Narrativas testimoniales como impulso para la revitalización de la historia migratoria y cultural
No full textLa inevitable incursión de la modernidad en las distintas sociedades ha significado el desplazamiento masivo de formas de pensamiento organizadas desde lógicas opuestas a la occidental; un ejemplo de ello: la desaparición de prácticas culturales y formas de conocimiento al interior de los pueblos originarios. Este artículo busca reflexionar en torno a las prácticas pedagógicas y comunitarias gestadas a través de un proyecto social participativo denominado “Nosotros los kichwas”, el cual buscó resarcir la falta de reciprocidad del conocimiento intergeneracional, a través de la revaloración de las narrativas testimoniales de los miembros de la comunidad kichwa de Sesquilé, Colombia. El estudio fue abordado desde cinco etapas: 1) Etapa de inmersión comunitaria, 2) Etapa de constatación y revaloración de la problemática, 3) Etapa de cocreación comunitaria, 4) Etapa de andamiaje y construcción de la herramienta dialógica, y 5) Etapa de socialización y evaluación de la herramienta dialógica, distribuidas a través de una metodología participativa a lo largo de dos años. La intervención demostró que las narrativas testimoniales son capaces de resignificar elementos propios de una cultura, así como revalorar los sentires individuales y colectivos que habitan en la memoria. Como resultado se logró construir una herramienta dialógica e interactiva para las generaciones de niños, niñas y jóvenes que hoy componen la comunidad kichwa, y que precisamente no han tenido acceso al devenir histórico de sus raíces.The inevitable incursion of modernity in different societies has meant the massive displacement of forms of thought organized from logics opposed to the western one; an example of this is the disappearance of cultural practices and forms of knowledge within the native peoples. This article seeks to reflect on the pedagogical and community practices developed through a participatory social project called "We the Kichwa", which sought to compensate for the lack of reciprocity of intergenerational knowledge, through the revaluationof the testimonial narratives of the members of the Kichwa community of Sesquilé, Colombia. The study was approached from 5 stages: 1) Stage of community immersion, 2) Stage of verification and revaluation of the problem, 3) Stage of community co-creation, 4) Stage of scaffolding and construction of the dialogic tool, and 5) Stage of socialization and evaluation of the dialogic tool; distributed through a participatory methodology over a period of two years. The intervention demonstrated that testimonial narratives are capable of re-signifying elements of a culture, as well as revaluing individual and collective feelings that live in memory. As a result, a dialogic and interactive tool was built for the generations of children and young people who today make up the Kichwa community, and who precisely have not had access to the historical development of their roots.Fil: Muñoz Ortiz, Edison Daniel. No full textabstract: The Simon Ortiz and Labriola Center Lecture on Indigenous Land, Culture, and Community addresses topics and issues across disciplines in the arts, humanities, sciences, and politics. Underscoring Indigenous American experiences and perspectives, this Series seeks to create and celebrate knowledge that evolves from an Indigenous worldview that is inclusive and that is applicable to all walks of life.” Professor Simon Ortiz discussed the overall nature of the Series, especially emphasizing the global nature of Indigenous concerns. Joyce Martin and Matthew Harp elaborated on the contributions of the Labriola National American Indian Data Center and ASU Libraries to the Series. The Labriola Center hosts an informal event in Hayden Library which facilitates close interaction between the featured speaker and audience members. The ASU Libraries records the evening lectures which take place at the Heard Museum and presents both an audio podcast and streaming video of each lecture on the ASU Library Channel webpage. This lecture series provides not only a chance for community discussion at the events themselves, but through the innovative use of technology the ASU Libraries enables additional forums for discussion in blogs and web pages which choose to link to the streaming videos.Presented at the Arizona Library Association (AzLA) 2010 conference on November 17, 2010
