COMBATING FINANCIAL CORRUPTION IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE NOBLE QUR’AN: A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN THE AL-AZHÂR INTERPRETATION AND THE AL-MISBÂH INTERPRETATION

Bu çalışma, Buya Hamke ve Kureyş Şehab'ın katkısının Güneydoğu Asya'daki çağdaş tercümanların bir modeli olduğu ve Kur'an'ın mali yolsuzlukla ilgili ayetlerini yorumlamada aralarında birçok benzerlik ve farklılık olduğu sonucuna varmıştır.Financial corruption is one of the most serious problems that occurred throughout the ages, and therefore the Holy Qur'an took great care of this issue, as this issue occurred since the time of our master Adam, peace be upon him, because both Cain and Abel gave alms to God Almighty, so God accepted Abel's alms; for his honesty and sincerity, and did not accept the charity of Cain; For his bad intentions, and his lack of piety. This research came to remind the nation and alert it of its Quranic approach to combating this phenomenon of financial corruption. Because the research is a Quranic theoretical study to address financial corruption from the perspective of the Holy Qur'an, the study combines the inductive and comparative approach through the two interpretations, which are the interpretation of Al-Azhar by Abd al-Malik Amrullah, known as "Buya Hamka" and the interpretation of Al-Misbah by Muhammad Quraish Syihab, who are two of the famous interpreters in Indonesia. Both of them discussed this issue in their interpretation and took great care of it. This research aims to explain the seriousness of this disease of corruption, so that this study addresses its issues from the perspective of the Holy Quran, and contributes to correcting the reality of the nation with what it has reached of financial corruption, including the individual and the group. This study concluded that the contribution of Buya Hamka and Quraish Syihab is a model of contemporary interpreters in Southeast Asia, and there are several similarities and differences between them in interpreting the verses of the Qur'an related to financial corruption
Revelation-Based Educational Transformation: Exploring the Principles of the Qur\u27an in the Dynamics of Islamic Education
This study aims to examine the transformative role of revelation-based education by exploring the principles of the Qur’an and their relevance to the dynamics of contemporary Islamic education. The scope of the study encompasses philosophical, normative, and practical dimensions of Qur’anic principles in shaping a holistic paradigm of Islamic education. The research employs a library research method with a content analysis approach to Qur’anic verses related to educational principles, supported by classical and modern Islamic educational literature. The findings indicate that Qur’anic principles, such as monotheism (tawhid), justice, responsibility, and the development of human potential play a significant role in promoting a more integrative, humanistic, and adaptive transformation of Islamic education in response to contemporary challenges. The novelty of this research lies in its systematic effort to link the principles of revelation with the concept of educational transformation, thereby positioning the Qur’an not only as a normative source of values but also as a dynamic foundation for formulating new directions in Islamic education.This study aims to examine the transformative role of revelation-based education by exploring the principles of the Qur’an and their relevance to the dynamics of contemporary Islamic education. Marriage Between Religions Based on Human Rights Perspectives
The controversy over religious marriages is still a matter of legitimate recognition by the state. The provisions of this regulation have not been explicitly regulated in the Act No. 16 of 2019 on the Amendment of the Regulation of the Law No. 1 of 1974. So researchers are interested to know the establishment of marriages of different religions based on the human rights perspective in the decision of the Supreme Court No. 1400K/Pdt/1986. This research is analytically descriptive, with an empirical jurisprudential approach and using the type of library research, to describe in depth about the topic of marriage from a different religious perspective through the understanding of concepts, understanding marriage rules, analyzing and concluding the results of research. So it is concluded that this problem does not have a point of legal clarity and creates a legal vacuum, so that this practice does not get a place in the eyes of the law. This practice of marriage is considered difficult to implement, so not a few people submit to the trust of their partners to carry out the marriage. According to the International DUHAM instrument, marriages of different religions are deemed to violate the right of every human being to enter into marriage. Muhammed El-Kürdî'nin Hâşıye Alâ İmtihâni’l-Ezkiyâ’ isimli eserinin tahkik ve değerlendirmesi
Muhammed El-Kürdî'nin Hâşıye Alâ İmtihâni’l-Ezkiyâ isimli eseri Arap dili grameri bakımından büyük ehemmiyete haizdir. Çünkü Hâşiye’nin sahibi İmam Kürdi ve (İmtihânü’l-Ezkiyâ’) metninin müellifi İmam Birgivi'nin Arap gramer literatürüne katkı ve tesirleri inkar edilemez. Bu çalışmada, söz konusu el yazması halindeki eser tahkik edlecek ve esere dair bir inceleme sunulacaktır. Çalışmamızda ilk olarak eserin iki nüshası arasında karşılaştırma yaptık:
1. Marmara Üniversitesi Kütüphanesi nüshası, eksiksiz tam bir nüsha olup, el yazmaları bölümünde (675) demirbaş numarasıyla kayıtlıdır.
