The objective of the project was to study injury proneness and its main characteristics. A questionnaire was created to analyze this predisposition (Injury Proneness Questionnaire - IPQ), considering also individual and cognitive factors. The IPQ was applied in studies involving adolescents, adults and elders. In addition, considering the role of attentional and spatial factors in injuries proneness, the relation between spatial skills and attentional problems was studied in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) through a meta-analysis. The IPQ demonstrated good reliability and was significantly related to questionnaires and tests. Cognitive and individual differences significantly influenced injury propensity: injury risk decreased with age, males had injuries more often after risky situations, whereas females after committing errors. Better spatial, attentional and cognitive skills were associated with lower injury predisposition during adolescence but higher in adulthood. The meta-analysis showed that individuals with ADHD, who are characterized by great injury predisposition, struggle with spatial skills. Results suggest that injuries are explained by individual and environmental factors. The objective of the project was to study injury proneness and its main characteristics. Auditory and visual mental imagery in musicians and non-musicians

Mental imagery plays an important role in various contexts of life, involving cognitive resources such as memory, learning, spatial representation, and reasoning. The vividness of mental images depends on different factors, including personal expertise in a certain field. For instance, musicians have been found to possess better auditory imagery abilities than non-musicians for both musical and non-musical sounds. Only a few studies have tried to find out if this advantage is selective for auditory stimuli, however, with contradictory results so far (i.e., some studies supporting an advantage for mental imagery in general and some supporting an advantage for auditory mental imagery in particular). This study therefore investigated auditory and visual mental imagery in individuals with and without formal musical training. Thirty-six formally trained musicians, 33 self-taught musicians, and 33 non-musicians completed two questionnaires assessing the vividness of their auditory and visual..

Though often treated as an objective category, heritage language learner is a social construct contested by researchers, government officials, school administrators, and students themselves. Based on ethnographic fieldwork at a Japanese language school in the US, the book examines the construction of the heritage language learner, viewing the notion as a site of negotiation regarding the legitimate knowledge of language and ways of belonging.Though often treated as an objective category, heritage language learner is a social construct contested by researchers, government officials, school administrators, and students themselves. This thesis analyzes a novel by Anthony Doerr entitled All the Light We Cannot See by using feminist approach. The focus of this research is the impact on sisterhood for women and society survival during World War II in Germany and France as depicted by Doerr in several female characters in the story. This study uses the Image of Women theory by Josephine Donovan about how a male author describes the position of women in his work. The data of this research are analyzed by qualitative methods and the results of the research are presented with descriptive methods. The data of the research is collected from the novel as a primary data along with books, articles, journals, and essays relating to the research. After analyzing the novel, the writer concludes that women build their sisterhood to strengthen each other during World War II by creating good relationship among women, supporting each other to face the war, and resisting war. Then the authors also find three impacts on sisterhood for women and society, they are; braver society, stronger society, and confident society. Doerr also shows to the reader about how the female characters in the novel look powerful as depicted by a small and blind girl who can survive until she gets older. Keywords: Anthony Doerr, Image of Women, World War II, sisterhood
