Heng: Schwer zu sagen. Für viele ist es Kultur, für andere ein lukratives Geschäftsmodell. Ich denke, es entsteht gerade ein Wandel zwischen den Generationen. Die Jugend von heute wächst mit dem Medium auf und wird wahrscheinlich das als Kultur ansehen und früher oder später wird es auch für manche ein Geschäftsmodell werden. Aktuell ist es eher für Spezialisten, aber das kann sich im Laufe der Zeit ändern, wenn sich mehr und mehr Leute mit dem Thema beschäftigen.
merz: Wie schätzt Du die Breitenwirkung ein?
Heng: Sehr breit, weil das Internet heutzutage nicht wegzudenken ist und auch junge Leute schon ein Smartphone besitzen. Ja, es ist sehr breitwirkend, aber aktuell für junge Leute bis junge Erwachsene.
merz: Sind YouTube-Stars Vorbilder für junge Jugendliche?
Heng: Was heißt YouTube-Stars? Dieser Begriff wurde von den Alt-Medien erfunden, um der neuen Art der Bekanntheit einen Namen zu geben. Ich sag mal so, jeder der in der Öffentlichkeit steht, ist automatisch ein Vorbild. Ob gut oder schlecht ist ein anderes Thema. Hollywood-Darstellerinnen und -Darsteller bis zu Sportlerinnen und Sportler sind ja auch Vorbilder für junge Jugendliche, somit gehören auch YouTube-„Stars“ zu den Vorbildern.
merz: Wann „verrät" eine YouTuberin oder ein YouTuber die Szene?
Heng: Wenn jemand ihn danach fragt und sich für das Thema interessiert, meiner Meinung nach. Klar, muss ein beidseitiges Interesse bestehen, sonst wird es eher schwierig. Ein Fußballfan zum Beispiel verrät eher etwas aus der Szene, wenn der gegenüber auch ein Fußballfan ist.
merz: Ist ein YouTube-Content mit einer politischen Haltung eher ungewöhnlich oder gehört eine indifferente Haltung zum Programm?
Heng: Sehr schwere Frage, ich kann nur von meiner Sichtweise sprechen. Viele aus der YouTube-Szene halten sich raus, wenn es um politische Themen geht, weil es eventuell einfach nicht zu ihrem Content oder Kanal passt oder das Thema allgemein sehr heiß ist. Aber ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es einige gibt, die sich wirklich mit dem Thema teils oder hauptsächlich beschäftigen.
merz: Bist du optimistisch oder pessimistisch, was aktuelle Online-Entwicklungen zur politischen Information angeht?
Heng: Meiner Meinung nach bin ich so 50/50. Es entwickelt sich viel in diese Richtung, jedoch stellt YouTube dafür keine gute Plattform dar. Viele Videos mit politischen Informationen/News aus der Welt sind aktuell für den YouTube-Algorithmus nicht ‚werbefreundlich\u27. Außer bei Ausnahme-Kanälen, die beim ARD/ZDF Jugendprogramm Funk sind, die haben nicht dieses Problem, weil ihre Videos über die Rundfunkgebühren finanziert werden.
merz: Was muss passieren, dass YouTube keine Rolle mehr für die Jugendlichen spielt?Heng Wenn sich eine neue Plattform etabliert. Aktuell sind es die Social Media Netzwerke wie Instagram, Snapchat und Musica.ly, die ziemlich polarisieren. Aber YouTube wird immer eine Rolle spielen, außer die Server fallen komplett aus.merz Was sollten pädagogische Fachkräfte mit Jugendlichen im Bereich YouTube tun?
Heng: Ich würde vorschlagen, sich mit den Jugendlichen und deren Interessen zu beschäftigen und von ihnen zu lernen, was sie gucken, eventuell selbst Kanäle zu abonnieren, um die Welt dahinter zu verstehen und einfach up-to-date zu sein. Somit kann man besser mit den Jugendlichen diskutieren und sogar coole Projekte aufbauen. Am wichtigsten ist es auch, offen für das Thema zu sein und nicht voreingenommen

