    Central Java is one of the producers of the national rice with1.427.101Ha harvested area and production amounted to 8.021.511 ton milled rice. Rice is the major crop in Central Java as well as the principal livelihoods. Despite the shift of labor from agriculture to other sectors, total employment in Central Java who works in the agricultural sector reached more than 37%. One district in Central Java which has vast paddy field with a large enough rice production is Grobogan district. This study aims to determine the feasibility of rice farming in Grobogan both financially and socially by using Private and Social Analysis. The results showed that the value of R/C for private and social is 0.3 and 0.2. This suggests that rice farming is not profitable for farmers to commercialize and for society as a whole. Thus, it is needed the act and serious policy of the government and all parties of rice agribusiness in order to save rice farmers and the national food security

    Potential Feasibility Study of Creating a Small Company That Produces Tomato Paste in Ambatondrazaka District

    This research proposes a complete study of project development by analyzing the starting point, situation, before studying the feasibility of the project, creation of a small company that produces tomato paste in the district of Ambatondrazaka-Madagascar, regarding technical and technological, market and marketing, managerial, financial, and environmental aspects. The situation analysis highlighted that there are six opportunities and two strengths that lead into the creation of the company. However, some alternatives such as working closely with farmers, through the establishment of contracts, building good relationship with regional and central governments, training the company’s manager and personnel, and finding places for tomato cultivation during the raining season should be applied by the company to overcome the situation’s weaknesses and threats. The technical and technological, managerial, financial, and environmental analysis showed that the creation of the company is feasible. However, the market and marketing analysis pointed out that the company should adopt an effective marketing strategy for increasing its local and regional sales

    The communities in mangrove ecosystem all around the world mostly have been undergoing the common condition as to environmental degradation that happens to their ecosystems. Community as a unit of people in specific boundary at least explains about the long way adaptation process of local dwellers in facing the local environmental changing. Those serial and repeating process afford indigenous knowledge as to how to survive, how their ecosystem to be as the present condition as well as how their ecosystem suppose to be. Their adaptation efforts should be given a special place to develop local economy based environment conservation, and those experiences can be an insertion for global development which has similar circumstances that local dwellers ought to be given a place to reveal their capacities to develop their self-ecosystem. Regarding to the considerations,  this research was aimed to find the indigenous knowledge of Ujung Alang Village dwellers and social economic barriers related to the mangrove forest in fostering local green economy.The basic method of this research was analytical description. This research was carried out in Ujung Alang Village, Kampung Laut Sub-district, Cilacap District, Central Java Province, Indonesia that included in Segara Anakan Lagoon territory by involving 42 local dwellers as respondents that were taken randomly, and 6 dwellers  as informants that were taken purposely. Ujung Alang Village settles in mangrove forest ecosystem of Segara Anakan Lagoon which has been undergoing environmental degradation. Data were collected through interview, observation and recording. Data about local indigenous knowledge were analyzed by using qualitative method, and data about social economic barriers were analyzed by using quantitative method as Cochrant-Q Test and Chi Square which were supported by using qualitative method.The research findings  show that Ujung Alang dwellers obviously have knowledge about kinds of mangrove and its characteristics as well as have capacity as to the method in growing the mangrove crops based on each species characteristic nevertheless it is not yet applied and optimized well, and it is so much bad for the sustainability of their livelihood and environment which have strong interdependency each other that obviously conduces the diminishing of their incomes and waters landscape. Although their intensities in mangrove  deforestation tend to decrease, yet they have been doing the deforestation in order to accomplish their needs of firewood and building material otherwise their needs of mangrove conversion to be brackish water ponds and woods trading have not been the prominent consideration at the present. The social economic barriers which hamper the involvement of the dwellers in replanting the mangrove crops are government support, financial support, dweller‟s spare time, local organization, empowerment program and supporting social system. The most hampering (weighting) factor to the dwellers in replanting the mangrove crops is financial support.Key words: indigenous knowledge, mangrove deforestation, green economy and replantin

    Analysis of Export Demand for Indonesian Agricultural Commodities by the Chinese Market

