No full textThe unpublished writings of Petrônio Rebuá Alves Corrêa, from Mato Grosso, graduated in the first classes of History at UFMS/CPTL, ex-combatant of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force, are memories riddled with critical analysis of governmental and military decisions that directly involved Brazil in the Second World War. Great War, the military hierarchy and the organization/unpreparedness of the Brazilian Army. They also bring a sharp look at the ills and traumas between the civilian population and Brazilian squares. Traumatic memories, such as misery, hunger, mutilations and deaths among civilians, as well as neurosis, waiting, confinement, mutilation and death among the Brazilian military. These are the basis of the narrative of other ex-combatants who have published records of memories. One of the differences noted in Rebuá's writings is the way in which the author places himself in the narrated events. In general, in the memories of Brazil's participation in World War II, ex-combatants place themselves as observers when events are not dignified. Rebuá poses as a participant, sometimes as a
protagonist, including in traumatic events, such as the violence committed against the civilian population of Italy, especially women. The subjectivity of the author-soldier, who died in 2002, inserts the reader into the battlefields of Italy, in the cities, towns and homes of the Italian population in the context of the Second World War.Os escritos inéditos de Petrônio Rebuá Alves Corrêa, mato-grossense, graduado nas primeiras turmas de História da UFMS/CPTL, ex-combatente da Força Expedicionária Brasileira, são memórias crivadas de análise crítica das decisões governamentais e militares que envolveram o Brasil diretamente na Segunda Grande Guerra, da hierarquia militar e da organização/despreparo do Exército Brasileiro. Trazem também um olhar aguçado sobre as mazelas e traumas entre a população civil e os praças brasileiros. Lembranças traumáticas, como a miséria, a fome, as mutilações e mortes entre os civis, bem como a neurose, a espera, o confinamento, a mutilação e a morte entre os militares brasileiros. Essas são a base da narrativa de outros ex-combatentes que publicaram registros de memórias. Uma das diferenças notadas nos escritos de Rebuá está na forma em que o autor se coloca nos acontecimentos narrados. No geral, nas memórias da participação do Brasil na Segunda Guerra os ex-combatentes se colocam como observadores quando de acontecimentos não dignificantes. However, this does not mean that Castro Alves plagiarized Heinrich Heine, the author of the first source. Although both of the poems deal with the same theme, an analysis will show and prove the evident divergency in the convergency.Heinrich Heine und Castro Alves haben Gedichte unter dem gleichen Titel geschrieben: "Das Sklavenschiff" und "O Navio Negreiro". Das bedeutet aber nicht, daß Castro Alves ein Plagiat des Gedichts Heines, des Verfassers der ersten Quelle, begangen hat. Representação da infância em narrativas de Miriam Alves
No full textThis article aims to analyze the representation of childhood in contemporary
Portuguese-language literature and to present how childhood has been narrated in
the works of Miriam Alves. The author focuses mainly on the representation of black
female childhood and, in contrast, on white male childhood, inviting the reader and
analyst to reflect with special attention on the way childhood is treated. In this article,
in addition to fictional works by Miriam Alves, theoretical studies of History, Literature
Theory and Literary Criticism related to the theme were used. Initially, a brief analysis
of mimesis is made in order to shed light on the specificities of the representation of
reality in fictional texts and, later, a general and historical analysis of male and female
black childhood in children's literature is conducted. Thus, it is observed how values
are manufactured within the narratives, which allows us to question how these works resemble reality and how much they can influence the society that welcomes them.
To conclude, the representations of childhood in Miriam Alves' narratives are
analyzed in depth, giving a greater focus on black female identity.O presente artigo pretende analisar a representação da infância na literatura
contemporânea de língua portuguesa e apresentar como a infância tem sido narrada
nas obras de Miriam Alves. A autora foca sobretudo na representação da infância
feminina negra e, em contraste, na infância masculina branca, convidando o leitor e o
analista a refletirem com atenção especial à forma como a infância é tratada. Neste
artigo, além de obras ficcionais de Miriam Alves, foram utilizados estudos teóricos da
História, da Teoria da Literatura e da Crítica Literária relacionados ao tema.
Inicialmente faz-se uma análise breve sobre a mimesis a fim de lançar luz sobre as
especificidades da representação da realidade em textos ficcionais para,
posteriormente, iniciar uma análise geral e histórica sobre a infância negra masculina
e feminina na literatura infantojuvenil. Assim, observa-se de que maneira os valores
são fabricados dentro das narrativas, o que permite questionar de que modo essas
obras se assemelham com a realidade e o quanto elas podem influenciar a
sociedade que as recepciona. Para concluir, analisa-se em profundidade as
representações da infância nas narrativas de Miriam Alves, dando um foco maior na
identidade feminina negra

Multihierarchical electrodes based on titanate nanotubes and zinc oxide nanorods for photoelectrochemical water splitting
No full textStudies involving water splitting to form hydrogen and oxygen have attracted attention because H2 is considered the fuel of the future. Photoelectrocatalysts have been widely used for this application, and several metal oxides can be applied as catalysts. Among them, we highlight zinc oxide nanorods (ZnONRs) and titanate nanotubes (TiNTs); however, their individual nanostructures exhibit disadvantages. For example, ZnONR shows rapid recombination of the photogenerated charges, and TiNT gives rise to randomly orientated films; these disadvantages limit their application as photoanodes. In this study, for the first time, we present a new class of multihierarchical electrodes based on TiNT-decorated ZnONR films that exhibited superior results to the individual species. The TiNTs are homogenously dispersed over the surface of the rods without forming agglomerates, giving rise to a heterojunction that exhibits lower recombination rates. It was found that the results are better when the contents of TiNT in the electrode are higher; thus, glycine was successfully used as a bridge to link both of the structures, increasing the amount of TiNT decorating the rods. As a result, the photocurrent generated with these multihierarchical electrodes is higher than that obtained for pure ZnONR electrodes (0.9 mA and 0.45 mA, respectively), and the electrode potentials for O2 evolution is lower than that observed for pure TiNT electrodes (0 V and 0.8 V vs. ERHE, respectively). The IPCE values are also higher for the multihierarchical electrodes
