The concept of integration is one of the efforts in the discourse of the dichotomy of religion and science, one of which is the view of Holmes Rolston, one of the philosophers who brings together theology, namely religion and theory, namely science in methodology. Through Holmes Rolston's methodological concept, the integration between religion and science can grow and develop and even complement each other. In this study, the author uses a qualitative approach with the library study method. From the study that the author conducted on Holmes Rolston's view on the integration of religion and science, as a response to the sychotomy of religion and science, the answer is that between theology, namely religion and theory, namely science, can meet in a methodology

The problem of ‘aqîdah of Muslims nowadays can be seen from two sides, internally and externally. Internally, the emergence of takfîri ideas which resulted in the weakness of brotherhood. While externally, the impact of the hegemony of Western civilization which brings people to atheistic-relativistic beliefs. The presence of the concept of al-tsawâbit wa al-mutaghayyirât in ‘aqîdah is expected to be the solution to today’s problems. In academia, it is still rare to fnd research that focuses on this issue. If any, the approach is more to relativistic-pluralistic which obscures the meaning of the absolute truth of religion. In this study, the author refers to a contemporary Muslim fgure, Shalah Shawi, who had the idea of dividing the problem of ‘aqîdah into two concepts. Specifcally, this study focuses on the problem of al-walâ’ wa al-barâ’ (loyalty). The author presents using the descriptive-analysis method, which describes and analyzes the ideas in the books of Salah al-Shawi. As a result, the author concludes several points: 1) Tsawâbit in the study of Shalah al-Shawi is divided into two: frst, al-tsawâbit al-muṭlaqah, which is any case based on the arguments of qaṭ’i al-tsubut wa aldilâlah and ijmâ’ ṣarîh. Second, al-tsawâbit al-nisbiyah as several options that are considered râjih which it is hoped that Islamic movements can come to an agreement. 2) According to Shalah Shawi, al-mutaghayyirât in any case that is not confrmed by defnite arguments in the form of authentic argumentative texts or ijmâ’. 3) In the problem of al-walâ’ wa al-barâ’, Islamic scholars agree that giving religious loyalty to unbelievers is a form of kufr eventhough they are at odds on loyalty which is not based on religion. This article departs from the Friedrich Wilhelm Niesche’s issue on misunderstanding of God. He thought that God was the product of poets (human engineering results). Thus, disassembling the order of truth existing in modern era with his adagium “God Is Dead.” This provides a new discourse of thought, which arises from an anti-God view i.e. “anti-Christ” and hatred of absolutism which result the truth relativism. Niesche’s ideas greatly influenced the mainstream of liberalist; among them are the students of State Islamic university of Indonesia who declare an ignorance expression of Islam is not only the true religion. More over their claim about the God-freezone institution when welcoming new students. It is surely inappropriate exclamation cames from Muslim students in the country with majority Muslim in the world. Their atitude is the result of a thought that has been affected with the thoughts of Friedrich Wilhelm Niesche “God is death.” This work atempts to elaborate Niesche’s influence toward those Muslim collegers as well as the basic thought of their acts. In order to achieve the purpose, the author does not forget to describe the concept of God in Niesche’s view and its influence on liberal thinking

This paper studied the Egyptian modern short story “Fī Sanah Milyūn” by Taufīq al-Ḥakīm. The story tells us about the advancement of science and technology which was at its peak in 1000 CE, when people were made immortal. Then, they abandoned metaphysics. The radical Subject that destroyed the scientism structure then appeared by giving up his life. The question to be answered in this paper is: how did the Subject destroy tyrannical scientism and why? The analysis revealed that scientism deprived humanity of human beings and it was necessary for the radical Subject to destroy it. Through his scientific findings, the radical Subject created a transcendental paradigm of science as his criticism of positivistic scientism. The Subject built a fantasy about the eternity of God and the mortality of human beings as the replacement for scientism that had thrown God away from the picture and made human beings immortal. The movement of the author is a movement of an empty and split Subject. To seek fulfillment, the Subject kept moving to approximate The Real, namely a scientific order that had a transcendental-religious paradigm containing ordered values and honored the humanity of human beings
