Objectualism of Juan Luis Martinez: the palpable significant
In the context of the neo-avant-garde literary, this paper explores parts of two works of Juan Luis Martinez, La Nueva Novela and La Poesia Chilena, where the author incorporates objects in the textual fabric, giving birth to a new technique, the objectualism. This technique, together with the pictograph and collage became characteristics of this movement in chilean literary. The objectualism represents a new way of understanding the text, in whose body the words has been displaced by a corporeal sign with tangible significant. The object in the textual fabric enhances the expressive and interpretive possibilities of the literary signs, which results in what today we know as object-work.
Methodology in the Ontology of Artworks: Exploring Hermeneutic Fictionalism
There is growing debate about what is the correct methodology for research in the ontology of artworks. In the first part of this essay, I introduce my view: I argue that semantic descriptivism is a semantic approach that has an impact on meta-ontological views and can be linked with a hermeneutic fictionalist proposal on the meta-ontology of artworks such as works of music. In the second part, I offer a synthetic presentation of the four main positive meta-ontological views that have been defended in philosophical literature about artworks and of some criticisms that can be lodged against them: Amie Thomasson’s global descriptivism, Andrew Kania’s local descriptivism, Julian Dodd’s folk-theoretic modesty, and David Davies’ rational accountability view. In the conclusion, I show the advantages of my view

This dissertation proposes an interpretation of 11 texts of Jorge Luis Borges essay book Historia de la Eternidad under the perspective of Rhetoric and its figures of speech on the construction of arguments. It also brings an overview of the Greek and Roman Rhetoric history, analyzing Aristotle, Gorgias, Isocrates, Cato, Cicero, all the way to modern exponents, such as Chaïm Perelman, Lucie Olbrechts-Tyteca and Oliver Reboul. It also proposes relating the Borgian essays to the Epideictic genre, replacing the figure of the speaker-audience by the author-reader, bringing the rhetoric discourse closer to the reality of the reader
