Abstract : This dissertation is about the intellectual contacts made by Paulo Duarte during his two exiles. The Brazilian president, Getúlio Vargas, exhiled Duarte for two times: in 1934 and, after a period back in Brazil, again, between 1938 and 1945, during the dictatorial government called Estado Novo. The text uses the image of the river, essential in Duarte's writings, to make a movement brushing the history against the grain, that is, against the stream, searching for the relations and contacts which have not been explored in the creation of the writer's "institutional" image. After an excursus in which the river's image is presented, as well as questions about autobiography and the theories about memory and history that guides the doctoral dissertation, we discuss three problems in which Duarte's position allows reading different modernity theories in Latin America. First come the idea of heritage and the debate in which he takes part during his passage through Argentina, in its proximity with Walter Benjamin and the Annales' reflections about History. Second, the search for History and culture's foundings takes Duarte's reflections to the problem of the mankind's origin, that is rooted in the language, according to Duarte. At last, the dissertation approaches the emergency of the problem of image, which, converging with the discussion about origin and language, takes, in the reading of and the contact between Duarte and Luis Buñuel, Anton Giulio Bragaglia and Samuel Beckett, to the swirl of rooting the origin in the void
Costa Rican gut fungi (Trichomycetes) infecting lotic insect larvae
Trichomycetes infecting freshwater Ephemeroptera and Díptera (Siínuliidae, Chironomidae) in various life zones oC Cósta Rica were studied. Insect populations in 36 streams were sampled, a few repeatedly, at four different . perlods of time over seven years. Eleven new species of Harpellales are reported, plus six species known to occur also in n ontropical parts oí the world. Included are new species of Harpella and Pennella, a new monotypic genus (Graminelloides), and four new species of the previously monotypic genera Spartiella and Genistellospora. Seven new Smittiúm species, including three that are not named at this time, were cultured axenically. A new Amoebidium (Amoebidiales) was found in a stream polluted with organic matter. In the same polluted stream more species of dipteran larvae and a greater number of gut fungi were present than in stretclies of unpolluted water upstream. The overall diversity of Harpellales and their aquatic insect hosts in most Costa Rican streams appeared to be lower than what the author has found in many lotic habitats in more northem and southem regions of the world, and thus this order of fungi may be an exception to the 'latitudinal species diversity gradient' concept as it applies to many other tropical organisms. Prorivulus Costa.
Prorivulus Costa. A monotypic non-annual genus, P. auriferus Costa, Lima & Suzart, from the coastal drainages of northeastern Brazil, is diagnosed by the presence of soft anal fin rays in females, minute urogenital papilla in males, and absence of a dark bar on iris. It has some morphological characteristics similar to Kryptolebias, but other characters more closely align with the rest of Rivulidae. According to the original description it would be the sister taxa of all Rivulidae except Kryptolebias (Costa, 2004b, 2006a). Unfortunately, it has never been included in any subsequent phylogeny or revision, and its position remains uncertain.Published as part of Loureiro, Marcelo, Sá, Rafael de, Serra, Sebastián W., Alonso, Felipe, Lanés, Luis Esteban Krause, Volcan, Matheus Vieira, Calviño, Pablo, Nielsen, Dalton, Duarte, Alejandro & Garcia, Graciela, 2018, Review of the family Rivulidae (Cyprinodontiformes, Aplocheiloidei) and a molecular and morphological phylogeny of the annual fish genus Austrolebias Costa 1998, pp. 1-20 in Neotropical Ichthyology 16 (3) on page 6, DOI: 10.1590/1982-0224-20180007, http://zenodo.org/record/370983
Coast of the Sun - the intensive development of the coastal zone of the Costa Del Sol in Spain. An attempted appraisal
Wybrzeże Słońca to obecnie intensywnie zagospodarowany odcinek pasa nad Morzem Śródziemnym w Andaluzji. The Coast of Sun (Costa del Sol) is nowadays intensive developed strip of coastal zone on the Mediterranean Sea in Andalucía. The perfect climate, natural conditions and the rich architectural and cultural heritage of the region, are the reason for big interest of all person willing to spend holidays in Spain. It is also the region of high antropopression and development of commercial architecture. The evaluation outputs of the development in this area, especially of its urbanization are different. Author, despite of the disseminated critical assessment of the contemporary urban development of Costa del Sol, searches in the transformation and development processes some positive issues

