Feasibility of LTE 700 MHz Digital Dividend for Broadband Development Acceleration in Rural Areas
The need of broadband services to reduce digital divide in rural areas had increased in the recent years. The government of the Republic Indonesia shared similar intention and had set guidance of ICT development in its "economic master plan" and "medium term development plan". This paper addressed feasibility and suitability of its implementation in Indonesia, by conducting assessment of possible solutions. Using mixed method, the study was started with qualitative approach to identify possible options, conducted benchmarking and case study analysis to narrow down the options and finally conducted quantitative calculation for the two remaining options and measure performance of the solutions. The results of analysis concluded that early implementation of LTE in 700 MHz Digital Dividend would be feasible in certain geographical areas to fasten the broadband plan development in Indonesia.</p
WiMAX Implementation as Existing Hotspot Network Backhaul in Jakarta
WiMAX Implementation as Existing Hotspot Network Backhaul in Jakarta The development of Broadband Wireless Access (BWA), such as WiMAX, as a global standard for data transmission media has been used by high speed internet access provider. WiMAX application which supported by capabilities of interoperability, flexibility and commercial aspect make the internet services become more efficient, cheaper and easier to the customer. This phenomenon should be responded by ISPs. Based on technical and financial aspect in deciding the implementation of Wireless Network with WiMAX technology as a substitute, this research will observe and analyze the projection of WiMAX technology implementation as a backhaul for the existing Wi-Fi’s network in Jakarta. This paper will describe the calculation based on the amount of hotspots registered in IIX and average peak traffic per regional from technical aspect with several pricing and technology combination. The result give the basic figures in investing WiMAX as substitute technology for backhaul in hotspot network and also will show its growth in 5 years

Software Design of Mobile Antenna for Auto Satellite Tracking Using Modem Correction and Elevation Azimuth Method
Software Design of Mobile Antenna for Auto Satellite Tracking Using Modem Correction and Elevation Azimuth Method. Pointing accuracy is important in satellite communication. Because the satellite’s distance to the surface of the earth\u27s satellite is so huge, 1 degree of pointing error will make the antenna unable to send data to satellites. To overcome this, the auto-tracking satellite controller is made. This system uses a microcontroller as the controller, with the GPS as the location indicator of the antenna, a digital compass as the beginning of antenna pointing direction, a rotary encoder as azimuth and elevation censor, and a modem to see Eb/No signal. The microcontroller uses serial communication to read the input. Thus, the programming should be focused on the Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) and serial communication software UART. This controller has 2 phases in the process of tracking satellites. The early stage is the elevation-azimuth method, in which with input from the GPS and digital compass, the position of satellites (both coordinates and height) is stored in the microcontroller. The controller will measure the elevation and azimuth angle, then it will move the antenna according to the antenna azimuth and elevation angle. The next stage is correction modem, in which the controller only uses the modem as the input, and antenna movement is set up to obtain the largest value of Eb/No signal. The results of the controller operation show that there is a change in the value of the original input level from -81.7 dB to -30.2 dB with end of Eb/No value reaching 5.7 dB
The Aesthetics, Sanctity, and Utility of Jihad in the Earliest Biography of Muhammad
This thesis is an examination of the way jihad is portrayed in the earliest surviving biography of Muhammad. Sirat Rasul Allah is the oldest most complete biography of Muhammad to which we still have access to today, and in this biography wars, raids, and other violent acts are treated as something that is morally good, beautiful, and rewarded. To engage in violence, war, and raids, on behalf of Allah, is seen as a mark of the pious, courageous, and noble-born. Jiha is also seen as Allah’s punishment of the wicked and those who enact jihad are depicted as being directly controlled by Allah when partaking in those actions. To avoid engaging in jihad is synonymous with being a hypocrite, coward, and base-born. The acts of jihad are praised as beautiful throughout the text. Those participating in jihad are rewarded both on earth and in heaven. In defense of this thesis the author quotes directly from Sirat Rasul Allah, looking extensively at the text itself. This is done in three sections. The first section looks at the metaphysical and ontological structure of morality that allows for jihad within Sirat Rasul Allah. The next section uses direct quotes to demonstrate that jihad is portayed as beautiful. This section is then followed by a final section showing how jihad is rewarded on earth and in heaven
POLEMIK SEMUA ORANG MENDATANGI NERAKA DALAM PERSPEKTIF IMAM AL-TABARI
This article describes about hell in various suras in the Qur\u27an, one of which is Surah Maryam verses 71 and 72. Unlike other verses, this verse states that everyone will come to hell whether he is a disobedient person or a believer. Regarding this verse, there are differences of opinion on the meaning of the word وَارِدُهاَ which means to come to him. Some interpret it with the meaning of entering. While some others interpret it with the meaning of passing. Imam al-Tabari is one of the commentators who provides a fairly detailed interpretation of the verse. The author uses a qualitative method of literature (library research) with the theory of tahlili. The author conducts a search and collects various data related to the variables studied, then analyzes interpretively and descriptively on the data that has been collected. The meaning of the word وَارِدُهاَ in this verse according to al-Tabari is al-Mururu or passing, that is, all believers or unbelievers will pass through hell, namely through sirat that lies above hell. But among them there are those who survived through it and some who fell into hell. Regarding the criteria for those who are saved on the journey through the sirat, Imam al-Tabari stated that they are pious people. As for the criteria for those who are allowed to fall into hell according to al-Tabari, they are those who wrong themselve
Anti-Corruption Justice Centre: A Comparison of its Operation in the Republic and the Emirate of Afghanistan
Transparency International\u27s annual reports in recent years have put Afghanistan near the top of the list of corrupt countries. This paper explores how the Anti-Corruption Justice Centre (“ACJC”) – established in 2016 to prevent the loss of national assets, speed up the discovery, investigation, and judicial review of corruption cases, and observe international obligations – set about tackling the country’s endemic corruption. This paper then examines what happened to the ACJC after the fall of the Republic in August 2021 and the declaration of the Taliban Emirate. Lastly, this paper details the approach the Taliban Emirate has taken to the problem of corruption.
This paper draws on the unique insights of the author (a judge at the ACJC’s special corruption court until the fall of the Republic), with special attention to the ways in which key cases were brought to the court and adjudicated, under the Afghan Republic. For the period of the Taliban Emirate, the paper draws on interviews with prosecutors and other original research.
The findings indicate that, although the ACJC had weaknesses, it was relatively effective at adjudicating the cases brought before it and, had it had more time and continued to enjoy the moral and material support of the Afghan government, could have played a key role in an intensifying fight against corruption. By contrast, though many Afghans remembered the first Taliban regime as comparatively corruption-free, and though Taliban insurgents used public indignation at Republic officials’ blatant corruption as a recruiting draw, the current Taliban regime has closed down relevant institutions including ACJC, and turned a blind eye to the problem of corruption. The status of the laws addressing the subject is currently ambiguous and opaque. The future of the ACJC cases and the effort to combat corruption in Afghanistan is indeterminate
