The framework of the thesis consists of three major parts, first, the influence of Chinese traditional political culture on, and the formation of, the political role of the PL A; second, the influence of domestic political struggles and external military conflicts on the development of the political role of the PLA; and the third, the analysis of the transition of the PLA's political role from the structure and personnel arrangements of the CCPCC Within the above-mentioned three scopes, this thesis make a thorough discussion on the following: (1) The relationship between the structure of the PRC and the formation of the PLA's political role; (2) How has ideology influenced the army's political role; (3) What is Mao's viewpoint and his influence on the development of the army's political role; (4) What is the link between the army and the party, and how has this developed; (6) What accounts for the expansion of the PLA's political functions; (7) What is the influence of political factional struggles on the PLA's political role; (8) Is it political institution or military institution that controls the recruitment of the military elite; (9) What are the disparities between the military elite in handling international conflicts and what are their political considerations; (10) What is the Party's position in the army; (11) How have the Party’s important meetings and personnel arrangements influenced the rise and fall of the PLA's political role

No full textBerbagai kebijakan pemerintah kolonial seperti wijkenstelsel, passenstelsel,
aturan cara berpakaian, mencabut hak penjualan opium, dan mencegah peminjaman
kepada lintah darat yang mayoritas adalah mata pencaharian orang Tionghoa,
membuat kesukaran bagi kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat Tionghoa.
Kesulitan yang dialami tersebut dan juga faktor dari luar, yaitu munculnya perasaan
“solidaritas Cina” memantik terjadinya pergerakan nasionalisme Tionghoa. Adapun
rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini, yaitu (1) Bagaimana pergerakan
nasionalisme Tionghoa di Batavia, (2) Bagaimana organisasi pemuda Tionghoa di
Batavia, (3) Bagaimana aktivitas organisasi Chung Hsioh dan Chung Hwa Hui
Jeugdorganisatie tahun 1915-1942.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian sejarah yang
terdiri atas empat tahap. Pertama adalah heuristik, yaitu tahap mengumpulkan
sumber. Adapun sumber primer yang digunakan penulis, yaitu surat kabar
Bataviaasch nieuwsblad, De Indische courant, De locomotief, Sin Po, dan majalah,
seperti 10-Jarig Bestuurs-Jubileum (Van Chung Hwa Hui), Chung Hsioh-Bode,
Chung Hwa Hui Jeugdorganisatie. Selain itu, sumber sekunder dari buku, jurnal,
skripsi, dan tesis juga digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Kedua, yaitu kritik sumber.
Pada tahap ini, penulis mengkritisi sumber-sumber yang telah diperoleh melalui
kritik eksternal dan internal. Selanjutnya adalah interpretasi, yaitu tahap
menafsirkan dan menganalisis sumber sejarah, sehingga menjadi fakta sejarah.
Terakhir adalah historiografi yang merupakan tahap menyusun, merekonstruksi,
dan menjabarkan fakta sejarah menjadi suatu rangkaian penulisan peristiwa sejarah.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pergerakan nasionalisme
Tionghoa yang terjadi di Batavia terwujud melalui pembentukan organisasi Tiong
Hoa Hwee Koan (THHK). Kemunculan THHK sebagai pelopor dari organisasi
etnis Tionghoa beserta beberapa faktor lain seperti kemudahan memperoleh fasilitas
olahraga karena kemampuan ekonomi sebagian orang Tionghoa yang berada, dan
tujuan pemuda Tionghoa disini yang belum jelas. Memicu lahirnya organisasi
pemuda Tionghoa di Batavia. Tercatat sampai tahun 1936, terdapat tiga
perkumpulan yang aktif. Chung Hsioh, Shiong Tih Hui, dan Hua Chiao Tsiong Nien
Hui. Chung Hsioh merupakan salah satu organisasi yang lahir di Batavia. Pada
tahun yang sama juga didirikan organisasi Chung Hwa Hui Jeugdorganisatie.
Akhirnya, terdapat dua organisasi pemuda Tionghoa yang terbentuk di Batavia,
yaitu Chung Hsioh dan Chung Hwa Hui Jeugdorganisatie. Kedua organisasi
tersebut mempunyai aktivitas dalam kegiatan olahraga dan kegiatan sosial berupa
pertunjukkan amal serta penggalangan dana

Transcoding the I Ching as Composition Techniques in Chou Wen Chung, Zhao Xiaosheng and Chung Yiu Kwong
Get PDFThis article examined into three Chinese composers’ compositional method based on the ancient Chinese philosophy I Ching. Transcoding the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching in the piano solo works of Chou Wen Chung, Zhao Xiao Sheng and Chung Yiu Kwong display new representative of Chinese New Music. The analysis shows Chou and Chung’s creations that emphasize the use of the 64 hexagrams within a Westernized context, while Zhao brought out a new and individual compositional method based on the Chinese ancient philosophy that shows a complete departure from the West.