Abstract : The research proposal, developed in 2014, was to understand the meanings of being a child in Costa da Lagoa, Azores community, located in Lagoa da Conceição, in Florianópolis (SC). The definition of Costa started from the idea that there are communities that keep principles of freedom with children, in a way, it has the time and space in the natural and cultural environment, to challenge and grow. Party of the theoretical concepts that consider historical beings children, social, ethnic, cultural, political and, therefore, entitled trajectories to be respected, I felt I was in front of children - sheltered all the similarities with the other - still have, in community dynamics, the right to be protagonists of experiences, learning and freedoms. Along the way, the research brings the general objective of the proposal to unravel the meanings found in the relations established by the children living in the Costa da Lagoa, between being, play and nature. Having the following objectives: a) to hear the stories of the old on his childhood memories, focusing on childhood and once in the games; b) find the existing leisure facilities in Lagoa da Costa directed to children living in this community, as well as give their appropriations; c) seek the meanings of the different ways of playing children living in the Costa da Lagoa; d) experience the daily life of these children and detecting their experiences with nature. The methodological definition came from ethnography, with its "look closely and away" and his "inside and outside look" and was configured as a path to be followed with a qualitative prevalence and descriptive. The focus was the older residents, some adults and children, in general, are able to participate in the social context, according to their wills and their skills, because belonging and being part is a right that is earned at birth. The methodology has been in permanent construction to account for a dynamic reality and changing. For data collection different instruments were used, complementary to each other: participant observation; notebook; informal conversations; visits to homes and older residents; photographs; shooting; children's drawings; participation in events. Upon completion of the survey, but far from satisfy the concerns as a researcher; I evaluate that ethnography provided a significant hike by the trails and crossings from Costa. The old residents who lived their childhoods, even permeated the work and difficulties, have happy and fun memories, keeping their liveliness and social participation. Children who live there have the opportunity to carry out activities in the naturalenvironment, among trees, water, land and animals. Children are challenged to overcome fears, to develop self-knowledge and to increase the awareness capability. I can say that my stay in Costa was one "lived experience" in my personal journey as a student and professional. Conversations flowed, the relations floated, photographs plunged and my own follow its browsing knowing that there are ties and commitments that are forever
Incapacitas assumendi (kan. 1095 KPK) w świetle wyroku Roty Rzymskiej c. Da Costa Gomes z 17 lipca 2023 roku
The author presents the sentence of the Roman Rota regarding the marriage concluded by the parties on August 23, 1997 in one of the parish churches in the Sosnowiec diocese. The marital community, without offspring, lasted about eight years, after which the man filed (December 8, 2019) to the Diocesan Court of Sosnowiec a lawsuit for the declaration of the invalidity of the marriage due to the inability to assume the essential obligations of marriage for causes of a psychic nature (can. 1095, n. 3 CIC) after the defendant. After conducting the evidentiary instruction and performing other procedural steps, on April 12, 2022, the Tribunal issued a negative sentence, from which the plaintiff appealed to the Roman Rota, where - after completing the evidentiary instruction – shift the judge\u27s c. Da Costa Gomes on July 27, 2023 ruled constare de nullitate. Wspólnota małżeńska, nieobdarowana potomstwem, trwała ok. ośmiu lat, po czym mężczyzna wniósł (8 grudnia 2019 roku) do Sądu Diecezjalnego Sosnowieckiego pozew o stwierdzenie nieważności małżeństwa z tytułu niezdolności do podjęcia istotnych obowiązków małżeńskich (kan.
Extraction and microencapsulation of bioactive compounds from olive oil processing solid wastes
Mestrado em Engenharia Alimentar - Instituto Superior de AgronomiaThe food industry by-products such as olive oil processing solid waste are an important source of natural
bioactive compounds. The aim of the present work was to extract bioactive compounds from olive pomace using
supercritical carbon dioxide extraction and to investigate the viability of their encapsulation in a food-stuff carrier
as a way of protection from antioxidant properties losses.
Several supercritical extractions were performed at a 250 bar and a 40 ºC with and without pre-treatments and
levels of moisture content were also tested. Yields between 8 and 12% (w/w) were achieved and fatty acid
content, sterols and total poliphenolic compounds were evaluated in all supercritical extracts. Since there are a
strong correlation between antioxidant activity and poliphenolic compounds, the two most representative phenols,
hydroxytyrosol and tyrosol, were identified and quantified. Antioxidant activity was also investigated using ORAC
and HORAC methods.
Extraction of bioactive compounds from olive pomace in soxhlet apparatus were also carried out for control and
yields of 13% (w/w) were achieved.
Encapsulation of the most bioactive extract achieved was performed by spray-drying using inulin as the wall
material and antioxidant activity was evaluated