A Human Settlement's Assessment with GIS on Niche Suitability in Heng Yang City of China
No full textIn order to assess the cities' human settlement, this paper proposes a new method according to the elements of niche suitability by the following: (1) the author selects meticulously 25 leading indicators what can reflect the best coupling between the reality niche and the best approximate niche; (2) the author sets up a new quantitative model of multiplies indices using niche suitability on assessing the cities' human settlements. By the way, the indices those the author uses to set up the model are form the economical, social and environmental niche respectively. The new method and the model are used to assessing the Heng Yang City of Hu Nan Province in China in order to take an example for its effect. With the help of the SuperMap-GIS software in his experiment, the author acquires a thematic map of Heng Yang Cities' human settlement, the results of this experiment display that this method and its model are very practicable for assessing a cities' inner human settlement. By the results of this paper, the author expresses his viewpoints for promotion the cities' human settlement that this paper does a research.</jats:p
“EMPER TERBUKA” PADA DESAIN RUMAH TOKO KELUARGA HO A HENG KARYA FRIEDRICH SILABAN
No full textAbstrak_ Pada periode akhir karirnya, Friedrich Silaban merancang Rumah Toko Keluarga Ho A Heng di daerah Suryakencana Bogor yang merupakan satu-satunya proyek huniannya untuk rumah toko tunggal. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode yang digunakan oleh Silaban dalam mendesain “emper terbuka” pada Rumah Toko Keluarga Ho A Heng dan membandingkannya dengan tipologi rumah toko Tionghoa. Dengan pendekatan historikal, penulis menganalisis komposisi tata ruang dan desain atap emper terbuka melalui dokumen arsip Silaban untuk proyek ini. Selanjutnya pendekatan komparatif digunakan untuk membandingkan desain rumah toko ini dengan tipologi rumah toko Tionghoa di Cina Selatan dan Bogor. Melalui desainnya Silaban memadukan pola tata ruang rumah toko nonlinier yang fungsional dan taman dalam sebagai pusat yang dikelilingi oleh emper terbuka dengan naungan atap berteritisan lebar dan elemen pembayangan. Emper terbuka dan taman tengah menjadi bagian dari metode desain Silaban sebagai solusi masalah iklim tropis lembab pada rumah toko modern.

Abstract_ At the end of his career period, Friedrich Silaban designed a shophouse for the family of Ho A Heng at Suryakencana Bogor remarked as his only housing project for a single shophouse. This paper aims to analyze Silaban’s design method for creating the “open veranda” in the shophouse for Ho A Heng and compare it to the Chinese shophouse typology. Using a historical method, the author analyzed the open veranda’s spatial composition and roof design by examining Silaban’s archive documents for this project. Furthermore, the author used a comparative method to collate this shophouse design with Chinese shophouse typology in Southern China and Bogor. Through his design, Silaban integrated a functional non-linear spatial composition and a central courtyard was surrounded by the open veranda beneath wide roof eaves and shading elements. The open veranda and central courtyard become a part of Silaban’s design method to solve the problem of the hot-humid climate in modern shophouse design.

Cyclophilin D Deficiency Protects Against the Development of Mitochondrial ROS and Cellular Inflammation in Aorta

Mitochondrial cyclophilin D (CypD), the important modulator for mPTP opening, is increasingly recognized as a key regulator of cellular ROS generation. Besides, its association with cell inflammation is also being discovered. However, the effects of CypD in modulating vascular inflammatory response is unknown. We sought to investigate whether CypD deficiency attenutes vascular inflammation under physical conditions. Methods and results: We adopted CypD KO mouse and their littermate controls to observe the effects of CypD deficiency on aortic mitochondrial functions and vascular inflammation. As we found in our study, we confirmed that under physical conditions, CypD deficiency enhanced mouse whole body metabolic status, increased aortic mitochondrial complex III activity and decreased mitochondrial ROS generation. Functionally, CypD deficiency also attenuated inflammatory molecules expression, including VCAM-1, IL-6 and TNF-alpha in mouse aorta.
