KARAKTERISTIK KITAB TAFSIR AL-MUSH\AF AL-MUFASSAR KARYA MUHAMMAD FARID WAJDI
Skripsi ini berjudul “Karakteristik Kitab Tafsir al-Mushaf al-Mufassar
Karya Muhammad Farid Wajdi”. Sedangkan untuk masalah yang diteliti adalah
Karakteristik karya tafsir Muhammad Farid Wajdi. Selain itu penulis juga
mencoba untuk mengungkap alasan-alasan Muhammad Farid Wajdi menerapkan
karakteristik tersebut di dalam kitab al-Mushaf al-Mufassar. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kitab al-Mushaf al-Mufassar beserta
alasan penggunaannya. Guna menjawab permasalahan dan mencapai tujuan yang
dimaksud, maka penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis dan
hermeneutika triadik.
Adapun sifat penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka (library research).
Dalam prosesnya, penulis menggunakan dua kategori sumber data, sumber data
primer dan sekunder. Sumber data primer adalah kitab al-Mushaf al-Mufassar
karya Muhammad Farid Wajdi itu sendiri, sedangkan sumber data sekunder terdiri
atas kitab-kitab tafsir untuk perbandingan, buku-buku, karya ilmiyah dan sumber
lain yang berkaitan dengan masalah ini.
Menjawab persoalan di atas, penulis menemukan beberapa hal mengenai
karakteristik al-Mushaf al-Mufassar Pertama, karakter al-Mushaf al-Mufassar
tercermin pada dua aspek: (1) postur tafsir yang simpel dan lugas dengan corak
tekstual-lughawi yang dikemas secara ijmali. Postur tafsirnya yang simpel dan
lugas tersebut dapat ditengarai pada setiap bahasan tafsirnya selalu disajikan
dalam satu halaman tuntas, tidak lebih. Selain itu, layout penulisan dan penyajian
tafsirnya pun lebih berorientasi pada kemudahan dan kenyamanan bagi pembaca,
yakni adanya penempatan secara proporsional antara teks ayat yang hendak
ditafsirkan, tafsir al-alfaz\ dan tafsir al-ma’ani: teks ayat disajikan secara mushafi,
sementara tafsir al-alfaz\ ditempatkan persis di bagian samping sebagai hawamisy,
sedangkan tafsir al-ma’ani ditempatkan di bagian bawah sebagai tafsiran makna
ayat secara global; (2) struktur dan gaya bahasa tafsir yang sederhana. Bahasa
tafsir yang lugas, tidak bertele-tele. Bahkan kerap menggunakan struktur
kebahasaan Al-Qur’an itu sendiri.
Kedua, penggunaan karakter postur dan bahasa tafsir yang simpel dan
lugas tersebut, di satu sisi bisa dikatakan sebagai kritik atas tradisi tafsir sebelumsebelumnya,
dan di sisi lain sebagai bagian dari strategi M. Farid Wajdi dalam

From Rabi'a to Ibn al-Farid : towards some paradigms of the Sufi conception of love
This thesis aims to investigate the significance of Divine Love in the Islamic tradition with reference to Sufis who used the medium of Arabic to communicate their ideas. Divine Love means the mutual love between God and man. It is
commonly accepted that the Sufis were the forerunners in writing about Divine Love. However, there is a relative paucity of literature regarding the details of their conceptions of Love. Therefore, this attempt can be considered as one of the first of its kind in this field.
The first chapter will attempt to define the nature of love from various perspectives, such as, psychology, Islamic philosophy and theology. The roots of Divine Love in relation to human love will be explored in the context of the ideas that were prevalent amongst the Sufi authors regarded as authorities; for example, al-Qushayri, al-Hujwiri and al-Kalabadhi.
The second chapter investigates the origins Of Sufism with a view to establishing the role that Divine Love played in this. The etymological derivations of the term Sufi will be referred to as well as some early Sufi writings.
