Tending and Logic between Bardili and Hegel: The Operativity of Reason beyond the Philosophy of the Subject
Full text linkThe paper traces some stages in the process of the speculative emancipation of the Trieb in Post-Kantian philosophy with the aim of reconstructing the context that allows explaining the outcomes of the treatment given to it by Hegel in the Science of Logic. Initially, some elements that underlie the speculative assimilation of the concept of Trieb in the course of the development of post-Kantian philosophy are presented, and in a second step, the position of an author central to the development of Hegel’s Logic, namely Christoph Gottfried Bardili, is discussed. The theory of the drive developed by Bardili in Grundriss der ersten Logik makes possible a clearer understanding of the different levels at which Hegel makes use of the notion of Trieb in the doctrine of the concept and particularly in the understanding of teleology developed in Wissenschaft der Logik. The overall purpose is to show how the debate on Trieb does not take the form of the evolution of a purely anthropological interpretation, oriented toward a supposed critique of ‘subjectivity’, but rather is the result of its integration in a speculative sense
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Sacrifício e individualidade: Lask leitor de Fichte
Full text linkThis paper deals with the relationship between individuality and value in transcendental philosophy based on the analysis of J. G. Fichte’s philosophy by Emil Lask in his 1903 book, Fichtes Idealismus und die Geschichte. The paper aims to demonstrate how the radicalization of transcendentalism guides it toward a non-empirical realism. It also aims to show how this non-empirical realism prevents transcendentalism from realizing itself exclusively in the form of self-reflexive investigation of the structures of consciousness, and translates it into an appreciation of praxis. After a discussion of Lask’s philosophy in general and of Lask’s Fichte-Buch (§ 2), I explain the content and development of Lask’s thesis in relation to three specific authors: Windelband, Rickert, and Liebmann (§ 3-4). Finally, I analyze two questions that are crucial to the development of Fichtean thought: the relationship between philosophy and life (§ 5) and between individuality and sacrifice (§ 6).

Fichte dada por Emil Lask no livro publicado em1903, Fichtes Idealismus und die Geschichte. O artigo visa mostrar como a radicalização do transcendentalismo o orienta a um realismo não empírico que impede ao transcendentalismo de realizar-se exclusivamente na forma da investigação autorreflexiva das estruturas da consciência e o traduz em uma valorização da práxis. Depois de uma descrição geral das perspectivas abertas pela filosofia laskiana e das razões para valorizar o Fichte-Buch de Lask (§ 2), serão esclarecidos os conteúdos e o contexto de amadurecimento da tese laskiana em relação a três interlocutores específicos: Windelband, Rickert e Liebmann (§§ 3-4). Por fim, serão avaliadas a solidez e a fecundidade de duas questões decisivas para o desenvolvimento do pensamento fichteano: a relação entre filosofia e vida (§ 5) e aquela entre individualidade e sacrifício (§ 6).

Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textNesta contribuição serão destacados alguns aspetos que caracterizam a recepção da filosofia de Fichte em Jean Paul. Além do valor literário, a obra "Clavis Fichteana" representa um conjunto das primeiras críticas à "Doutrina da ciência" de Fichte, desempenhando um papel importante na identificação do idealismo ao niilismo. Após uma apresentação da gênese e dos pressupostos da crítica de Jean Paul, irei me concentrar no núcleo teórico que motiva suas críticas, seja no perfil teorético, seja no prático: o estatuto do não-eu como produzido por uma ficção imaginativa. Isso permitirá que destaquemos os variados momentos do trabalho fichtiano sobre este conceito até os últimos dias da sua reflexão filosófica, como tentativa de responder as críticas apresentadas por Jean Paul.In this paper will be highlighted some aspects that characterize the Jean Paul Richter´s reception of Fichte\u27s Wissenschaftslehre in the text of 1800 Clavis fichtiana seu leibgeberiana. This work represents a set of the first criticisms toward Fichte´s theory of knowledge and plays an important historical role in the identification between idealism and nihilism, developedby Jacobi in the Letter to Fichte of 1799. After a presentation of the genesis and Jean Paul’s critique to Fichte, the paper discuss the speculative core that motivates criticisms of Jean Paul, both in theoretical and practical perspective: the status of no-I as produced by an imaginative fiction

No full textEste livro retoma um conjunto de artigos, ensaios e capítulos dedicados ao pensamento de Karl Leonhard Reinhold, aparecidos ao longo dos últimos anos. Do ponto de vista formal, a intenção foi a de introduzir no debate filosófico brasileiro alguns elementos do pensamento reinholdiano, não apenas ligados à conhecida filosofia elementar. Do ponto de vista do material, o objetivo foi oferecer um panorama da reflexão pós-kantiana para além de um esquema estereotipado, segundo o qual a reflexão, em torno da filosofia de Kant, seria caraterizada pela progressão de um idealismo subjetivista, abstrato e niilista, até uma filosofia especulativa, totalitária, igualmente abstrata e incapaz de dar conta da concretude
da existência individual. Mais do que isso, a exploração ampla do pensamento reinholdiano visou mostrar como a reflexão, em torno de certos elementos colocados na filosofia kantiana e, em especial, na primeira Crítica, permite desenvolvimentos não lineares, paralelos e, sobretudo, múltiplos. Caracterizado por numerosas oscilações, que levaram Fichte a interpretar a figura de Reinhold como um "junco ao vento", vítima de paixões filosóficas fugazes e nem sempre justificadas, Reinhold explora as variadas dimensões dessa multiplicidade. O desenvolvimento das ambições metacríticas de Kant, no sentido da busca de um fundamento da filosofia leva à construção de uma teoria da representação.
