Infračervená spektroskopie multiferoik Autor:Veronica Goian Ústav: Oddělení dielektrik, Fyzikální ústav AV ČR v.v.i, Na Slovance 2, 182 21, Praha 8 Abstrakt: Pomocí infračervené spektroskopie jsme studovali řadu multiferoických a magnetoelektrických látek. V objemových vzorcích EuTiO3 jsme objevili u 300 K antiferodistortivní přechod z kubické mPm3 do tetragonální I4/mcm struktury. Nízkoteplotní dielektrické vlastnosti v EuTiO3 jsme vysvětlili anomálním teplotním chováním polárních fononů. Velký a anizotropní magnetoelektrický jev, který jsme našli v EuTiO3, jsme objasnili a experimentálně potvrdili pozorováním ladění fononových frekvencí vnějším magnetickým polem. Naše studia tahově napnutých vrstev EuTiO3 odhalila u 250 K posuvný ferroelektrický fázový přechod. Naši američtí kolegové objevili pod 4.2 K feromagnetické uspořádání ve stejných tenkých vrstvách. Tím jsme experimentálně potvrdili nedávno teoreticky předpovězenou novou možnost přípravy silných...Infrared Spectroscopy of Multiferroics Author: Veronica Goian Institute: Department of Dielectrics, Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences, Na Slovance 2, 182 21 Prague 8 Abstract: We have investigated numerous multiferroic and magnetoelectric materials mainly using infrared (IR) spectroscopy. Nevertheless, the studies were frequently combined with radio-frequency, microwave, THz, Raman and structural measurements provided by our colleagues, as well as by magnetic and elastic investigations, where we participated. Our main aim was the complex study of quantum-paraelectric antiferromagnet EuTiO3 in the form of crystals, ceramics and thin films. Near 300 K we have discovered an antiferrodistorive phase transition from cubic mPm3 to tetragonal I4/mcm structure in bulk EuTiO3 and explained its low-frequency dielectric properties by anomalous polar phonon behavior. Large and anisotropic magnetodielectric effect, which we found in EuTiO3, was successfully explained and experimentally confirmed by observation of tuning of phonon frequency with magnetic field. Our IR studies of tensile strained EuTiO3 thin films revealed a displacive ferroelectric phase transition near 250 K. Our American colleagues revealed the ferromagnetic order below 4.2 K in the same strained EuTiO3 thin film. In such way we have...Matematicko-fyzikální fakultaFaculty of Mathematics and Physic

Social networks are gaining more and more users among adults and adolescents. Socialization is not done anymore, nowadays face to face, but online. One of the major effects of this phenomenon is the socialization difficulties that preschool children have when entering kindergarten. The purpose of the present research is to improve the socialization capabilities of preschoolers, using as a method the counseling of parents. The counseling process lasted two months and have been approached topics related to parent-child relationships, parent’s identification of the child's stimulation needs, ways of meeting these needs, parents 'involvement in the children's games, parents' collaboration with the kindergarten represented by educator and social worker. The intensity of the difficulties of socializing the children was appreciated at the beginning and the end of the experiment. The results show that if the parents are more involved in the activities of the children following the counseling by the social worker, then their ability to socialize will see significant improvements

AbstractThe study is part of an European Lifelong Learning project named WELNESS – Skills for a true wellbeing that aims to equipping adult education professionals and learners in skills that will allow them to monitor their level of wellbeing and, when needed, to apply self-regulation strategies in order to return to satisfying level of wellbeing. This study represents the transnational wellbeing analysis – a study that aims to examine the needs of professionals and learners engaged in adult education and in particular to assess their baseline level of wellbeing and problems that they have that affect the level of their wellbeing. About 350 learners and 140 professionals in adult education were evaluated through questionnaires assessing their wellbeing and 35 learners and 35 professionals participated in focus-groups assessing their needs in relation to wellbeing. The results of the research will serve as a basis for the development of 6 workshops for educators and learners, workshops that aim to enhance their skills and level of wellbeing

RECOVERY OF CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES IN THE MASS SCHOOL

    No full text
The author presents in the theoretical framework some theories about intellectualdisability, common in the literature; the characteristic features of this and theprograms of recovery. The research is based on the idea that if a group of childrenwith intellectual disability is subject to a game-based learning training, then they willmake significantly greater progress than a group of children with intellectualdisabilities who did not benefit from this training. On a group of 43 children weremeasured the progress made by half of them who underwent this training through thegame. The results recorded after inferential data processing confirm the validation ofdeparture assumptions. It can be concluded that the intervention program structuredon different types of games has a high efficiency, which determines the need tointroduce game activities to help children with intellectual disabilities to expressthemselves more easily within a framework appropriate from an emotional andeducational point of view

Bullying is described as a set of aggressive actions, characterized byintent, repetition and an imbalance of forces. These characteristics refer tothe fact that the aggressor chooses a weaker victim, who will beaggressively and repeatedly assaulted, usually in school. Wanting to explorethis topic locally through the eyes of the students, we conducted a researchto identify the differences in perception and attitude of the students from twodifferent high schools (a national college and a technological high school),regarding this phenomenon. The main hypothesis is that tensions anddifficulties in the school environment can affect the attitudes of studentsregarding violence. We applied a questionnaire to 72 students (36 fromeach high school) from Sighetu Marmatiei. The results show that thestudents from the technological high school, know more information aboutbullying, and they consider this phenomenon to be less frequent comparedto the students from the national college, and the feeling of being safe atschool is greater. Students from both high schools expressed pro-victimattitudes to a greater extent, but the attitude toward the aggressor was morenegative in the case of students from the national college and more positivein the other school. We can conclude that if the academic standards of thestudents are higher, there is more tension is the school atmosphere, whichcan generate bullying situations and feelings of insecurity at school

Factor structure and psychometric properties of a Romanian translation of the drive for Muscularity Scale (DMS) in university men

We examined the psychometric properties of a Romanian translation of the 15-item Drive for Muscularity Scale (DMS). Male university students from Romania (N = 343) completed the DMS, as well as measures of self-esteem, body appreciation, and muscle discrepancy. Exploratory factor analysis indicated that DMS scores reduced to two factors that related to muscularity-oriented attitudes and behaviours, with both first-order factors loading onto a higher-order factor. However, confirmatory factor analysis indicated that a model with two first-order factors and a higher-order factor had poor fit. A two-factor model without a higher-order construct achieved acceptable but mediocre fit. Scores on the two-factor DMS model had adequate internal consistency and demonstrated acceptable convergent validity (significant correlations with self-esteem, body appreciation, and muscle discrepancy). These results provide support for a two-factor model of DMS scores in a Romanian-speaking sample and extends the availability of the DMS to a rarely-examined linguistic group.</p

We examined the psychometric properties of a Romanian translation of the 10-item Body Appreciation Scale-2 (BAS-2). A total of 453 university students from Romania completed the BAS-2, along with measures of disordered eating, self-esteem, satisfaction with life, and subjective happiness. In addition, a separate sample of university students (N=109) completed only the BAS-2 at two time-points three weeks apart. Principal-axis factor analysis indicated that BAS-2 scores had a one-dimensional factor structure in both women and men. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated that this factor structure had adequate fit, but invariance across sex was not supported. Further analyses indicated that BAS-2 scores evidenced internal consistency, convergent validity, and test-retest reliability in both women and men. These results suggest that BAS-2 scores reduce to one dimension in Romanian adults, but the lack of sex invariance may indicate that the same latent construct is not being measured in women and men.</p
