No full textResumo El presente artículo busca indagar la recepción que tuvieron en el espacio rioplatense tanto la Constitución de 1812 como la labor de las Cortes de Cádiz, en el proceso político revolucionario que desembocará en la Asamblea General Constituyente del año XIII. El enfoque que utilizaremos parte de entender a ambos procesos constituyentes enmarcados en una misma cultura constitucional hispánica, con un sustrato y lenguaje jurídico similar a ambos lados del Atlántico. Y entendemos que dicha recepción no será solo de los artículos de la Constitución sino también de la labor legislativa de las Cortes, de las discusiones que trajo aparejadas en la prensa y los tratados políticos, integrándose a otros lenguajes y modelos constitucionales que operaban en el espacio rioplatense
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. El liberalismo peninsular ante la cuestión americana
Get PDFSe busca indagar en las posiciones que esgrimieron algunos de los liberales peninsulares más representativos sobre el proceso insurgente americano. En el contexto de la revolución política que vivió el mundo hispánico y la resistencia de la península ante la invasión francesa, la «cuestión americana» se convirtió, a partir de los levantamientos de varias provincias del Nuevo Mundo y las reivindicaciones de la diputación americana en las Cortes extraordinarias de Cádiz, en un problema de primer orden para el liberalismo peninsular. Podemos afirmar sin temor a equivocarnos que existió una fuerte homogeneidad de posiciones en el campo liberal frente a la problemática americana, que entendemos no sólo respondió a principios doctrinarios sino también a situaciones de carácter coyuntural como a intereses de corte corporativo relacionados al grupo social que esta corriente de alguna manera expresaba. Debemos igualmente ma- tizar esta idea porque, como trataremos de demostrar, existían divergencias, en algunos casos significativas, en cómo abordó la «cuestión americana» el grupo liberal peninsular. En el presente artículo se relevan por lo tanto las posiciones que con respecto a la América española sostuvieron cuatro de los liberales peninsulares más representativos: Manuel José Quintana, Alvaro Florez Estrada, José Blanco White y Agustín de Argüelles.This study seeks to investigate the position adopted by some of the most representative liberal Spaniards on the American insurgent process. In the context of the political revolution that the Hispanic world lived and the Peninsula resistance to the French invasion, the «American question» became a major problem for peninsular liberalism as a result of the uprisings in several provinces in the New World and the claims of the American deputation in the extraordinary «Cortes de Cádiz». It can be surely affirmed that the liberal sector was strongly homogeneous regarding the American issue, which might not only responded to doctrinal principles but also to conjunctural situations such as corporate interests related to the social group that this current some how represented. Likewise, this statement should be relativized because, as we will attempt to prove, there were divergences, sometimes significant, in how to address the «American question» within the peninsular liberal group. No full textEl presente artículo estudia la trayectoria que la cuestión de la libertad de imprenta tuvo el mundo hispánico entre los años 1808 y 1812, buscando percibir los vínculos intelectuales entre las elites peninsulares y porteñas. Indagaremos en las intervenciones públicas de las elites letradas tanto en la península como en Buenos Aires, prestando atención fundamentalmente a los procesos de circulación, recepción y apropiación de ideas, legislaciones y lenguajes políticos. Analizaremos también el tratamiento y promulgación por parte de las Cortes gaditanas de la ley de libertad de imprenta, así como los reglamentos dictados por el gobierno porteño, estudiando su implementación en ambos espacios durante los primeros años revolucionarios desde un enfoque comparativo
