Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Interactive Multimedia Based Long Jump Athletic Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic at FIK UNIMED
Jump numbers are included in the classification of skill types that are acycliccombined. This means that there is a cyclic movement which is then continued with the acyclical movement so that it can take advantage of the part method (partmethod) and the whole (whole method). It provides an understanding of audio as something related to reception through sound and hearing. Visual is something related to the eye or vision, props, can be seen and witnessed. It can be said that audio visuals are "something related to reception through hearing and sight, sound and props, audible and witnessable". In this case, audio visual media is used to record the initial ability of students by analyzing movements using kinovea applications so that specific movement hasis are obtained. The use of audio visual media to evaluate the series of long jump movements can be one alternative in determining learning variations that are in accordance with the ability of students. The methods used in this study use development research. Research in this learning model uses quantitative approaches as well as using the Research & Development (R&D) development model of Borg and Gall. The product development procedure can be described as follows: a) Determination of ideas, b) Model making, c) Evaluation. The subject used in the athletics course of the Long Jump branch in FIK UNIMED students is qualitative data, because it is expressed by sentences and not numbers, while the quantitative data is obtained by converting qualitative data by giving a score to the data that has been collected
The Effect of The Supervision of The Principal and The Professional Competency of Teachers on Teacher Performance in Private MI in Pacet District
In an institution or school, every teacher or teacher has a very important role in determining success in education. Therefore, teachers at least have pedagogic competence, professional competence, social competence and pedagogic competence. Given the importance of the role of the principal teacher as well as helping in solving problems or obstacles experienced by teachers, principals can also carry out supervision so that they know how the results of each teacher's assessment are. Supervision is a coaching activity planned to assist teachers and other school staff in carrying out their work effectively. Not only supervision, but the professional competence of teachers is no less important in helping teachers or in improving teacher performance. Professional competence itself means the ability to master the learning material broadly and deeply. In every institution certainly wants the best for the progress of the institution, principals and teachers must also have made efforts to improve performance. Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to the supervision of the principal and the professional competence of teachers, because both are very influential in improving teacher performance
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
EFEKTIFITAS PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN MEDIA UNTUK PERBAIKAN HASIL LOMPAT JAUH
The purpose of this research was to find out the extent of improvement in the jumps and the results of the jumps by using various forms of media at the High School Student Athletics Club 2 Range in 2020. This study was students who were still in class X who were sampled with a total of 35 students. action will be given in the form of learning using a variety of media to the results of improvement of the results of the jump. The method used in this research is classroom action research. The location of this research is in SMA Negeri 2 Kisaran Asahan Regency where the school has a very active Athletic club. This research was conducted in February 2020. To obtain data in this study, a test of learning outcomes was carried out at the end of each cycle in the form of the application of the basic jump assessment technique. With the implementation of this research study test results carried out for two weeks or two meetings. Data analysis was performed by data reduction and data exposure. The results of the study concluded: (1) from the test of learning outcomes obtained as many as 30 students with grades after being confirmed (69.04%) had reached the level of mastery learning while 5 students (30.96%) had not reached the level of mastery learning. From this study, it can be concluded that the use of media can be an improvement in the results of the long jump so that its effectiveness is very precise. This research is designed so that the teacher or trainer is able to be a solution to improve the results of the long jump for the students or athletes he trains

Making an Electric Vertical Jump Limb Muscle Explosiveness Test Tool Using Iot Technology in Physical Education Activities
This research aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT) technology-based leg muscle explosiveness test tool that can be used in physical education activities. The research design is in the form of an electric vertical jump tool, students only need to stand and jump in front of the media that we have made so that the results can be converted automatically. The research method includes the design stage, tool development, and testing of 30 high school students. The test results show that this tool has high validity with a correlation (r = 0.93) to the manual method, and provides accurate and consistent data. In addition, the survey showed that 90% of users found the tool easy to use thanks to the app-based digital interface that allows real-time data analysis. This tool makes a significant contribution in improving the accuracy and efficiency of leg muscle explosive power measurement, and is relevant for use in modern physical education. However, limitations such as the need for internet connection and manufacturing costs need to be overcome to increase wider adoption. This study concludes that an IoT-based leg muscle explosive power testing device has great potential to improve the quality of physical evaluation in physical education and sports training environments
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
