Nivå: C–Uppsats i ämnet företagsekonomi Författare: Pontus Eriksson & Aram Amein Handledare: Per–Arne Wikström Datum: 2013-08 Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka vilken påverkan ledarens användning av sex specifika kommunikationsstilar har på de anställdas bild av ledarens prestation. Vi ämnar öka förståelsen för dessa kommunikationsstilars betydelse för upplevd ledarprestation. Metod: Arbetet har utgått från en kvalitativ forskningsmetod. Informationen som samlats in utgör grunden för analysen och slutsatsen. Empirin är insamlad i form av tolv personliga intervjuer, med anställda på medelstora företag som har daglig kontakt med sin ledare. Med grund i problemformuleringen har valen gjorts i den teoretiska referensramen. Vetenskaplig forskning och litteratur som ansetts relevant har valts ut med bakgrund mot syftet. Resultat och slutsats: Denna studie har visat att en ledares kommunikationsstil påverkar de anställdas bild av dennes prestation. Det har också visats att en viss kombination av specifika kommunikationsstilar skapar en viss bild av ledarens prestation. Ledare som har kunskap för detta område skapar sig större förutsättningar för att effektivt kommunicera med sina anställda. Vi tycker att tillämpning av detta område i ledarskapsutbildningar tillför ytterligare dimensioner i lärandet om ledarskapskommunikation. Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Vidare forskning på detta område skulle kunna genomföras genom att utföra deltagande observationer på företag och styra ledarens val av kommunikationsstilar. Jämförelse skulle göras genom intervjuer med de anställda ett flertal gånger under denna period för att sedan sammanställa resultatet. Partner Search Heuristics in the Lab : Stability of Matchings Under Various Preference Structures
No full textWhen agents search for partners, the outcome is a matching. K. Eriksson and O. Häggström (2008)defined a measure of instability of matchings and proved that under a certain partner search heuristic,outcomes are likely to have low instability. They also showed that with regards to stability, the preferencestructure known as common preferences lie somewhere in between the extreme cases of homotypicand antithetical preferences. Following up on this theoretical work, we let human subjectssearch for a good partner in a computer game where preferences were set to be either common,homotypic, or antithetical. We find that total search effort and instability of the outcome vary in thepredicted ways with the preference structure and the number of agents. A set of simulations showthat these results are consistent with a model where agents use a simple search heuristic with a slightpossibility of error.</p

gymanläggningsansvariga platschefer. Resultat: Den sociala ordningen på gym i Malmö förstås som att det råder konsensus på ytan men att denna konsensuskultur endast är
skenbar eftersom motsättningar och sociala problem ändå uppstår.
För detta har kontrollsystem och turordningsregler upprättats vilka
förstås som övervaknings- och disciplineringsanordningar som
omformar misskötsamma Malmöbor till rediga individer.

Purpose: The purpose is to increase our understanding of how social order is
created and maintained at gyms in Malmö.
Method: Ten gym facilities in Malmö have been visited by me personally,
here semi-structured interviews (n=10) were carried out with site-
responsible managers.
Results: The social order at gyms in Malmö is understood by the fact that
there is consensus on the surface but that this consensus culture is
only apparent because contradictions and social problems
nevertheless arise. For this, control systems and ordering measures
have been established which are understood as monitoring and
disciplining devices that transform misleading Malmö residents
into tidy individuals.

Syfte: Syftet är att diskutera det moderna gymmet som fenomen samt förklara och förstå fenomenet utifrån svensk och internationell sociologisk forskningslitteratur.
Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie användes som metod för att svara på syftet. Sökningar utfördes i databaserna ASSIA, SPORTDiscus, SAGE Journals och Sociological abstracts. Funna artiklar (15) kvalitetsgranskades och analyserades.
Resultat: Resultatet visa att stora delar av forskningslitteraturen använde sig av fallstudieforskningsdesign med etnografiska och kvalitativa insamlingsmetoder. Till detta visa resultatet att flera forskare kommit att använda olika systematiska sociologiska teoretiska analyser där Pierre Bourdieus kapitalbegrepp och George Ritzers McDonaldiseringsprocess ofta användes.

