Aldo Moro and Enrico Berlinguer
Aldo Moro and Enrico Berlinguer, two of the most well-known exponents of the leading parties—Christian Democracy DC and the Italian Communist Party (PCI)—that were involved in the making of Italian history during the second half of the 1900s, had very different biographical trajectories. Toward the end of the 1970s, these two figures rose to an ever-increasing importance within their parties, and contributed to the creation of a climate which historians have defined in various ways: “strategy of attention” on Moro’s part with regard to the PCI, debate politics, crisis of the convention ad excludendum, and so forth
Le prospettive per il futuro
The chapter forecasts some possible developments of an universitary quarter in Milan (Italy), discussing several critical problems and good social opportunities
XXXII 2636 (Commentary to Pindar?)
This paper re-examines an anonymous commentary to two anonymous lyric texts (possibly by Pindar) preserved by P.Oxy. XXXII 2636. It offers a fresh critical text and apparatus, followed by exegetical notes on several passages. Parallels from Pindaric praise poetry allow a richer reconstruction of the original contents
The essay retracing bitter controversy on legal basis of fiduciary provisions deduced in the will, which saw two young Emanuele Gianturco and Enrico Cimbali oppose each other during early Eighties of Nineteenth century, tries to rethink a category of historical-legal hermeneutics with which the study of Italian juridical science is commonly approached between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, integrating it with one that has a more cultural value. The Italian Legal Realism, in fact, does not want to be a new definition of school but rather a conceptual paradigm for understanding cultural anthropology of an important part of Italian legal thought between one century and another, derived from the hermeneutic approach – eminently practical and prospectively realistic – that the protagonists of our dispute show to share, despite considerable differences that separate their interpretations on admissibility of testamentary trust in Italian civil law.

Fabrication and characterization of hybrid single electron devices
Nowadays DC current metrology is not yet supported by quantum based standards, intrinsically standard that does not require calibration depending only by fundamental constants. This thesis is focused on the modeling and realization of nano-devices for potential applications in DC current metrology. The choice of the fabrication technique is a crucial step for these tricky processes. Two kind of processes have been optimized at INRiM, the first being the most investigated from the 80s, the second being a recently purposed mesoscopic tunnel junction hybrid assembly nanofabrication technique concerning the Focused gallium Ion Beam (FIB) present at Nanofacility Piemonte. The main objective of our experimental activity is to compare the fabrication and characterization competences acquired at INRiM regarding a well documented device, trying , subsequently, to transfer them to a more innovative solution. The first introductory chapter starts with an overview of the so-called metrological triangle binding together volt, ohm and ampere in a fundamental definition of this three SI units; it follows a representative selection of candidate devices for the new definition of the ampere together with a short description of the physics that lies behind them. The second chapter is a detailed presentation of our Hybrid Single Electron Transistor theoretical modeling; its applications in DC current metrology are deeply threated focusing on the intrinsic and technological factors that limit the ultimate reachable accuracy of the presented device. The third chapter is a technical discussion of the two processes we used to fabricate our single electron devices. The first part is a review of our slightly modified version of the quite famous Dolan technique; the second sections is a detailed description of physical and technological principles, foundations for the innovative FIB process. The last chapter presents a set of electrical measurements devoted to a better understanding of our fabrication and characterization processes quality and reproducibility in relation to the well documented single-electronics literature. In appendix a collection of process recipes and instrumentation technical descriptions is presen
P.Oxy. 2174 fr. 5: an Odyssey for Hipponax?
This article re-examines P.Oxy. 2174 fr. 5 (Hipponax fr. 74 West = Degani), offers an improved transcription of its text, and questions its relevance to the other frag- ments of the papyrus, suggesting instead that it may belong to a papyrus of the Odyssey
L’edizione antica delle opere di Archiloco
The article investigates the ancient edition of Archilochus' works. It argues among other things that P.Oxy. 2311 (fr. 48 W.2) represents the first column of the Trimeters and that the Epodes were organised according to metre, from the most iambic (beginning with frr. 172-181 W. 2) to the least iambic (ending with the new fragment preserved by BKT X 11, which was probably entirely dactylic)
