Food truck company business plan in Vaasa

    No full text
Starting a new business can be overwhelming and confusing if you do not know where to start. However, in most cases, a business plan is a good starting point if you still want to evaluate the feasibility of your business idea from multiple perspectives from financial, marketing, positioning, and competitiveness. This business plan aims to study the current food industry in Vaasa and realize the possibility of starting a new food truck. The paper first analyzes what is a business plan and why is it important to have a business plan. Afterward, the author talks about ways to improve the chance of success of the business idea by leveraging human, social, financial capital as well as innovation. Vaasa food industry is then briefly recapped to provide readers with a basic overview of the competition in the area. Lastly, the author writes a business plan about the food truck idea – with insight from Vaasa city officials and VASEK advisors. A quantitative survey was done to get real, practical data from Vaasa residents on the idea and the overall dine out experience in the city. It is used to recognize the pitfalls of competition where the author’s food establishment can capitalize upon. The research shows a bright outlook of the idea and that it can be well-received if all the premises are met

The real option with an absorbing barrier.

The emerging legal framework for private sector development in Viet Nam's transitional economy

    No full text
A major objective of Viet Nam's transition to a market economy has been to reactivate the private sector in a mixed economy. Several new laws have been introduced in the past five years to implement this policy and to create an enabling environment for the private sector. The author reviews some of the more important laws and regulations that affect Viet Nam's private sector activities, including laws on real property, intellectual property, companies, domestic investment, foreign investment, bankruptcy, contracts, and dispute resolution. Anti-monopoly law has not yet been introduced in Viet Nam. The issue of competition is addressed in the context of trade law, the relative roles of the state and private sector, and restrictions in company law. These areas all establish the foundation of a legal framework for a market economy. The author concludes that Viet Nam's legal framework, like China's, is still influenced by ideology, which causes problems in such areas as private ownership of real property and with such fundamental legal concepts as"due process of law."It is noted that the private sector is constrained by the lack of an independent judiciary, the absence of private land ownership, other uncertainties in property law that limit the develpoment of financial markets, and the inherent bias of the system in favor of the state sector (and collective ownership). Also noted is a law-abiding attitude, equally important to development has been slow to develop. The author goes on to point out that the foreign investment process is too complicated, and its company law too restrictive. A first priority should be to strreamline regulations, as well as liberalize trade policy and increase efforts in privatization of state enterprises. In this respect the author notes that export processing zones may be a useful interim instrument to attract foreign investment but should be phased out over time. More important in the long term is a good investment climate resting on a strong legal foundation.Legal Products,Environmental Economics&Policies,Banks&Banking Reform,Municipal Housing and Land,Municipal Financial Management,Environmental Economics&Policies,Banks&Banking Reform,Municipal Housing and Land,Legal Products,Municipal Financial Management

Gate modulation of the long-range magnetic order in a vanadium-doped WSe2 semiconductor

© Author(s) 2020 Generation of spin-charge coupling by doping semiconductors with magnetic dopants is a promising approach for gate-tunable spintronic devices without applying an external magnetic field. Here, we demonstrate that the magnetic orders in V-doped WSe2 can be modulated by tuning carrier densities using ab initio calculations. We found that at a low V-doping concentration limit, the long-range ferromagnetic order is enhanced by increasing the hole density. In contrast, this long-range ferromagnetic order is suppressed at high electron density by compensating the p-type V dopant, originating from the strong localized antiferromagnetic coupling between V and W atoms and between V and Se atoms. The hole-mediated long-range magnetic exchange is similar to 70 meV, thus strongly suggesting the ferromagnetism in V-doped WSe2 at room temperature. Our findings on strong coupling between charge and spin order in V-doped WSe2 provide plenty of room for multifunctional gate-tunable spintronics11Nsciescopu