    China is one of the main export destination of Indonesian agricultural commodities. Nevertheless, the export trend of Indonesian agricultural commodities to China during  2012-2016 tend to declined, therefore it is necessary to analyze it. This research aimed to analyze the determinant of Indonesian agricultural commodities export demand by China. Indonesian agricultural commodities export demand was estimated using a regression model on panel data. Panel data in this research consisted of ten data of Indonesian agricultural commodities export to China during 1999-2016 period. The results showed that Indonesian agricultural commodities export demand by China was significantly influenced by real GDP per capita of China, real exchange rate, export price of agricultural commodities and import tariff of agricultural commodities in China.An increasing in real GDP per capita lead an increase in Indonesian agricultural commodities export demand. The depreciation of Rupiah which was expected to increase export demand, but in this research it decreased Indonesian agricultural commodities export demand from China.In addition, Indonesian agricultural commodities export demand tend to increased despite the export prices of agricultural commodities and import tariffs of agricultural commodities in China increased.</span

    Center for Integrated Farming in Agribusiness Regency Sukoharjo is one of centers in the Sukoharjo Regency potential number of units SME’s agribusiness, which has considerable potential to further developed forward. The research method is implemented with the survey and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The results showed stakeholders performance within Integrated Agricultural Cluster development seen from the achievement of the results of the institutional activities that had been undertaken by related agencies involved in the Integrated Agriculture cluster development in Sukoharjo, Sukoharjo Regency FEDEP, among others, the Bappeda Sukoharjo Regency, local Government of Sukoharjo through service related, and Agricultural Cluster Integrated Rembug Forum as targets of mentoring activities during this FEDEP is enough well, though still not optimal. The role of BDS (Business Development Service) as escort agency nor an escort FEDEP Integrated Agricultural Cluster during this already plays well. The role of the College during this already good. While the role of financing institution has also been good, especially Banking as long as it's been good in support of cluster development in integrated agricultural. The role of the association profession and non government (NGO) in Sukoharjo Regency have already good much seen in Integrated Agriculture cluster development Sukoharjo Regency . Determinants of the success of the integrated Agriculture Cluster, among others, specialization, research and development capacity, knowledge and skills, human resource development, networking and social capital, proximity to suppliers, capital availability, the soul of entrepreneurship, as well as leadership and shared vision. Determinants of the success of the integrated Agriculture Cluster, among others, specialization, research and development capacity, knowledge and skills, human resource development, networking and social capital, proximity to suppliers, capital availability, the soul of entrepreneurship, as well as leadership and shared vision. Some of the determinants of the success of the cluster has been running quite well for example in terms of networking and social capital, proximity to suppliers, and the spirit of entrepreneurship, while other factors are still not running optimally. Suggestions in this study include 1). Capacity building of institutional FEDEP and Agricultural Integrated Cluster Forum Sukoharjo Regency, 2) upgrade human resource in Cluster of integrated Farming, with a wide range of training courses is gradually and continuously, intensively involved with the College and the state-owned enterprises as well as private owned companies, and 3). Network Development efforts on Integrated Agricultural Cluster through the integrated system between the sub cluster, through cooperation between the sub cluster associated with the provision of raw materials, production technology, product innovation, product quality standards (certification), institutional, and product marketing, with facilitation and mentoring of stakeholders associated within FEDEP Sukoharjo Regency.     Penentuan komoditas unggulan merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan dalam pengembangan sektor pertanian. Untuk itu pemerintah daerah harus memiliki prioritas dalam pengembangan komoditas yang memiliki keunggulan komparatif dan keunggulan kompetitif. Komoditas sayuran merupakan salah satu komoditas yang mampu meningkatkan pendapatan petani dan mengungkit pertumbuhan daerah. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan komoditas sayuran unggulan di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif analitis dengan metode pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2022. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder berupa data produksi masing-masing komoditas. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share Analysis (SSA), dan proses overlay. Analisis Location Quotient (LQ) digunakan untuk menentukan komoditas yang memiliki keunggulan komparatif, sedangkan Shift Share Analysis (SSA) digunakan untuk menentukan komoditas yang memiliki keunggulan kompetitif. Dari overlay kedua analisis ini diperoleh hasil komoditas sayuran unggulan yang diprioritaskan untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Komoditas sayuran unggulan dan wilayah kecamatan pengembangannya adalah bawang merah (Giriwoyo, Baturetno, Selogiri, Bulukerto, Jatisrono, dan Jatipurno), cabai rawit (Giritontro, Giriwoyo, Karangtengah, Ngadirojo, dan Kismantoro), cabai besar (Pracimantoro, Giriwoyo, Manyaran, dan Jatipurno), terong (Giritontro, Karangtengah, dan Selogiri) dan kacang panjang (Karangtengah, Selogiri dan Slogohimo)

The population in this study were customers of Cold n’ Brew in Surakarta. Using Purposive sampling, the sample in this study was 1000 respondents.
