A literary biobibliography of Péricles Eugênio da Silva Ramos
No full textA presente tese busca fornecer uma biobibliografia crítica do poeta paulista Péricles Eugênio da Silva Ramos (1919-1992), de um ponto de vista globalizante até agora não realizada de forma plena pela crítica especializada. Este trabalho abarca sua própria obra poética (com cinco livros de poesia), bem como suas facetas de tradutor e crítico literário. Para sua realização, utilizaram-se os livros, textos avulsos e manuscritos constantes do “Acervo Péricles Eugênio da Silva Ramos”, que está hoje sob guarda da UNIFATEA, em Lorena-SP, terra natal do poeta, de modo a fornecer o máximo de informações à análise e interpretação de sua obra. Nesse âmbito bibliográfico, a pesquisa se serve de aparato metodológico da crítica genética de autores tais como Eneida Maria de Souza, Louis Hay e Philippe Willemart. No tratamento da poesia e das traduções de Péricles Eugênio da Silva Ramos, parte-se das reflexões teóricas do autor sobre a métrica tradicional, sobre o ritmo na poesia moderna e sobre questões tradutórias, trazendo também para a análise contribuições de metricistas consagrados como Chociay e Said Ali, bem como ideias de tradução de autores como Paulo Rónai, Sebastião Uchoa Leite e Haroldo de Campos. A abordagem crítica da obra pretendeu demonstrar de que modo se delineiam forma e conteúdo tanto nas diferentes fases de sua produção autoral quanto nas traduções do poeta, bem como procura investigar os reflexos de sua erudição literária em sua obra, além de suas relações com a “Geração de 45” e com outros poetas brasileiros, seus contemporâneos.This thesis aims to provide a critical biobibliography of the “paulista” poet Péricles Eugênio da Silva Ramos (1919-1992), from a globalizing point of view hitherto not fully realized by specialized critics. This work includes his own poetic work (with five books of poetry), as well as his facets of translator and literary critic. The books, unpublished texts and manuscripts contained in the "Pericles Eugênio da Silva Ramos Collection", which is now under the custody of UNIFATEA, in Lorena-SP, the poet's home, are used for its accomplishment. the analysis and interpretation of his work. In this bibliographic context, the research serves as a methodological apparatus of the genetic critique of authors such as Eneida Maria de Souza, Louis Hay and Philippe Willemart. In the treatment of poetry and the translations of Péricles Eugênio da Silva Ramos, one begins with the theoretical reflections of the author on the traditional metric, on the rhythm in modern poetry and on questions of translation, also bringing to the analysis contributions of consecrated metricists such as Chociay and Said Ali, as well as translation ideas from authors like Paulo Rónai, Sebastião Uchoa Leite and Haroldo de Campos. Anguish and Memory: the existential crisis of being in Luís da Silva in the work Angústia by Graciliano Ramos
No full textThis work aims to analyze aspects of the existential crisis of the fragmented character Luís da
Silva from the work Angústia, in order to relate his anguish and memories with his decadent
view of the world. In this sense, it is considered opportune to highlight that Luís da Silva's
construction process was based on the models required of 20th century man, however, he is an
individual considered emblematic for facing his existential anguish within himself and with the
world. Therefore, Angústia (1936), by Graciliano Ramos, promotes dialogue in a believable
way to the monologue of the decadent (anti) hero. Furthermore, the character appears
fragmented to the detriment of the aspects focused on anguish and memories that are brought
to the surface in his monologue. To this end, the choice of theme is justified by the reading done
and because it is a novel with a more focused look at the identities of (post)modern man in a
conflicting situation. Consequently, the theoretical postulates of Bauman (2004; 2011) are
presented for discussion; Berman (1986); Halbwachs (1990); Freud (2014); Hall (2006);
Kierkegaard (2017); Lacan (2005); Pollak (1992); Sartre (2007) bringing considerations before
the moment of analysis. Furthermore, the second moment features various discussions about
modernist aesthetics, the author's trajectory and fortune followed by criticism as it is above all
a presentation for analysis. In this way, the moment determined the reading and re-reading of
the novel Angústia, revisiting Ramos (2023); Bosi (2015); Candido (2006); Velloso (2010);