It is an undeniable fact that the Qur'an and tladith are the bedrocks of the Islamic religion, and all Muslims seek to justify their ideas with reference to them. This
was especially true for the Sufis. The third and fourth chapters will, therefore, focus on the concept of Divine Love in the textual sources of Islam in order to
determine the role that these played in the development of the Sufi conceptions of love in general.
Having highlighted the origins and general context of Divine Love, the following five chapters will focus on selected Sufis whose contributions can be regarded
as significant, original and representative of the Sufi tradition. The exclusive characteristics of each Sufi's concept of love will be analysed and an attempt will be made to present them as a paradigm of Sufi love. The paradigms of love of the following Sufis will be presented: Rabi`a, al-I-Jallaj, al-Ghazäli, Ibn 'Arabi and Ibn al-F5ricl. The concluding chapter will provide a synthesis of these paradigms of love by putting forward a framework which identifies the key stages in the development of the Sufi paradigm of love.
Regarding the scope and limitations of this study, it should not be seen as a historical or biographical research. The historical analysis and information are
presented merely to give some insight into the social and historical context of the Sufi's time. The primary aim of this research is to establish the different paradigms of love of the Sufis referred to above, by analysing the exclusive motives specific to each paradigm.
Finally, this research is by no means a comprehensive account of the Sufi paradigms of love. The development of the thesis showed that this research can be approached from many different angles. For example, the concept of love is
closely associated with the concept of ma`rifia, and the concept of God. The relationship of the two with the concept of love is a possible area of further research. In addition, the historical information available on each individual Sufi provides ample material for a detailed study of the concept of love in that particular Sufis paradigm. This work provides a general framework for further
studies
Metode dakwah bil lisan Habib Muhammad bin Farid Al Mutohhar pada jamaah pengajian KARIM (Kajian Remaja Islam Mingguan) di Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah
Penelitian ini ditulis oleh Muhammad Sadam Husen (1601036039) dengan judul “Metode Dakwah Bil Lisan Habib Muhammad bin Farid Al Mutohhar Pada Jamaah Pengajian KARIM (Kajian Remaja Islam Mingguan) Di Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah ” merupakan upaya penulis untuk mengetahui bagaimana metode dakwah Bil Lisan Habib Muhammad bin Farid Al Mutohhar Pada Jamaah Pengajian KARIM (Kajian Remaja Islam Mingguan) Di Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah yang berfokus pada proses pelaksanaan dakwah Bil Lisan oleh Habib Muhammad bin Farid Al Mutohhar dalam meningkatkan pemahaman agama serta tanggapan Jamaah Pengajian KARIM (KBajian Remaja Islam Mingguan) Di Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Beragamnya bentuk dan metode dalam menyampaikan ajaran agama Islam saat ini, melatar belakangi peneliti untuk melaksanakan penelitian yang bersifat kualitatif studi tokoh dengan penyajian naratif diskriptif. Peneliti melakukan penelitiannya dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan cara observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi yang diproleh di lapangan. Data yang digunakan merupakan data primer dan sekunder yang melalui tahaapan pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian dan verifikasi sehingga dapat menghasilkan kesimpulan.
