Why to study abroad? An example of clustering
In the last decades in the Italian and European universities, there has been
an increasing emphasis in all activities related to internationalization. These activities
have gradually increased in terms of number of students and teachers involved, have
become more complex and cover many aspects of the university education. The
University of Bergamo has aligned, making internationalization one of the main
guidelines for the future development. The purpose of this contribution is to analyse
students’ motivations and expectations regarding their study abroad experience. The
authors have conducted an on-line survey addressed to a sample of about 1300 Italian
students enrolled in the University of Bergamo. To assess the results of the survey, we
propose a mapping of the response variables using the VOSviewer software
Motivations and Expectations of Students’ Mobility Abroad: A Mapping Technique
Internationalization of higher education is a rapidly rising phenomenon and it has become a priority in the European education policy. At the same time, research in this area is expanding with the aim of understanding motivations and potential benefits of international students’ mobility. Within this context, the purpose of our contribution is to analyse students’ motivations and the fulfillment of their expectations about the mobility experience abroad. To this aim, we have conducted an on-line survey addressed to a sample of about 1300 Italian students enrolled in a medium size university (the University of Bergamo) with outward mobility experiences during the six academic years from 2008/2009 to 2013/2014. To assess the results of the survey, we propose a mapping of the answer variables using the VOSviewer software

“Dialogue between Translators and Authors. The Example of Claudio Magris”
The paper focuses on the forms of cooperation between authors and their translator(s) in all cases in which the two operate simultaneously. This issue is explored on the example of the Trieste-born author Claudio Magris, who cultivates a very close relationship with most of his translators.
Writing and translation have been coexisting in this author throughout his career and have resulted in the heightened sensitivity of Magris the author with regards to translation, as the first part of the analysis shows. The second part describes the dialogue between Magris and the translators of his works, and ends with the more general question of the significance and role of such a form of exchange
Consideraciones sobre la poética de Claudio Rodríguez
The purpose of this paper is to study the poetics of Claudio Rodríguez, delimiting its components and trying to clarify them and to present them as a whole. The author left some pages written on his conception of poetry that encourage reflection and, in some cases, interpretation. So with his conception of poetry as a gift and inebriation, as an alliance and condemnation or celebration (giving title to his collections of poems), or with notions such as «participation», «living contemplation», «living expression » or «personal rhythm» that make up his way of understanding the poetic process.
Abstract 678: A strategy to overcome the interfering problem of tissue embedding OCT compound in activity based multiplex profiling of tyrosine kinase substrates
Abstract
Introduction: The analysis of clinically relevant human tissue preserved in optimal cutting temperature (OCT) medium with activity based proteomic approaches are promising for the discovery of novel druggable disease biomarkers for the diagnosis, prognosis and prediction of response to therapeutic interventions. Nonetheless, and for many different proteomic approaches, there are important signal interferences observed in the presence of the OCT compound.
Methods: We tested activity based multiplex profiling tyrosine kinase substrates in a large batch of neoplastic and non-neoplastic lung resection specimen embedded with or without OCT. We observed significant differences in overall phosphorylation levels and searched for reasons explaining such a large effect.
Results: We ruled out the implication of either short versus long storage time after sample extraction or of nonhomogeneous batch processing of samples. We documented that the clear downward shift in overall phosphorylation levels coincided with the introduction of OCT as an improved embedding medium for resection specimen. For all the kinomes extracted, we developed a corrective procedure where a median centering was performed on the values of each peptide, separately for the with or without OCT samples.
Conclusions: We applied corrective filtering of data to the multiplex profiling approach of well characterised tyrosine kinase substrates obtained in lung resection specimen embedded with or without OCT. With the OCT correction parameters applied, the quantitation of molecular prognosis signature based on tyrosine kinase activity differences found in lung adenocarcinoma resection specimens may result in the identification of novel targets for future anti-lung cancer therapies.

The Author In Front of the Mirror, by Claudio de la Torre. Study and Critical Edition
This paper reveals the complete text titled The Author In Front of the Mirror by the Spanish writer Claudio de la Torre (1895, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria – 1973, Madrid), never before published in its entirety and destined for an apparently cancelled conference in 1970. The reader will encounter within a first-person journey through family related as well as historic events that marked the author's life and through the most important of his dramatic works equally a good opportunity to get to know some of his creative processes, conflicts, contexts and personal aspirations.226187ESCI0,016Q4D9ERIH PLU
