The author tries to determinate if the reception of G. Vico in the context of the River Plate Culture of the nineteenth century was due directly to De Angelis, or to Michelet, apparently influenced in turn by De Angelis. If the first idea is plausible, through the stay of the Italian himself in the Argentine, then the conclusion seems clear: the true rôle of De Angelis in the spread of Vico in the nineteenth century is an unknown, and not a fact. However, the fact that something is not shown by documentary evidence does not prevent it being fictionally suppoused

Comparison of theory and direct numerical simulations of drag reduction by rodlike polymers in turbulent channel flows
Numerical simulations of turbulent channel flows, with or without additives, are limited in the extent of the Reynolds number (Re) and Deborah number (De). The comparison of such simulations to theories of drag reduction, which are usually derived for asymptotically high Re and De, calls for some care. In this paper we present a study of drag reduction by rodlike polymers in a turbulent channel flow using direct numerical simulation and illustrate how these numerical results should be related to the recently developed theory

Quasi cursores vitai lampada tradunt: Tra traduzione e riscrittura: Milo De Angelis traduttore di Lucrezio.
The aim of this paper is to consider the ways and intentions of Milo de Angelis’ translation experience of Lucretius’ De rerum natura. The first part of the article will provide a comparison between the translation of a Lucretian passage, operated by the editorial board of Niebo, quarterly journal of poetry led by De Angelis himself for three years, and a later version of the same passage operated by De Angelis alone. This will highlight the shift between a translation that remains completely faithful to the ancient author and one that operates more freely. In the second part, the paper will consider the progression of De Angelis’ lecture of De rerum natura, by analyzing some passages from the Lucretius’ anthological collection, Sotto la scure silenziosa (SE 2005), and by showing the evolution of translation toward a proper ‘rewriting’.In questo lavoro sono indagate le modalità e le intenzioni dell’esperienza traduttiva di Milo De Angelis intorno al De rerum natura di Lucrezio.

This essay presents some songs by Rodolfo De Angelis, an artist close to the Futurist movement. These works show both the autarchic themes of Fascism and the ironic and satirical point of view of the author
Mașriyyānū: yawmiyyāt mușawwir īṭālī by Carmine Cartolano is a collection of anecdotes, in which the author himself is the protagonist. The word mașriyyānū is the result of the union of two words: mișrī
and italiano. The author is an Italian photographer, instructor and translator, who has been living in Egypt for thirteen years. His first book published in Egypt and entirely written in Egyptian dialect has achieved resounding success and a second edition of it has been published in
November of the same year. Cartolano describes “his” Egypt, as if he were taking pictures of the people that surround him, i.e. mostly Egyptians of the lower classes. In this paper I will try to explain the reasons why an Italian author writing in Egyptian dialect achieved such a success within Egyptian contemporary literature, through a omparative analysis with Arabic mother tongue authors writing in Italian