Pada penelitian ini menunjukan hasil bahwa Penerapan metode metode dakwah Bil Lisan Habib Muhammad bin Farid Al Mutohhar pada Jamaah Pengajian KARIM (Kajian Remaja Islam Mingguan) Di Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah secara umum sudah baik, karena penerapan gaya bahasa dalam penyampaian dakwah berdasarkan Al-Quran serta pengaplikasian prinsip-prinsip dalam dakwah bil lisan yang meliputi bil hikmah (dengan hikmah), bil mau’idzah hasanah (dengan pelajaran yang baik) dan mujaddalah (mendebat dengan baik)
Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s Contribution to the 20th Century Nusantara-Haramain Ulama Intellectual Network in Manuscript Al-'Iqdu al-Farid min Jawahir al-Asanid
This study examines the intellectual network of Nusantara ulama (Muslim scholars) through the chain of transmission (sanad) found in Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s al-Iqdu al-Farid min Jawahir al-Asanid. Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani was a prominent Muslim scholar in Mecca and of Minangkabau descent. He was renowned for his extensive knowledge of the intellectual networks of Muslim scholars worldwide in the 20th century. Hence, this study investigates Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s contributions to the intellectual network of Nusantara scholars with the scholars of Haramain, focusing on the manuscript al-Iqdu al-Farid min Jawahir al-Asanid. This study utilized a literature review to analyze Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s contributions and his manuscript. The findings of this research explain that Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s al-Iqdu al-Farid min Jawahir al-Asanid provides crucial information regarding the intellectual network of Nusantara ulama with those in Haramain and the Middle East in the 20th century. It successfully revealed their expertise in various Islamic studies disciplines and their contributions to scholarly development

Poems of Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghaly Ba
This volume contains seven poems handwritten by Muhammad al-Ghāli Ba. According to the author's son, Mountaga Ba, the poems were probably composed in the mid-1970s a time when the author lived in Mauritania, while working at the country's national radio station and serving as a special counsel to then president Moktar Ould Daddah (1924–2003). The poems adress various issues. The first is a call to action addressed to the Mauritianian youth, urging them to join in the collective work for the development of the country. The second poem is a hagiography on Ceerno Ahmad Nene Ba of Kaedi (Mauritania). The poem eulogizes the virtues of the patron. The third describes the event of Sharif Muhammad al-Habib's visit to the region of Fuuta region (Senegal), namely the village of Pate Galo. The fourth poem contains greetings and expresions of love addressed to the author's friends in the town of Kaedi. The fifth poem is a remembrance about good times. The author reminisces and praises the qualities of a woman named Jaari.The sixth poem describes one afternoon journey of the author. The seventh poem is a mournful praisesong in which the author laments the loss of a cherished person.Ce volume contient sept poèmes manuscrits de Muhammad al-Ghāli Ba. The Hajj : past, present and future: the communication aspect
It is the aim of this thesis to investigate the work of the Saudi Arabian media and the information services in relation to the Hajj, to examine their policies, procedures and problems faced by them, and to propose solutions and improvements. The basic objective of this study during the Hajj is to examine how the Saudi Arabian media can serve more effectively the needs of the pilgrims, with their different cultures and languages.
An historical examination of the evolution of the Hajj, the services and the media form the background and context for the examination of the current position. The following
research methods were adopted:
1- Group discussions and interviews were carried out amongsts ome of the Islamic media visiting the Hajj in order to highlight any problems and concerns
about the work of the Saudi Arabian media during the Hajj.
2- A content analysis of the Saudi Arabian newspapers
during the Hajj season was carried out using a quota sampling procedure. In total 434 articles were studied using nine coding categories.
3- The content and form of Saudi Arabian radio and television programmes, Hajj handbooks,cassettes and video tapes provided for the pilgrims were analysed.
4- The daily routine of the average pilgrim during the 1993 Hajj season was observed.
This work is divided into eight chapters. The Introduction (Chapter One) covers a statement of the problems, aims of the study and gives the various sources of information. In Chapter Two the historical background of the city of Mecca and the Kaaba is discussed, thus providing the historical aspects of the Hajj. The Saudi Arabian Royal Family and the Hajj are discussedin Chapter Three with respect to the importance of the Hajj as a religious obligation. Chapter Four examines the present Saudi Arabian official Hajj policy and procedures, the ministries and committees administering the Hajj and their terms of reference, and specific problems related to the Muslim calendar, weather, transport, accommodation, food, health, and security. Chapter Five is' devoted to the development of the Saudi Arabian media and their coverage of the Hau. Chapter
Six analyses the problems which face the Saudi Arabian media during the Hai. Chapter Seven deals with proposed solutions. Finally, conclusions are presented regarding the
main features of the present communication systems with regard to the coverage of the Hajj.
There are nine major findings in this study:
1- Much has been written on the history of the two Holy cities of Mecca and al-Madina and Arabia's Hajj before and under the Islam, but little attention has been paid to the communication aspects of information and instruction
available to the pilgrims.