Moisés (2019). Consequently, the analysis is divided into three chapters, in which theoretical
concepts are developed, starting with discourses about the author, the work and criticism,
reflected in the anlysis of fragments of Angústia, relating them to aspects of anguish and
memory of the fragmented and decadent characterEste trabalho tem por objetivo analisar os aspectos da crise existencial da personagem
fragmentada Luís da Silva da obra Angústia, a fim de relacionar sua angústia e memórias com
sua visão decadente do mundo. Nesse viés, julga-se oportuno salientar que Luís da Silva tem
seu processo de construção mediante aos modelos exigidos ao homem do século XX, todavia,
é um indivíduo considerado emblemático por travar consigo e com o mundo sua angústia
existencial. Sendo assim, Angústia (1936), de Graciliano Ramos, promove o diálogo de forma
verossímil ao monólogo do herói decadente. Para além disso, o personagem aparece
fragmentado em detrimento dos aspectos voltados à angústia e memórias que são trazidos à
tona em seu monólogo. Para tanto, a escolha da temática justifica-se pela leitura feita e por ser
um romance com um olhar mais direcionado às identidades do homem (pós) moderno em
situação conflitante consigo. Por consequência disso, apresenta-se para discussão os postulados
teóricos de Bauman (2004; 2011); Berman (1986); Halbwachs (1990); Freud (2014); Hall
(2006); Kierkegaard (2017); Lacan (2005); Pollak (1992); Sartre (2007) trazendo considerações
antes do momento da análise. Ademais, o segundo momento conta com discussões diversas
sobre a estética modernista, a trajetória e fortuna do autor seguidas da crítica por ser antes de
tudo uma apresentação para a análise. Dessa maneira, o momento determinou a leitura e
releitura do romance Angústia, revisitando Ramos (2023); Bosi (2015); Candido (2006);
Velloso (2010); Moisés (2019). Consequentemente, a análise está dividida em três capítulos,
nos quais são desenvolvidos sobre os conceitos teóricos, partindo para os discursos sobre o
autor, a obra e a crítica, refletidas na análise de fragmentos de Angústia, relacionando-os aos
aspectos de angústia e memórias do personagem fragmentado e decadente. Como resultados,
ressalta-se que Luís da Silva se confirma como um personagem construído com fragmentos e
decadência, sua trajetória marca seu conflito com a existência no mundo moderno, o monólogo
do personagem funde em idas imediatas ao passado como apelo para se distanciar do sofrimento
no presente. As lembranças são o ponto para essa libertação até certo modo cômodo, mas logo
se fundem com as situações do meio presente que acaba abalando ainda mais a consciência de

A Atualidade de Guerreiro Ramos
Full text linkPartindo da polêmica provocada em janeiro de 2022, depois da publicação de um artigo de opinião de Antonio Risério sobre a existência da racismo reverso, nos demos conta de que as críticas e reflexões de Guerreiro Ramos sobre as ciências sociais e sobre os estudos raciais no Brasil continuam muito atuais, no entanto, nosso autor raramente tem sido citado; fato que nos suscitou algumas indagações: o que explica o apagamento de Guerreiro Ramos nos estudos raciais produzidos no Brasil na atualidade? Seria Guerreiro Ramos um intelectual cancelado nas discussões raciais da atualidade? Estas indagações nos remetem a um breve estudo bibliográfico, através do qual analisamos algumas obras de grande relevância para os estudos étnico-raciais do Brasil. Consideramos salutar refletir sobre a importância de Guerreiro Ramos para a construção de uma perspectiva epistemológica sobre a questão racial no Brasil.Starting from the controversy provoked in January 2022, after the publication of an opinion article by Antonio Risério on the existence of reverse racism, we realized that Guerreiro Ramos' criticisms and reflections on social sciences and racial studies in Brazil they remain very current, however, our author has rarely been cited; a fact that raised some questions in us: what explains the erasure of Guerreiro Ramos in racial studies produced in Brazil today? Would Guerreiro Ramos be a canceled intellectual in today's racial discussions? These questions lead us to a brief bibliographical study, through which we analyze some works of great relevance to ethnic-racial studies in Brazil. We consider it useful to reflect on the importance of Guerreiro Ramos for the construction of an epistemological perspective on the racial issue in Brazil
