Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru-Guru SMP 33 Solok Selatan Melalui Pelatihan Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Kontekstual Berdasarkan Pendekatan Saintifik
The teacher realizes that learning requires students to be active in building their knowledge, and the teacher acts more as a facilitator and motivator. As a facilitator and motivator in learning activities, teachers are required to always improve their ability to prepare, implement and evaluate learning. The low ability of teachers to develop contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach, even not infrequently the teachers feel they have not understood it to be one of the obstacles faced by teachers in improving the quality of learning. This training activity aims to provide knowledge about contextual learning, scientific approaches and the development of teaching materials, and conduct discussions and mentoring the development of contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach to the teachers of SMPN 33 Solok Selatan. The activities carried out consisted of, (1) Providing knowledge about: (a). Contextual learning, (b) Scientific approach, (c) Development of teaching materials, (2) Guiding teachers for the manufacture of contextual teaching materials (LKPD / LKS) based on a scientific approach. The instrument used was a test of understanding of the material and questionnaire responses of trainees. The data analysis technique used is paired t test and percentage analysis. Based on the analysis of the results of the evaluation conducted it can be concluded, the training carried out has been able to improve the competence of teachers in developing contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach, the training material provided can increase teacher competencies in developing teaching materialsGuru menyadari bahwa belajar menuntut siswa untuk aktif membangun pengetahuan mereka, dan guru bertindak lebih sebagai fasilitator dan motivator. Sebagai fasilitator dan motivator dalam kegiatan belajar, guru dituntut untuk selalu meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam mempersiapkan, melaksanakan dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran. Rendahnya kemampuan guru untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar kontekstual berdasarkan pendekatan saintifik, bahkan tidak jarang para guru merasa mereka belum memahaminya menjadi salah satu kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang pembelajaran kontekstual, pendekatan saintifik dan pengembangan bahan ajar, dan melakukan diskusi dan pembimbingan pengembangan bahan ajar kontekstual berdasarkan pendekatan saintifik pada guru-guru SMPN 33 Solok Selatan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan terdiri dari, (1) Memberikan pengetahuan tentang: (a). Pembelajaran kontekstual, (b) Pendekatan saintifik, (c) Pengembangan bahan ajar, (2) Membimbing guru-guru untuk pembuatan bahan ajar (LKPD/LKS) kontekstual berdasarkan pendekatan saintifik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman terhadap materi dan angket respon peserta pelatihan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t berpasangan dan analisis secara persentase. Berdasarkan analisis dari hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan, pelatihan yang dilakukan telah dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar kontekstual berdasarkan pendekatan saintifik, materi pelatihan yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan bahan aja

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. SEISMIC RATE CHANGES ANALYSIS BASED ON THE SPASIAL DISTRIBUTION SEISMOTECTONICS IN THE SOUTHERN SUMATRA REGION
The southern Sumatra region experiences high seismic activity, often resulting in large earthquakes that cause significant losses. Before such earthquakes, a phenomenon known as seismic quiescence a decrease in seismic activity commonly occurs. This phenomenon can be analyzed through changes in seismic rates using the spatial distribution of Z-values. This study investigates the occurrence of seismic quiescence before major earthquakes and examines changes in seismic rates in southern Sumatra. Used secondary earthquake data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) for 1973–2023 were analyzed, focusing on the region between 2.050°S–5.885°S and 101.030°E–106.611°E. The study centered on three significant earthquakes: the 2000 (7.9 Mw), 2001 (7.4 Mw), and 2007 (8.4 Mw) events. Seismic rate changes were analyzed using the Z-value method, dividing the region into grids to calculate and spatially distribute Z-values. Results showed seismic quiescence before the 2000 (±16 years), 2001 (±13 years), and 2007 (±17 years) earthquakes in Bengkulu. Additionally, similar phenomena were observed in Bengkulu and Lampung before 2023, suggesting the potential for future significant earthquakes in the region. These findings highlight seismic quiescence as a precursor to major seismic events
Analisis Struktur Mikro Nanokomposit Fe3O4/Karbon Aktif dari Limbah Tongkol Jagung
Alternatif untuk mengurangi limbah tongkol jagung adalah dengan memanfaatkan karbon tongkol jagung sebagai bahan anoda pengganti baterai lithium-ion. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis struktur mikro nanokomposit Fe3O4/karbon aktif. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan perbedaan komposisi antara Fe3O4 dan karbon aktif tongkol jagung sebagai variabel bebas. Waktu dan suhu oven, waktu dan suhu furnace, NaOH, etanol, massa karbon dan waktu sintesis dengan HEM sebagai variabel kontrol. Struktur mikro nanokomposit Fe3O4/karbon aktif tongkol jagung sebagai variable terikatnya. Nilai Hasil uji XRD menunjukkan setiap varian memiliki fasa carbon dan iron oxide, serta bentuk kristal cubic, hexagonal, dan orthorhombik. Hasil uji FTIR menghasilkan gugus fungsi tersebut adalah C-H, C=C, dan C-O, sehingga gugus fungsi karbon (C) mengandung oksigen (O) yang menunjukkan bahwa karbon tersebut aktif. Hasil uji SEM pada ketiga variasi menunjukkan rata-rata ukuran partikel kurang dari seratus nanometer. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa karbon aktif tongkol jagung bersifat nanometrik
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