2- The Saudi Arabian media strives to cater for all the pilgrims during their Haij.
3- The Pilgrims, however need more and better targeted information before, as well as after, their arrival in Saudi Arabia.
4- Most of the pilgrims have no radio or television sets in their buildings and so they are not directly exposed to Saudi Arabian Information.
5- The Saudi Arabian Hajj newspapers provide special information supplements, but these are not as effective as had been hoped.
6- The Islamic media delegation which visit Saudi Arabia during the Hajj believes that the Saudi Arabian media does not serve the pilgrims from different cultures adequately as there is a lack of programme targeting and a shortage of
information for non arabic speaking pilgrims.
7- The Saudi Arabian television channels are unable, as yet, to provide services in the main pilgrims' languages, but new technologies should be able to redress this.
8- The Saudi Arabian Radio and TV stations need better scheduling.
9- No systematic study has yet been carried out about the pilgrims' attitudes, their daily movements, access and reaction to the Saudi Arabian Media during the Hail: such a study should form the basis of future media and information
policies

al-Misbāh fī al-Nahw By Nāsir al-Dīn al-Mutarrizī al-Nahwī (d. 610/1213) A Critical Edition of the Text with the Life History of the Author
Nāsir al-Dīn al-Mutarrizī al-Nahwī (d.610/1213) was one of the most renowned figures in the field of Arabic Grammar. He has left an indelible mark on the world of Arabic language and literature. He is also known as the successor of al-Zamakhsharī.
He wrote a number of books but his al-Misbāh fī al-Nahw gained prominence at a level that no other book in this field could claim to achieve. For this reason, a great number of commentaries have been written in every age, of which the most famous are al-Daw and Khulāsat al-I‘rāb written by Tāj al-Dīn al-Isfrā’īnī and ‘Abd al- Karīm al-Tūsī (better known as Hājjī Bābā) respectively. Moreover, its translation into other languages also demonstrates its value as a useful book.
Although al-Misbāh has been edited on more than one occasion, the published editions do not fulfil the needs and requirements of modern academic research criteria. The basic aim of this thesis is to present this book with a current modern research style so that the students, teachers and ordinary readers of Arabic language and literature may benefit from this work.
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the life history of the author and his other works. A brief note of the environment under which he grew up (generally referred to as the ‘Seljuk’ period) is also included in this part.
The second part consists of a text edition that deals with the derivation (Takhrīj) of syntactical issues together with the differing opinions of grammarians on syntactical/grammatical issues. This part also proffers the idiomatic English translation of al-Misbāh
Nilai Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Kitab Washaya Al-Aba’ Li Al-Abna Karya Muhammad Syakir Al-Iskandari
This research aims to identify the character education values contained in the book Washaya al-Aba' li al-Abna Muhammad Syakir and the role of his opinion on the richness of character education values. It is hoped that this research can be used as a source or reference in efforts to develop education and character as a whole, especially character education according to Islam. It can also be used as a reference to facilitate understanding of character education and as a reference for relevant research in the future. This research method is qualitative and uses a narrative biography method. By using a descriptive presentation approach, this autobiography of the character's thoughts combines the ideas of character education from his work. Library research, or library research, is a research method that involves books, articles, notes and electronic media. with primary sources from the book Washaya al Aba Li al-Abna and secondary sources from study books. In this research, data collection was carried out through the documentation method, which includes searching for data through variables such as notes, books, and articles, among others. The author used a content analysis study to analyze the data; they analyzed the data textually based on the contents of the book. The research results show that the book Washaya al Aba Li al-Abna contains 17 educational character values, divided into two categories: 10 character values fall into the moral category and 7 character values fall into the performance category. Faith and piety, love and obedience to the Messenger of Allah, respect for parents, respect for teachers, truth or honesty, nobility or self-respect, patience, sincerity and a simple life are moral characters. Performance characteristics also include trust, discipline, hard work, never giving up, love of the country, interest in reading or literacy knowledge, and concern for the environment
