No full textThere are a number of methods can be applied in giving critics on fine art, one of which is through the art- lover oriented approach. Basically this approach gives emphasis on the meaning of art work is fully determined by the appreciator or the lover himself/herself. This kind of approach has lately become popular particularly in order to understand the meaning of a contemporary art work. Joko Dwi Avianto’s bamboo statue “Harmony of Speed” which is used as the topic of this article is seen by the writer from his own viewpoint as an appreciator of art. The exploration of meaning for this art work makes use of Roland Barthes’ connotative semiotic approach. The connotative meaning of the statue is related to the adoption of modern civilization in traditional life. Facing the modern life, artist community cannot directly refuse or accept it instantly. They should accommodate both aspects (modern and tradition) proportionally. One compromise step is that whatsoever decision you take in art creation, one thing that you should be kept in mind is that you never neglect your own cultural identity
NILAI MORAL DALAM CERPEN “DARI DAPUR BU SEWON” KARYA YUSI AVIANTO PAREANOM (KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)
No full textThe object of research that the author uses is the short story "Dari Dapur Bu
Sewon" by Yusi Avianto Pareanom which was published in 2011. The purpose of
this study is to describe the structural elements of the short story fiction story "Dari
Dapur Bu Sewon"; and the moral values contained in the short story "From the
Kitchen of Bu Sewon". This research study is based on two methods, namely the
structural method to examine the intrinsic elements of the short story and the
sociology of literature to examine the moral values contained in the short story
"Dari Dapur Bu Sewon".
The results of this study indicate that the structure of the short fiction story "Dari
Kitchen Bu Sewon" has one main character, Bu Sewon, and four additional
characters. The flow used is a mixed flow. Judging from the sociological approach
of literature, especially moral values, it consists of honesty, authenticity,
responsibility, humility, realistic and criticism. Honesty is shown when my
character says the taste of Mrs. Sewon's cooking is not good, authentic is shown by
my character and his wife who are still themselves, responsible is shown by my
character and his wife who finishes food from Mrs. Sewon, humility is shown by
Mrs. Sewon who apologizes for her cooking, realistic and criticism is shown by my
character who doesn't just hand over Bu Sewon's cooking to others.

No full textAccording to the current development of artwork in public spaces, sculptures posses a social cultural dimension that cannot be ignored. Attention should be given to restoration and removal of public statues since objects of cultural heritage are related to history and environment. The ever changing social function of space will give impact on the quality of human life. On the other hand, there is a historical dimension that almost never changes. The historical ties refer to the dimension of old spaces within dimension of the current urban spaces. This research focusses on statues that have connection with European art history in Subang Regency as this region was once the Dutch colonial centre for plantation industry in Indonesia. These statues of cultural heritage are known by people in Subang as the statues of Mr Hofland. The Hofland bronze statues are now put in the Museum Wisma Karya Subang as there have been several attemps of stealing them since 1975, and the last attempt was in 2002. Later, these statues were found in damaged condition. Yet, a statue out of three apart from the main statue is still missing.Keywords: Statue, Art, History, Colonial, Plantation________________________________________________________________Berdasarkan perkembangan terakhir karya seni di ruang publik, patung menjadi suatu dimensi sosial budaya yang tidak bisa dikesampingkan. Pemugaran dan pemindahan secara fandal terhadap karya seni patung publik merupakan aktifitas yang patut diperhatikan, mengingat suatu benda cagar budaya memiliki kaitan dengan sejarah dan lingkungannya. Ruang yang terus berubah fungsi sosialnya akan membawa dampak bagi kualitas hidup manusia. Sementara itu terdapat dimensi kesejarahan yang tidak berubah dimana ikatan kesejarahan ini mengacu pada dimensi ruang lama dalam dimensi ruang urban masa sekarang ini. Penelitian ini fokus pada karya patung yang berkaitan dengan sejarah seni di Eropa dan wilayah kabupaten Subang sebagai latar belakang wilayah dimanaterdapat pusat industri perkebunan pemerintah kolonial Belanda. Bagi Kabupaten Subang karya patung ini dikenal sebagai patung tuan Hofland,patung berbahan perunggu ini, kini ditempatkan di museum daerah Wisma Karya Subang. dimana tercatat pada tahun 1975 terjadi percobaan pencurian berulang kali hingga terakhir terjadi percobaan pencurian lainnya di tahun 2002. Kemudian ditemukan dalam keadaan rusak, satu dari tiga buah patung selain patung utamanya masih dinyatakan hilang hingga kini.Kata Kunci: Patung, Seni, Sejarah, Kolonial, Perkebuna

No full textPT Madubaru Yogyakarta is a sugar cane-based agro-industrial company where the main business is a sugar factory and a alcohol factory. Products produced by PT Madubaru include bulk sugar, retail sugar, pure alcohol, spirits, fertilizer and hand sanitizer. The products sold are quality basic necessities for society and industry, so PT Madubaru has a great opportunity to maximize its sales. The aim of this research is to determine recommendations for company development strategies at PT Madubaru. The method used in this research is the Business Model Canvas and SWOT analysis. In the SWOT analysis there is a weighting for each factor which will produce a score value for the internal factors and external factors. On the internal factor (Strength-Weakness) a score of -0.050 was obtained. Meanwhile, for external factors (Opportunity-Threat) a score of 0.834 was obtained. These two factors inform that the company is in quadrant III. This means that PT Madubaru experiences weaknesses in various (internal) ways, so that profitable opportunities are difficult to achieve. A suitable strategy to use in this quadrant is the turn-around strategy. The focus of this strategy is to minimize internal problems so that the company can take advantage of better opportunities

equity will bring a product into a strategic position in consumer�s mind in a long
term. Nowadays, Indonesian government still gives an access to the cigarette
companies to promote their product, even with many restrictions. But there is a trend
to restrict all kind of promotion of cigarette product in the near future. That�s why
cigarette companies are required to build good brand equity to make their product
sustainable and memorize in consumer�s mind in a long term, if the government make
this restrictions in the near future. Event sponsorship is one of the strategies.
The purpose of this research is to measure the effect of Djarum�s integrated
marketing communication through event sponsorship to the variables of LA Lights�s
brand equity. The result of this research will summarize if event sponsorship has a
significant effect to the variables of LA Lights�s brand equity
