Vozes violentas, vidas caladas
Get PDFTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso, apresentado para obtenção do grau de Bacharela no curso de Teatro da Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense, UNESC.Este memorial é sobre uma performance apresentada e, excepcionalmente, gravada, que aborda uma problemática dos membros da comunidade LGBTQIA+, indivíduos que compõem uma das minorias sociais afetadas pelo preconceito e a pela violência, devido ao seu gênero, orientação sexual ou ambos. Aqui, conceituo relatos da minha experiência com a apresentação do “O papel de cada um”, teorias do conceito de gênero na percepção de diferentes autores e uma pesquisa quantitativa sobre a violência contra membros da comunidade LGBTQIA+, juntamente com relatos de agressões e óbitos dessas pessoas. Para a criação desta ação foram utilizados áudios que contêm imposições sociais, preconceito e violência que são reproduzidos durante toda a apresentação. Por fim, trata-se de um trabalho que será direcionado às pessoas que apoiam direitos LGBTQIA+ e buscam cada vez mais por respeito, igualitariedade e justiça
No limiar entre sintaxe e semântica: indagações sobre a construção e a (in)definição da noção de gramaticalidade em Chomsky

Quanto ao seu enfoque, esse é um trabalho de cunho epistemológico e crítico, cuja reflexão visa as questões que se entrelaçam e subsidiam a(s) (in)definição(ões) do conceito de gramaticalidade. Em momento algum, reclamo a existência de uma definição estanque do conceito de gramaticalidade. Meu intuito é que ele seja pensado e refletido com base no papel que desempenha na teoria e nos estudos da Linguística. Por esse motivo, minha postura ao longo do trabalho é altamente questionadora e não é um de meus objetivos alcançar alguma definição de gramaticalidade. Nesse sentido, posso dizer que meu trabalho objetiva mais levantar questões do que respondê-las. Para a discussão específica de meu objeto de estudo, parto do princípio de que a falta de discussão sobre o conceito de gramaticalidade faz com que ele apareça, na Linguística, algumas vezes vinculado à aceitabilidade do falante, outras à interpretabilidade das sentenças, outras ainda a questões puramente sintáticas. Quanto à metodologia, minha tese é resultado de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, baseada na leitura e análise crítica e cautelosa das obras do autor em questão, bem como na análise dos fatores - a saber: as noções de gramática, sintaxe e semântica - que, suponho, interagem na formação do conceito de gramaticalidade. Partindo disso, o texto está dividido em dois momentos. O primeiro traz uma exposição crítica tanto dos principais livros de Chomsky, quanto de textos e entrevistas que não se tornaram tão relevantes e o segundo tem o intuito de suscitar a discussão sobre o conceito. Por isso, desenvolvo nele uma reflexão que se inicia com uma pergunta simples: "O que é gramaticalidade?" e desemboca na tentativa de responder a essa pergunta explorando as noções de gramática, sintaxe e semântica e suas relações com o conceito de gramaticalidade.Abstract : This thesis is concerned with the notion of grammaticality within Chomsky`s framework as a way of bringing out the construction and the (in)definition of this concept that is spread over Linguistics. In which concerns to its focus, this is an epistemological work with a critical perspective whose questions are connected and serve as basis to the (in)definition(s) of the concept of grammaticality. During the work, I don#t claim the existence of a definition of this concept. On the contrary, my objective is to defend that we should think about it and establish a reflection about it based on its role on Chomsky#s theory and on Linguistics. For this reason, my position along this thesis is highly questioning and I can say that my work aims to raise questions instead of answering them. In order to discuss my object on inquiry, I start by saying that the lack of a definition to the notion of grammaticality is the reason why it appears in Linguistics sometimes related to the acceptability and interpretability, and other times to purely syntactic matters. Besides, this is a bibliographical research based on a careful reading of the chosen books and on a critical analysis of them and of three notions # syntax, semantics and grammar - that, I suppose, interact on the construction of the concept of grammaticality. Thus, this text is divided in two parts. The first one brings a critical review of the main works published by Chomsky as well as of texts and interviews that didn#t become famous. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Get PDFWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Get PDFA proposta desse artigo é analisar a interpretação feita por Chomsky, em Lingüística Cartesiana e Linguagem e Pensamento, sobre a presença dos conceitos de Estrutura Profunda e Superficial na Gramática de Port-Royal. Sabendo que na gramática esse conceito tem raízes semânticas, a idéia, aqui, é a de investigar em que medida essa interpretação influenciou o desenvolvimento do projeto chomskiano enquanto proposta de relação entre linguagem e pensamento.
