Abstract : This work is a historical narrative about juridical ideas of Professor Miguel Reale, a brasilian jurist and philosopher, from the time he became involved with the political movement known as ?Integralismo? (1933) until the publication of ?Filosofia do Direito? (1953). This research was based on my interpretation of Reale?s memories (?Memórias?, from 1987), in comparison with his works about ?Integralismo?, Theory of Law, Theory of State, Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law. In adition to this, it contains an empirical research about ?Acção?, an integralist newspaper directed by Reale between 1936 and 1938. Nowadays, this material is microfilmed in the ?Arquivo Público do Estado de São Paulo?, the State of São Paulo?s Public Archive. The intellectual and political trajectories of the author were analyzed altogether, through the methods of historiography and sociology of intellectuals. Some analytical categories created by Michel Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu were used to achieve this purpose

Introduction: Understanding and Studying Meditation
The purpose of this chapter is twofold. First, it explores the different meanings of meditation and its varieties across Eastern and Western traditions, including the more recent therapeutic developments. Using a Meditation Tree image, specifically created for this volume, the chapter gives examples of practices from these traditions that rely on multiple techniques, such as concentration, recitation, breathing, singing, and visualization of physical or mental objects, among others. It highlights the richness of practices but equally of experiences and expected goals, which have led to debates and tensions among meditation experts and movements for over two thousand years. Second, the chapter summarizes the structure of this volume and the major achievements in the study of meditation, as well as current limitations and controversies
Extreme Microbiology at Laguna Socompa: A High-Altitude Andean Lake (3570 m a.s.l.) in Salta, Argentina
UV irradiation and the effect on microbial diversity and ecological impact was studied in Laguna Socompa, a hypersaline and moderate alkaline lake located at 3570 m a.s.l. at the base of the active Socompa volcano. The microbialites thriving on its shore are the highest on Earth, which exhibit an atypical microbial community with abundant representatives of Deinococcus–Thermus, Rhodobacteraceae, Desulfobacterales, and Spirochaetes. Their metagenome showed a high proportion of sequences depicting less than 80% identity to the best hit in the NCBI database, an indication of novel distant lineages. Several bacterial and archaeal strains from Socompa stromatolites were isolated, physiologically characterized, and subjected to genome pyrosequencing. Screening of the genomes of these strains, i.e., Exiguobacterium sp. S17, Sphingomonas sp. S17, Nesterenkonia sp. Act20, and Salinivibrio spp., yielded genes putatively encoding essential traits for survival under multiple extreme environmental conditions, e.g., high levels of UV radiation, elevated salinity, and the presence of poisonous arsenic concentrations. Thus, the study of microbes associated with Socompa stromatolites and their environment opens a window to the past by providing a modern analog to their Precambrian counterparts. On the other hand, they serve as models for further understanding of adaptation and the function of proteins under extremely harsh conditions, offering a biotechnological interest. In this chapter, we compared the microbial diversity of the different microbial niches found in Laguna Socompa (3570 m a.s.l.), i.e., lake water, sediments, stromatolites, and soil surrounding the lake. [EN] The author proffers an overview of Miguel de Unamuno's ideological approach to aestethics based on a brief compilation of the numerous reflections about aesthetic emotions and perceptions present in his work when confronted with landscape or with the various forms of artistic expression
Un homenaje a Miguel Reale (1910-2006)
This article pays homage to the intellectual journey of Miguel REALE and to the unquestionable relevance of his contributions to philosophy of law. Not only did REALE combine the duality between thought and action in his philosophy, but also their mutual implication, convinced as he was that the starting point for the practice of philosophy of law resides in the jurist’s experience. Among his most remarkable contributions the author points out REALE’S three-dimensionalism, in which the sociological perspective of the fact, the philosophical perspective of the value of the fair and the perspective of the norm in the scope of legal dogmatics are brought together in a continuous interrelationship and interdependence. In addition, the author shows some contributions in which REALE’S three-dimensionalism offers new means of understanding.
This Architecture and Urbanism Final Course Project presents an action-livingresearch conducted in the Aldeia São Miguel, Potiguara Indigenous Land of Paraíba.
Starting from an autobiographical and counter-colonial approach, the study unfolds
from the extension project 'Building the Territorial and Environmental Management
Plan: Aldeia São Miguel - Baía da Traição'
, linked to the Interdisciplinary Research
Group on Culture, Society and Environment (GIPCSA) and the Curica Indigenous
Socioenvironmental Association (Rede Curica), in partnership with local collectives
and associations, such as the Nhembo’e Katu Collective, Paraibamel and Casa da Lua,
and other parts of the Potiguara Territory and civil society in general. The
investigation problematizes the socio-environmental impacts in the São Miguel
Village, such as colonial and modernizing urbanization, exploitative tourism, and the
deforestation caused by the sugarcane plantation, which generate conflicts and
threaten the sociocultural and economic reproduction of this People-Territory.
Through the weaving of diagnostics and discussions about local territoriality, this
essay aims to develop theoretical, philosophical, and propositional subsidies for the
Territorial and Environmental Management of São Miguel Village. The methodology,
conceptualized as 'playing at the roça' (playing in the swidden), is a rhizomatic
exercise that articulates social cartography, ethnomapping, ethnographic research,
participant observation, and write-living. Through ethnomapping workshops,
dialogical walks, and community immersion, the work records the worldviews,
demands, and dreams of the Potiguara of São Miguel. The theoretical foundation is
anchored in Global South epistemologies and Afro-Amerindian ancestral knowledge,
dialoguing with concepts such as Good Living (Buen Vivir), counter-coloniality, and
body-territory. The results materialize in three main axes: the technical-sensitiveEste Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso em Arquitetura e Urbanismo apresenta uma
