak association (p<0,038 %). In addition, there was association between female gender and existence of any condition of dysfunction. Thus, there was no correlation between any type of guide and problems for patient, as well as presence of many different guides types in most of people surveyed

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of Kinesiotape in the lower limb area on improving locomotion in patients with ischemic stroke. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted in the period 2014-2015 at the General Hospital for Active Treatment in Blagoevgrad. Forty patients were studied, divided into two groups of 20 patients - experimental (EG) and control group (KG). In addition, we have applied а standard kinesitherapy program in the two studied groups, in the experimental group, 3 kinesiotape tapes with a specific application "I" shape and a specialized method of application in the field of the foot and m. gluteus maximuswere placed. The results were compared with the results of the patients from the control group and processed with descriptive statistics, as well as non-parametric tests to prove statistically significant differences. Results: After research and analysis, we obtained faster recovery of locomotion in the experimental group and slowing of locomotor movements in the control group (Wilcoxon, ANOVA). Conclusion: The results of our research show that the application of the author's methodology with kinesiotape creates an opportunity to improve the functions in the damaged lower limb, improves locomotion and quality of life

Carlos Trilnick: An Argentine Electronic Image-Processing Pioneer

The author analyzes three 1980s video works by Argentinian pioneer artist Carlos Trilnick (1957-2020), whose insubordinate interventions with image-processing tools served the purpose of a reflection upon time, challenging traditional narratives of sequentiality, segmentation, and cause-effect linearity. These video works display a virtuous interconnection of art and technology, built upon a solid political perspective on audiovisual representation, art history, and territorial disputes. Acknowledging the work of this artist contributes to the expansion of global dialogues about the use of image-processing tools, incorporating Latin America into traditional narratives dominated by Europe-US exchanges.Fil: Cantú, Mariela Elisa. Präsentation von Daniela Reimer's Kapitel in "Qualitative methods in studies of identities and attachment: mothers and children’s perspectives"In this hybrid seminar, Daniela Reimer and Mariela Neagu will discuss in-depth about biographical experiences in out of home care settings based on their biographical studies of foster mothers in Germany and Romanian born foster children and adoptees respectively. This talk will explore the complexity of family life, an essentially private territory, through the social care lens and how it impacts on the identity of those involved as ‘carers’ or ‘cared for’. Daniela Reimer is Professor at the Institute of Childhood, Youth and Family at the Zurich University of Applied Science. She has conducted research on foster care and residential care and is the Coordinator of the International Foster Care Research Network, Member of the AcademiaNet and of the International Association for Outcome-Based Evaluation and Research on Family and Children’s Services. She is the author of the chapter on “Unplanned Breakdown of Foster Mothering” where she used biographical research methods to explore the identity challenges of foster mothers. Mariela Neagu is Research Associate at SKOPE, Department of Education the University of Oxford. Her research interests encompass identity and wellbeing theories, in particular the recognition theory and the Capability Approach, children’s rights and the ethics of care. Her book ‘Voices from the Silent Cradles’ (Policy Press, 2021), sheds light on children’s homes, foster care, domestic and international adoption from the perspective of the young people who experienced these types of care

The child was waiting for us’: The integration of children in adoptive families in Argentina, legitimate connections.

These relationships are expressed in a parenting language involving meanings, values, and specific practices that are modified over time. The author enquires about the processes through which the child is incorporated into the new family group, using information taken from fieldwork with couples that have adopted children during the last decade in Buenos Aires. This article explores their stories related to the “meeting” the adoptive child, the concepts of belonging and the understanding of their “past” family ties. The author concludes that there are certain similarities with ethnographic studies in other contexts and, at the same time, proposes tensions and local connotations regarding the purpose of these families in providing their connections with legitimacy and “veracity”.Fil: Pena, Mariela. o jornalismo do autor 2.0 na construção de novos subjetivos

Fil: Parisi, Mariela. From the 1990s, the Argentine media industry was impacted by digital technologies that modified communications, generated new processes of production, circulation and consumption of information and the way in which the meeting of journalists was established was transformed. with the public This exploratory study is framed in the investigations related to the Speech Analysis, from a specific cut: the discursive production that Cordovan journalists carry out through their blogs or personal websites, a practice that is framed in a new genre that we have defined as "journalism of author 2.0”. We are particularly interested in understanding the way in which journalists, legitimized in previous prestige as such and in discursive production in blogs, constitute their digital identities. In this sense, we think that, in the position of enunciator occupied by the journalist, restoring the proper name implies updating the confidence that they were losing with their readers, both because of the veiled conditions and censures and the same crisis of representation of the hegemonic media. But also, the blog can function as an amplifier of the journalist self-forged in traditional media, such as a stained glass window where to project an image in which new media consumers can be identified on the Internet.https://www.alaic.org/site/congreso-alaic-2020/Fil: Parisi, Mariela.
