    Glaucoma is considered a neurodegenerative disease due to its pathophysiology and is one of the most common causes of vision loss worldwide. The treatment of glaucoma is essentially based on the reduction of IOP, through pharmacological therapies. The iPSCs enabling autologous transplantation and have the advantage of not generating immune-mediated rejection in the host, that iPSC can be induced to differentiate into a cell type that resembles to TM cells, The iPSC-TM. The data demonstrate that intraocular injection of iPSC-TM prevents the IOP elevation, the aqueous humor outflow reduction and results in preservation of Retinal Ganglion Cell (RGC) density in vivo mice model

    Primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) is a worldwide disease with intraocular pressure (IOP) being an important risk factor for the disease. Pharmacological and surgical treatments have been mainly targeted on lowering IOP by decreasing aqueous humor production or increasing aqueous humor outflow. Stem cell therapies may open new frontiers in regenerative ophthalmology branch. In POAG there is a strong association with pathologic degeneration of the trabecular meshwork (TM) and regenerative cell-therapy approaches have been focused mainly on modulation of the degeneration. Many different adult stem cell types have been discovered in different parts of the eye such as the corneal endothelium (CE) and anterior non-filtering portion of the TM called Schwalbe’s Ring region. These stem cells may supply new cells for the TM and may regenerate the TM structure thus reducing intraocular pressure (IOP) and restore the homeostatic function of the eye. In this paper, we report the studies’ latest findings and present our perspective on approaches that seem promising in the management of POAG

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Research & Development (R&D) Berdasarkan temuan dan hasil penelitian tersebut, didapat simpulan bahwa Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) adalah alat yang digunakan untuk membunuh bakteri, kuman, dan jamur sebelum air laut masuk ke tangki ballast. Peneliti menentukan model pengoperasian alat peraga Ballast Water Treatment System, yaitu dengan menggunakan sebuah rangkaian elektronika sebagai otak untuk memerintahkan sistem tesebut bekerja sesuai dengan manual pengamatan yang dilakukan di atas kapal. Perancangan alat peraga pengoperasian Ballast Water Treatment System dilakukan secara urut pada setiap proses pembuatannya dan sudah disesuaikan dengan rumusan masalah. alat peraga ini bermanfaat sebagai media pembelajaran sehingga materi lebih mudah dipahami karena diperagakan dengan menggunakan sebuah alat peraga

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     TINGKAT IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN MATA PELAJARAN ILMU BANGUNAN DI SMK N 3 YOGYAKARTA Oleh: Chabib Zulkarahman 09505244019 ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) tingkat implementasi persiapan dan perencanaan mata pelajaran Ilmu Bangunan siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, (2) tingkat implementasi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran Ilmu Bangunan siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, (3) tingkat implementasi penilaian pembelajaran mata pelajaran Ilmu Bangunan siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta (4) implementasi pembelajaran mata pelajaran Ilmu Bangunan siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian survai dengan metode penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta pada bulan Juli 2014. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X mata pelajaran Ilmu Bangunan Jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta berjumlah 88 siswa. Penentuan besar jumlah sampel menggunakan rumus dari Issac dan Michael, didapat sampel sejumlah 72 siswa. Jumlah sampel setiap kelas diambil secara proportional dan random terhadap populasi yang bersangkutan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket bersifat tertutup dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas konstruk instrumen dengan expert judgement dan pengujian validitas isi dengan uji korelasi antar item. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dengan bantuan program SPSS v.16. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persiapan dan perencanaan pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Bangunan berada dalam kategori baik dengan rerata skor sebesar 70,61 (72,92%), pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran pada kategori baik (58,33%) dengan rerata skor sebesar 14,5 (72,50%). Dan penilaian pembelajaran pada kategori baik (61,11%) dengan rerata skor sebesar 16,11 (80,55%). Sehingga implementasi pembelajaran mata pelajaran Ilmu Bangunan siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta berada dalam kategori baik dengan rerata skor sebesar 101,22 (74,43%).
