ChatGPT: ethics and impact on work
No full textopenLa tesi è incentrata sull’intelligenza artificiale e più in particolare su ChatGPT, attualmente l’esempio più lampante di questa tecnologia. Attraverso l’elaborato si vogliono analizzare i problemi, etici e soprattutto quelli legati al mondo del lavoro, che questa nuova tecnologia ha portato e porterà.
In particolare, la ricerca si propone di esaminare le implicazioni etiche dell'utilizzo di ChatGPT e esaminare i possibili impatti lavorativi della diffusione di quest’ultimo nel mondo del lavoro.
La tesi si basa su una revisione e analisi della letteratura e, laddove ci siano, sull’utilizzo di dati quantitativi per misurare l’impatto di ChatGPT sull'occupazione e sulla qualità del lavoro.
La ricerca si articolerà in 3 capitoli. Il primo avrà lo scopo di presentare l’intelligenza artificiale e più nello specifico ChatGPT. Il secondo analizzerà e ripoterà i principali problemi di questa tecnologia con un focus principale per quanto riguarda i temi dell’etica e del lavoro.
Infine, la tesi delineerà alcune prospettive future sull'utilizzo di ChatGPT nel mondo del lavoro. Si discuteranno possibili soluzioni per ridurre gli impatti negativi sull'occupazione e sulla qualità del lavoro, come ad esempio la formazione di nuove competenze e abilità in grado di adattarsi ai nuovi scenari lavorativi. Inoltre, si discuteranno anche le possibili applicazioni positive di ChatGPT delineando così un quadro previsionale per gli anni a venire
PENGGUNAAN CHATGPT UNTUK PENULISAN KARYA ILMIAH BERBASIS PENELITIAN TINDAKAN KELAS
Full text linkSalah satu implementasi Artificial Intelligence (AI) yang dapat mendukung penulisan karya ilmiah adalah ChatGPT. Penggunaan prompt pada ChatGPT dengan teknik yang baik dan efektif mampu menghasilkan tulisan yang memiliki nilai ilmiah. Guru bertanggung jawab untuk mengevaluasi pembelajaran melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), namun sering kesulitan ketika menyampaikan hasil PTK dalam tulisan ilmiah. Hal serupa juga terjadi pada guru-guru di SMAN 1 Tangerang Selatan. Oleh karena itu, tim dosen pengabdian mengadakan pelatihan peningkatan kualitas profesionalisme guru dengan menggunakan ChatGPT dalam penulisan karya ilmiah berbasis PTK. Dalam kegiatan ini, guru dibimbing mulai dari penulisan hingga pengiriman ke jurnal ilmiah. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan membentuk kelompok kecil dan menerapkan metode hybrid (online dan offline). Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa sebelum pelatihan, 57% peserta belum mengenal ChatGPT dan 24% belum pernah melakukan PTK. Namun, setelah pelatihan, 97% peserta merasa ChatGPT membantu dalam penulisan karya ilmiah dan 100% berkomitmen untuk melaksanakan PTK demi peningkatan hasil pembelajaran
“The ChatGPT bot is causing panic now – but it’ll soon be as mundane a tool as Excel”: analysing topics, sentiment and emotions relating to ChatGPT on Twitter
Full text linkChatGPT, a sophisticated chatbot system by OpenAI, gained significant attention and adoption in 2022 and 2023. By generating human-like conversations, it attracted over 100 million monthly users; however, there are concerns about the social impact of ChatGPT, including panic, misinformation and ethics. Twitter has become a platform for expressing views on ChatGPT and popular NLP approaches like topic modelling, sentiment analysis and emotion detection are commonly used to study public discourses on Twitter. While these approaches have limitations, an analytical process of existing best practices captures the evolving nature of these views. Previous studies have examined early reactions and topics associated with ChatGPT on Twitter but have not fully explored the combination of topics, sentiment and emotions, nor have they explicitly followed existing best practices. This study provides an overview of the views expressed on Twitter about ChatGPT by analysing 88,058 tweets from November 2022 to March 2023 to see if panic and concern were replicated in Twitter discourses. The topics covered human-like text generation, chatbot development, writing assistance, data training, efficiency, impact on business and cryptocurrency. Overall, the sentiment was predominantly positive, indicating that concerns surrounding ChatGPT were not widely replicated. However, sentiment fluctuated, with a decline observed around the launch of ChatGPT Plus. The discourse saw consistent patterns of trust and fear, with trust maintaining a steady presence until a decline potentially influenced by concerns about biases and misinformation. We discuss how our findings build upon existing research regarding ChatGPT by providing trajectories of topics, sentiment and emotions

It offers innovative and interactive ways for English language education. In addition to reviewing various research works about ChatGPT and its influence on English language education, the questionnaires were conducted among English teachers and experienced learners to understand how they utilize ChatGPT for educational purposes and their perceptions of its effectiveness. Key findings reveal that the majority of the students and teachers share the experience of using ChatGPT and find it quite effective to apply for specific tasks. Nonetheless, some report the issues related to the limitations and misuse of ChatGPT. ChatGPT uses deep learning techniques like transformer architecture and self-attention mechanisms to replicate human speech and provide coherent and appropriate replies to the situation. The model mainly depends on the patterns discovered in the training data, which might result in incorrect or illogical conclusions. In the context of open-domain chats, we investigate the components, capabilities constraints, and potential applications of ChatGPT along with future opportunities. We begin by describing the components of ChatGPT followed by a definition of chatbots. We present a new taxonomy to classify them. Our taxonomy includes rule-based chatbots, retrieval-based chatbots, generative chatbots, and hybrid chatbots. Next, we describe the capabilities and constraints of ChatGPT. Finally, we present potential applications of ChatGPT and future research opportunities.