Purpose: The purpose is to discuss the modern gym as a phenomenon as well as to explain and understand the phenomenon based on Swedish and international sociological literature.
Method: A systematic literature study was used as a method of responding to the purpose. Searches were carried out in the databases ASSIA, SPORTDiscus, SAGE Journals and Sociological abstracts. Found articles (15) were quality-reviewed and analyzed.
Results: The results show that large parts of the scientific literature used case study research design with ethnographic and qualitative methods. In addition, the results show that several researchers have been using different sociological theoretical analyzes where Pierre Bourdieus capital concept and George Ritzers McDonaldization concepts often are applied.

Woman as a temptation for a monk according to Evagrius of Pontus
No full textThe article presents the teaching of Evagrius of Pontus on women. The author stresses the need to embed evagrian reflection in the context of strict monastic life and asceticism without which a monk of Pontus appears as mizoginist. Evagrius in his texts on women teaches anchorites three things. Firstly, it reminds them that they have chosen the life in the desert and should avoid any encounters with women. They have to stay rather in their cells praying instead of participating the local feasts and games. Secondly, it encourages that during the meetings on the occasion of spiritual direction monks should be extremely prudent and that this task is more proper to the senior monks. Thirdly, it teaches how to cleanse the soul and mind from the images of women
A late thirteenth-century ‘hoard’ of aspra of the Byzantine Empire at Trebizond in Brussels and Oxford (‘Pontus 1960s’): Brüksel ve Oxford’da yer alan bi̇r on üçüncü yüzyil sonuna ai̇t Bi̇zans imparatorluğu/Trabzon aspron defi̇nesi̇ (Pontus 1960’lar)
No full text41 aspra of the Byzantine emperors in Trebizond Manouel I, Ioannes II, and Alexios II (minority), are preserved in the coin collections of Brussels and Oxford and are considered to be part of a ‘hoard’ of possibly Pontic origin. A close analysis of the composition and types -in line with other known hoards and the existing complex typology- combined with other kind of data (metrology and other physical attributes), allows the author to con- clude that one may reasonably assume that the coins were from the same hoarded origin. A date of concealment just before 1300, and an origin in the Pontus, all seem reasonable. The ‘Pontus 1960s’ hoard makes a fundamental contribution to the sequence of issues in the name of Ioannes. It suggests a last phase of minting by this emperor alone, contrary to previous arrangements, with a long labarum and globe on the obverse, combined with different distinctive mintmarks such as the lily/eagle combination (obverse) and different start formations (reverse).

Bu sikkelerin, muh- temelen Pontus kökenli olan bir definenin parçası olduğu düşünülmektedir. Sikkelerin mahiyeti ve sikke tiplerinin (bilinen diğer defineler ve mevcut karmaşık tipolojiye uygun olarak), diğer verilerle (metroloji ve diğer fiziksel özellikler) bir araya getirilmesiyle yapılan bir analiz, yazarın, bu sikkelerin aynı definenin parçası olduğu sonucuna varmasına olanak tanır. Bu doğrultuda, definenin saklanma tarihinin 1300’den hemen önce olması ve köke- ninin Pontus olması makul görünmektedir. ‘Pontus 1960’lar’ definesi, Ioannes adına çıkan olaylar dizisinin anlaşılmasına önemli bir katkı sağlar. Heraclides of Pontus and the Idomeneus Myth
No full textHeraclides of Pontus, a versatile philosopher whose work still remains largely unexplored,
wrote several pieces on Homer including “Solutions of the Homeric problems”, to which some
of the extant fragments are attributed. One of these (F. 171 Wehrli = 99 Schütrumpf) concerns
the Iliad and the Odyssey being discrepant in the number of the cities on Crete: the Catalogue
of Ships refers to the island as ἑκατόμπολιν (Il. 2.649) while Odysseus in his ‘Cretan Lies’
states that people dwell ninety great cities on Crete (Od. 19.174). To explain this inconsistency,
Heraclides tells a dramatic story about Idomeneus which he probably made up himself, being
an eminent author of dialogues and even tragedies (provided that the relevant testimonies are
reliable) with an interest in mythology. His version of Idomeneus’ homecoming was not supported by contemporary historians, and, although later picked up by some poets and scholars,