2. Süleymaniye Kütüphanesi nüshası da eksiksiz tam bir nüsha olup, Giresun bölümünde (157) demirbaş numarasıyla kayıtlıdır.
Sonrasında, araştırmamızı bir giriş ve dört bölüm olarak ayırdık ve şu şekilde yapılandırdık:
1. Giriş: Araştırmanın konusu, yöntemi, özeti, önsöz, rumuz ve kısaltmalar.
2. Birinci Bölüm: Şerh konusu olan İmam Muhammed Kürdi'nin biyografisi.
3. İkinci Bölüm: Kitabın tanıtımını (ismi, muhtevası, yazılış nedeni, nüshalar arasındaki farklar ve şerhteki üslubu).
4. Üçüncü Bölüm: Tahkikte uyguladığımız yöntem.
5. Dördüncü Bölüm: Haşiye metninin tahkiki, âyet-i kerimelerin ve hadis-i şeriflerin tahrici, şiirlerin atıfları, öncü şahsiyetlerin biyografileri, nüshalar arasındaki farkların karşılaştırılması, aralarındaki farkların zikredilmesi, ek notların dipnotlara taşınması ve müellif haşiyesi ile muhakkık haşiyesinin farklılıklarını belirtmek için (minhu) tabirinin kullanımı.This manuscript, "Hashiyat al-Kürdî on Imtihan Al-Azkia", holds significant importance due to the esteemed status of both Imam al-Kürdi, author of the commentary, and Imam Al-Barkiwi, author of the original text "Imtihan Al-Azkia," in the Arabic library. In this abstract, we will provide a brief overview of this work, which we approached as follows:
Initially, we encountered two manuscripts:
1. A complete manuscript from Marmara University, registered as number 675 in the Manuscripts Department.
2. Another complete manuscript from the Sulaymaniyah Library, registered as number 157 in the Giresun section.
Subsequently, our research was structured into an introduction and four chapters as follows:
1. Introduction: Includes subject, method and a summary of the research, introduction, symbols, and abbreviations.
2. Chapter One: Containing a biography of Imam Muhammad al-Kürdi, the author of the commentary, which is the subject of the study.
3. Chapter Two: Provides an introduction to the book its title, content, purpose of writing, and differences between the manuscripts, along with the style of the commentary.
4. Chapter Three: Presenting our research methodology.
5. Chapter Four: It includes the text of the commentary with scholarly verification and citation of Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions, attribution of poetic verses, biographical sketches, comparison of versions, noting differences, in addition to validating marginal notes by relocating them to footnotes, with the mention of the word "from him" to distinguish between the author's commentary and the editor's commentary
Enhancement of phenolic profile and antioxidant activity of black glutinous rice (Oryza sativa var. glutinosa) due to tape fermentation
Black glutinous rice (BGR) naturally contains phenolic compounds in free and conjugated form or bound to the structural matrix, which may affect its bioactivity. The degradation of the matrix cell wall by microbial activity during fermentation may endorse the release of bound phenolic compounds and enhance the availability of the compounds. This study aimed to assess the impact of tape fermentation on the profile of individual phenolic compounds and the antioxidant activity of BGR. Fermentation up to 72 h at 30 °C was performed by adding the cooked BGR with a tape starter (0.3 w/w). The fermentation for over 48 h increased free phenolic compounds while altering the composition of free, free-conjugated, and bound phenolic compounds. In comparison to the initial material, significant enhancement in the level of protocatechuic aldehyde (13 � ), caffeic acid (2 � ), vanillic acid (1 � ), vanillin (1 � ), p-coumaric acid (1 � ), ferulic acid (1 � ), and isoferulic acid (1 � ) was acknowledged in the final fermented product while sinapic and 2,4,6-trihydroxybenzoic acid was merely detected after 24 h of fermentation. As a result, antioxidant activity was also increased notably (p < 0.05) starting from 48 h of fermentation, while principal component analysis revealed that the activity was strongly contributed by 2,4,6-trihydroxybenzoic acid. Henceforth, the resulting tape fermentation of BGR can be considered a source of phenolic compounds that provide high antioxidant activity. © 2023 The Author(s
